This hotel is clearly impacted by the Pandemic and is cutting corners with cleaning. I went to stay there for a work trip and did not stay one night, because when I went to go to bed I found multiple black hairs and a bug in my bed. I promptly requested a refund and went to the Moxy next door (much better experience). While I do appreciate that they provided a full refund, the front desk associate was rude and insinuated I made this up. Who would want to leave a hotel to hunt down a new one at 10 at night?
Good location and decent room. Unfortunately, front desk personnel (Kevin) was poorly trained and rude, ruining the overall experience. Marriott should provide better frontline training and reviews to offers its clients a more pleasant stay, in line with its brand.
I stayed a couple times in the last month. It is a great location downtown, near the world trade, tons of subways, plenty of dining options. Rooms were a good size for NYC and they were clean. Staff is friendly. I got a good (quiet) night sleep both times. I’ll be back.
Simple as the title really, not much more to say. You can see and know what you’re getting in a room from the pictures, it’s fine to crash at for a couple days. but all in all it’s pretty key for a hotel to have AC, and that’ll drag the score down a few notches.
Worse hotel experience ever in NYC. Window did not block any sound making sleep impossible at night, especially with nearby construction. Hotel hosted an extremely loud party past 9pm making staying in the room intolerable for that evening. Bathroom taps mis-labeled. Requests from Gold member to help remediate situation were ignored. Half the staff were incompetent. Hotel pantry not stocked. Smallest room ever. Coffee maker dusty as were other items. Obviously not cleaned in some time!
