Hate to say it but this hotel is not worth the cost. There are comparably priced hotels in Manhattan that are much nicer (Conrad Midtown is one example.) I got the two story queen loft and it looked nothing like the pictures. Everything is clearly outdated. There's a coffee table in the photo that's not in the rooms. (The front desk attendant was even like I don't know they put that in the photo.) I also read I was supposed to have a fridge. I don't. I called asking about keys to the upstairs door and was told I had to come downstairs and get a separate key. But when I got down there, it turned out I did not. The key works in both doors on both levels. Had such high hopes but won't be staying here again.
My wife and I decided to take couples trip to New York City. We had an amazing time and the property was quiet compared to Times Square. As soon as we pulled up we were greeted by the bell staff., thank you for that. The front desk staff were amazing an allowed us to check in early since we had a red eye flight. We stopped at the café down the hall from the front desk and were kindly greeted by Wendy. She gave us so many recommendations for different restaurants in the area and outside of the city which we loved! Wendy my wife and I thank you so much for your hospitality.
Booked here few months back for a week visit from the UK - we usually like to stay with a chain name for the security and standards but this fell so short! We arrived to a nice lobby - to be greeted by a rude woman on reception - no hello, no welcome, took my name and my money and then slapped my room card down and when I didn’t know what floor we were on she proceeded to just tap the card as it to be like ‘just Take a look, duh’ Negatives: - lifts broken and no one bothering to look at it - no mirrors in the room, only bathroom - coffee pod machine broken and would leak and only had 1 dairy free creamer powder for the week and had rang for more which never came - cleaners never replaced it - plugs at the desk didn’t work - original shower head didn’t work and the replaced one flopped and wouldn’t stay up so had to crouch to wash - wasn’t allowed to use the mini fridge for our own drinks etc - asked for a quiet room but was put right next to the lifts and the walls are paper thin - heard every elevator noise, conversation, cleaners trolley, noisy neighbour at all hours - only bed side table at one side - the place where you put your suitcase was right under the tv so blocked the view - tv had bad signal and would conk out when moved - no ironing board just the iron - check out staff also rude And by far the worst negative of the whole stay… they want £14.85 a DAY for WiFi!!!!!!!!! Free In the lobby but want it in your room? Not like I had already paid 2k for a week stay you want wifi money too?? We came from the uk and had no data so struggled to get around and plan Positives; - good location to grand central - the doormen / bag concierge were lovely and can order you a taxi back to jfk - nice room views - bed comfy and clean - clean towels always changed - cute dog that was with security - pretty lobby area Over all, for a Hilton, they really don’t care for the tourist guests - want as much money out of you as they can and don’t make things easy or welcoming…
Business trip, with approximately 10 rooms booked. My colleague and I arrived around 11 pm, with ten large cases. Imagine my surprise when the front desk clerk refused to give us luggage carts, saying they "were all locked up", and when asked a second time, "we don't provide that service". And upon checkout we pretty much had to just take one from the front counter after asking and being told, "i didn't see anything" by the day time front desk person. I would really expect more from a property such as this. Very disappointed.
We’ve stayed at the Millennium Hilton multiple times and every stay is so lovely. The staff is so friendly and helpful - really great service. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious, and the views of the city and water are absolutely stunning!! We stayed in a suite this time around and it was huge! The coffee shop on the main floor makes legitimately good lattes and the food was really fresh and delicious. Really amazing mixed fruit cups with huge berries. The hotel is clearly well-managed and updated. Honestly, we can’t wait to go back.
