We did precheck in online on our way into the city. Within couple hours was notified keys were ready. Check in was fast and friendly! Room was on 36th floor and those views spectacular!! Room was small, but it’s NYC. Was clean and comfortable. Only downside was no fridge or microwave for water or left overs. Location location location!!! Restaurants and bars and cafes all on the same block. Subways were only 2 blocks away. World Trade Center was 2 blocks away. Wall Street only couple blocks away. Battery park and ferries were within 10 minute walk. Even took the 20 minute walk to the Brooklyn bridge. Will stay here any time we head into the city again. So much calmer and cleaner than Times Square area.

We had an amazing time in your hôtel, friendly staff, any questions we had were very welcome and they were very kind to unswer us. The photos taken are the view from our room. Clean, room with a king size bed. I recommend this hotel. Even if the waiting for the lift, we had time to speak to other people staying at the hotel. Keep going, and thank you so much for your kindness. Véronique.

The hotel was good, the rooms were tidy and clean, however there were a few scratches and dents to the decor. The staff were very helpful and polite but sometimes the queue for the lift was very long and some guests pushed in line to get in to the lift as there are two entrances. There weren’t also enough umbrellas for guests to use as it was raining hard outside. Overall a good hotel, I would go here again but probably not during the high seasons when there are lots of other guests. Also, my room was next to the fire escape and the door slammed a lot during the night waking me up.

Regardless of what some people say, the elevator delay is real. it isn't all the time, but it happened a good 85% of our time there. At odd hours, even after 10pm, you have a line stretching to the front desk. There are 50 floors, three elevators of which one elevator is chronically in use by staff. The elevator is also very moody. You have to use a room key to press your floor. The elevator however, will frequently not accept your floor. But it does bring together strangers in the elevator who will help each other try to push floor buttons! You do have to strategically plan when to call Uber so you can meet the car timely. Also, the higher the floor you stay on, the more you hear the wind noise at night. You may also have the run the a/c at night to cool the room, which makes it even noisier. Rooms are small, what you would expect. Sink is very small if you like to hand launder. There isn't room for anything beyond a pair of socks. I do like the location of this place very much - near Rector Street station, Trinity Church, short walk to the Battery. The front desk is also very good. Luggage storage is free, just remember to tip. I would stay here again, but only if I could get a room under the 4th floor.

Yes, be prepared for some waiting time for the elevators (only 3 of them for 50 floors), but not that much like others say here, they're exaggerating. During our 3 nights stay we never waited more than 7, 8 min. Location is great, close to several subway stations. 9/11 memorial, Liberty statue ferry, One WTC, financial district, and other southern Manhattan attractions are in walking distance. Plenty of restaurants around. Rooms are small, but it's likewise in all NYC hotels - been there 3 times in different parts of Manhattan. Anyway, you're all day out exploring. Book well in advance and follow up - we managed to book our room for around 200$/night for a party of 3, some 5 months before our stay.

Room was good, Shower great, location excellent for our needs (only a couple mins walk from Subway Stop (Rector St) The BAD - Lifts!! Only 3 lifts, and you can be waiting ages for enough space on one to be able to use it! We was on 23rd Floor, and found it quicker to get a up lift to come back down again. (After 4 full lifts going down had past us by!!)

Stayed in April and would definitely stay again. Very clean hotel with friendly staff. Slow elevators though. Room was a little small but on par for other NYC hotels at this price point but the bathroom sink was laughably small. The connected restaurant is very...well lets just say there's a great variety. It is St. George's tavern that looks like a pub but has mostly Asian dishes but you can also get quesadillas, guacamole and other things. I had wings and a caesar salad and both were good. They did not have coffee service (I dont like using in room coffee makers - I prefer something fresher) which was aggravating but there is a DD across the street. Great pizza place next door as well. Just know if you are going to spend a large portion of your trip in midtown (times square) or uptown, be prepared for subway rides to be ~20 to 40 minutes.

It is 10pm and there are about 100 people in the lobby waiting for an elevator. There are only three and one always seems to be in service. There has been no hot water all day. We have a corner room that is so small only one person can be moving in the room at a time The air conditioning is very loud and we have to keep turning it off and on to get it to work. The toilet keeps making a whining noise. Really nothing positive to say about the hotel. Maybe I’ll get to have a shower tomorrow. Hopefully I won’t have to walk up and down twelve flights of stairs to get to and from my room

For us, Lower Manhattan was the best choice of location. We were on the 40th floor in room 4001, having views across the Hudson to New Jersey City as well as a window framing the One World Tower and 9/11 Memorial. We did not experience significant delays waiting for the lift/ elevator as some have reported. Sometimes ‘going up to go down’ was the way to go. Never experienced waits for breakfast which set us up for the day. Had evening meals there on some evenings - the orange chicken was amazing. There is a great pizza place next door and often took slices to the room (as did many guests judging by people carrying pizza boxes)! We chose to travel by Uber (about $40 to Central Park; $35 to Midtown locations; $80 back from a Broadway show at a busy time and $85 to JFK using an Uber comfort). Plenty of subway stations nearby for those on a budget. If you want a special meal, Morton’s the steakhouse is 100 yards up Washington Street (budget $250 for 2 including wine and 20% tip - the service was outstanding!) Also a Starbucks nearby if you want a lactose free coffee. Two good shopping malls nearby including the Oculus. Service at the hotel was superb - promptly delivered extra coffee, fresh towels or emptied bins on request. Room serviced every other day. A quieter location but felt absolutely safe at all times of day or night. Would be more than happy to recommend without reservation. We’ll be back!!

Stayed at the Holiday Inn Manhattan for 10 nights over Easter. This hotel is a nice comfy hotel, in a decent location close to a metro stop that will take you into the heart of New York. The hotel room is a decent size, with a good size bathroom and shower. The bed is very comfy with decent pillows and sheets. The Aircon/heating works really well and the window opens to let in some fresh air if needed. The window does let in a little bit of noise, but you soon get use to it. The only negative to this hotel, as others have mentioned, is the lifts. This is the main reason I haven’t given the hotel a 5 star review. There are not enough lifts in the hotel for the amount of rooms. This leads to quite a bit of queuing in the morning and the evening. To be fair to the hotel, they did try and manage this situation, sending out staff to manage the lifts. It never lead to horrendous wait times, the maximum we probably waited was 15 minutes. Hotel is nice and close to a subway, and you can be in Times Square in 20 minutes on the subway. There is a nice cafe next door and a pizza place, and a 7/11 just around the corner. The hotel is situated right next to the One World Trade Centre and just a short walk from the Statue of Liberty ferry and Battery Park which is a lovely area to walk around. Overall this is a nice hotel in New York at a decent price. If I was to visit New York again I would definitely stay here again.
