Pros: close proximity to Philly (12 minutes), free parking, nice lobby, reasonable fares, and fast check in/check out. Comfortable beds.

Cons: because they share lot with other establishments, parking can be a hassle.
Some furnitures were worn, including bathroom tub (rust stains are not attractive). When we checked in we noticed that in the corners of the room were dust and trash, not vacuumed. Found hair in bathroom and closet space. Made us paranoid so we wiped down everything on our own with Lysol wipes. Noticed that hotel carpets were stained and the stainless steel in the elevators can have better treatment.

I would only come back to stay here if they improved on house keeping.

This is a nice looking hotel from the outside, and the hotel room is good size and has the dressers, desks etc one would expect from a Courtyard, although even with all the lamps on I thought the room was a little dark. However, the furniture in our room was shabby and the room wasn’t well cleaned. The carpet between the night table and the bed (I dropped my watch) had clearly not been vacuumed for some time.

Be aware that the hotel is not located close to the tourist attractions of Phila, so it would only be convenient if one wants to be in the suburbs. Finally, the hotel advertises on Trip Advisor that it offers free parking, but in fact they charge $14 a night.

A comfortable, rather spacious, clean room, but don’t go to the second floor if you’d like something of a view. I tried the Bistro for breakfast, which was fine. They accommodated me with a simple order of eggs over easy and artisan toast coming to $10 with tax (no charge! for ice water). There is plenty of parking for which, quite regrettably, they charge $14 per day (including tax).

One of the worst hotel stays ever. Don’t let the fact that this place is decorated nicely fool you. We stayed there when there was a large mission retreat going on. The entire group was smoking weed in the building and everything stunk. Our cloths smelled awful from it coming into our room as it was in all of the hallways. As someone who has asthma, this is something you don’t enjoy smelling on your business trip. Second, there was numerous noise issues and we let the front desk staff know several times at night and they did nothing to stop it. Every time you talked to the front desk they didn’t care. They just seemed like they didn’t want to be there and didn’t care if you had an issue or not. The hotel maids never cleaned our room until the last night after begging them to. They seemed Annoyed that they had to even do it when you asked them to. Called to get a partial refund, was greeted with the supervisor who gave us a half nights stay worth of points ...seriously. Pathetic. I couldn’t even speak to the main manager about this issue as she seemed to cowardly or too busy to be bothered. People come here to not have to smell like marijuana. Managers, if your reading this which I’m sure you are, do yourselves a favor either start caring or get out. If you don’t care what happens to your guests then your staff won’t. I will be however making sure higher ups hear about this place. Do yourself a favor, skip this place and stay at the Hilton.

Stayed here during house renovations, since it was close to home. Regretted ever checking in. The staff seemed nice enough, but I had to chase down toilet paper, and requests sheets so that I could change them, because I could not get them to come clean my room during a two week stay.
When the weekend came around, the place was overrun by children, and I could not enjoy a moment in the pool, or lobby, or anything.
There are other local hotels, avoid this one.

The first thing we noticed when getting to our room was the lovely note that addressed as “Valued Guest”. I’ve enclosed a picture. It gave us lots of useful information about the hotel like the fact that they will never, under any circumstances, enter our room. This includes cleaning. This is to protect us from the pandemic, which is so thoughtful and caring of them.

Interestingly, this experience taught me that the COVID virus has some fascinating properties. If you are in your room, it is extremely deadly and virulent and requires complete isolation. However, if you’re in the restaurant or bar spending money, you can congregate freely and maskless. I had no idea spending money had anti-viral properties. This keeps the restaurant workers very busy. On the other hand, the housekeepers that previously worked there now have a chance to pursue other interests with their free time (perhaps finding new recipes for dog food to feed their families.

The room itself was fun. We had a resident pet (see enclosed picture) who went out of her way to kill any insects in one corner of our room. There was a fun puzzle sticker peeling away in the shower (see picture). I can’t figure out what it means, can you? We also enjoyed the extra space provided by not having a security safe in the room. Who needs one when no one will ever come in.

The employees were fun too. When I called to reserve the pool per the instructions on the lovely Valued Guest note, we were told we didn’t need to. Haha Mr. Desk Clerk – gaslighting is fun.

In keeping with their apparent motto of “We can always do less”, I had an experience in the Bistro with a barista who was extremely eager to do a great job and take good care of me. But management noticed immediately and instantly reprimanded him for it. I like a business that stick to its values!

I wanted to let management know about my fun and interesting experience. As you’ll see at the bottom of the Valued Guest note, they let us know how desperately they want to exceed our expectations and ask us to fill out a brief survey on the back of the letter. But flip it over and hahaha it’s a blank page.

Well played Courtyard… well played.

I really thought this place was going to be too good to be true, and it was. It had its own parking lot, in a safe area, and gorgeous lobby setup, with extremely nice front desk staff. However, as soon as I got to my room there was a SIGNIFICANT problem with it. I'm not one to complain, but I went down to the front desk and alerted them to this. I was told that they would comp my breakfast, and parking, and if I wanted to speak to a manager to come back in thirty minutes. I came back, still no manager, so i was offered a different room. Parking was never comped and breakfast vouchers were never offered. The second room did not appear to have the same 'problem' as the first one we stayed in, but the fact we were never even apologized too or offered any type of reassurance or talk by a management staff, really put a bad taste in my mouth. I travel to Philly about 4 times a year, and I have never been more displeased with a hotel.

We stayed at Marriott's Courtyard Inn in Philadelphia, and encountered the same problems we'd encountered at other Marriott properties in recent years. No soap in the shower dispenser, and a request at the front desk failed to correct the issue. But a more serious problem was encountered by my in-laws on the floor beneath me. Their bathroom was filthy; a towel dragged across the tile floor picked up a wide swath of black grime. But the worst was yet to come. During the night they awoke to the sound of rustling, but saw nothing when they switched on the light. They had the idea to leave their phone recording video while propped up on the desk. I've attached photos taken from this video. As a reminder to potential guests and hotel management, rodent urine can be harmful to humans, potentially causing the infectious disease Hantavirus pulmonary syndrome.

Floyd, the front desk clark, was fantastic! He went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable, starting from checking us in and making sure our room was close to the stairwell because my daughter doesn't use elevators. Additionally, he provided us with a list of great recommendations on where to eat, such as Larry's Steaks, which as great Philly steak sandwiches. We are grateful for his hospitality and making our stay welcoming. Looking forward to seeing Floyd again when we return in June.

Does housekeeping even clean the rooms?!? Questionable. Took a shower and looked up to see two dirty socks hanging off the shower curtain. What’s worse is that the manager on site, Perri, refused to provide any concession. If that’s how Marriott trains their employees, then I want no part of it.

I believe they allow pets but it may be challenging to have one with you. The rooms are small and there's no park nearby to walk them. The parking lot is big so that might suffice.
