PROS: Location - right by One WTC and close to a lot of great restaurants, coffee shops and activities. In-room - Bed was comfortable, but I noticed it would move around as I tossed & turned. Flow of the room was not ideal, and if you have large luggage, it could make things quite cramped. Shower was nice, and never had a problem with hot water or water pressure. Other: While I didn't use it, I noticed there was coffee available in the hotel lobby. Additionally, each floor had empty reusable water bottles and cold filtered water stations available. CONS: Service - Check-in was bumpy at best. Lots of people in a cramped, narrow lobby, with two staff members. The process was: Check in with the staff, then move over to a kiosk (only two were up and running) to complete the process. When finished, you receive key cards, but have to return back to the staff member to figure out what room number you have. Doesn't seem to make sense. Additionally, I found someone else's sock in my room, and a few different areas where housekeeping lacked. When I brought this up to the front desk and told them I was leaving to go to another hotel, the response was just "Okay, you're all set." Elevators: There are four elevators being used in the hotel that take you to guest rooms, but at any given time, only three were up and running. I found myself waiting for a few minutes at a time whenever I needed to use the lift. Wi-fi: I never was able to get consistent wireless that could handle anything more than basic web pages. I was attempting to work from the hotel but couldn't ever connect to a zoom call with a consistent connection. It was free, but I reverted to using mobile data instead because it was not reliable. Other: So much about the hotel just feels slightly off. The strange check-in process, the lack of any kind of customer service, funky layouts.…
Nice bed, overwhelmed staff. Chaotic check in with long lines. . Rooms not ready until after 3pm. Good location World Trade Center. Climate control not working. Bedside outlets not working. They did nothing to address problems. Would not recommend.
I love the room and the stay was as I hope but I had a big big big problem with the bill. The hotel, which I payed mostly cashed, charged me without any sense an amount of 362 uSa in order of no show with the malicious intention of dating it the next day of my real check in. So take care of that and take it into account. It s a pity this attempt of stealing money from their guest with no need. I could be a 5 but for this it s a big hugh zeroooooo
It’s been awhile since I’ve been to NYC due to Covid restriction. First time staying at this hotel. I must say was very pleased . My room was on 19th floor. It was ok size for NYC. Hotel was close to subways and several places to eat. I would definitely stay again. No daily housekeeping but if you needed anything just ring front desk. Oh and I arrived on my birthday and they gave me a nice gift of spa nuts & chocolate. So sweet
I had an impromptu New York City trip when my flights got cancelled and I couldn’t get back home for 3 days. Booking was easy and a great price! I arrived around 9pm and there were two Front Desk Agents on. Check in was fast and friendly. The room was a great size for the price and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud! It wasn’t even that noisy, especially being right in the middle of the Financial area of New York. Room was clean and had a “safety sticker” on the door when I went in, indicating it had been cleaned and sealed. Room has a microwave and fridge. Plenty of room with a Full/Queen size bed and desk. Very nice little bathroom. You could hear noises from outside your room but again…it’s New York right! Lol The location makes this place worth every penny! You’re literally a stones throw from Ground Zero and the Financial area. It’s just a few minutes walk to Wall Street and all Lower Manhattan has to offer. It’s also close to the Oculus, which is the transportation hub of the area. You can hit almost every single line from oculus (the white spiny building across from Ground Zero). There’s a full mall in there and almost every subway line you can think of. I was able to get back to JFK AND up to Times Square and Central Park from this one hub! Check out was a bit confusing. I had an early morning flight and had to check out around 4:30am. There was no one at the front desk except for a security guard/door man watching the front door. The security guard/door man was friendly and directed me to the kiosk to check out. The kiosk check out process worked and I get my receipt emailed to me. The end price was exactly what I was quoted online.…
Location is excellent, big windows in our room with great views, shopping malls and many good restaurants in walking distance, easy metro to other parts in Manhattan… all this makes this hotel perfect choice. We stayed for 5 nights. We loved quieter area, Eataly restaurant right opposite building, easy walking to Brooklyn bridge, Battery park, Wall Street.. We already booked this hotel again for our June trip.
We booked a room with a view and a terrace for May 21, 2022. The lobby was oddly cramped, and the building labeled as Club Quarters Hotel rather than World Center Hotel. Nonetheless, the Club Quarters staff had my World Center Hotel reservation, and gestured to a computer in the lobby for self check-in. When we arrived to our room, we found that the room was not as represented in the reservation. There was no view, and the room was musty, the carpets peeling up, the sheets damp. We'd paid over $500 a night, so we had to have a talk with the front desk. Christos assured us that a refund was no problem. Disgusted with the room at World Center Hotel, we were pleased to walk out of there with a refund promised. We booked with the Washington a block away and got the beautiful view we came to NY for. The folks at Washington took a while to get our Booking reservation sorted, but they were nice, and the lobby was striking, clean, and spacious, unlike the dirty, bus station-vibe we got from the World Center Hotel. We're back from our trip now and World Center Hotel is fighting us on the refund. Bad form. Just enough abuse to motivate a review.…
Nice hotel in a very good location. Location is really good, right beside of 9/11 memorial and WTC. Lots of shops and restaurants near. Also lots of attractions near. Room was very clean and quiet. I had a balcony room and it was really nice with direct view to 9/11 pool (Superior Room, Terrace, View). Good wifi in the room. Good coffee with Keurig machine. Small fridge and microwave were really nice. Complimentary coffee in the lobby and water machines with refillable bottles in every floor. Comfortable bed and good pillows for me. And extra plus for proper, thick duvet/quilt. Negative comes from the limited housekeeping that ment that there was no housekeeping at all. You get more coffee, shampoo, toilet paper etc. by asking but it is really annoying to have to ask things every day. Specially when most of the times there is a line of people for the reception. You get your trash taken away by leaving them outside your room and but again you have to aske them to be taken away. One more negative comes from the elevators. They are sitting in the floors, a lot, while lots of people are waiting for them. Big plus for free laundry facilities. You have to book laundry and get the key from reception but use of washer and dryer is free and you get detergent also. Hotel has also two roof top terraces where to enjoy lovely views to pools and the city. Price-quality ratio is really good and location superb. In general, very nice hotel and would certainly come again.…
We had superior queen room with a terrace and impressive view of 9/11 memorial and One World Trade Center. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. There was a free coffee machine in a lobby. Location is great for walks, not busy and crazy like Times Square. We had lovely stay.
We travel on business internationally and are VIP Members of a number of airlines and hotel chains. From the moment we checked in a week ago everything was great. Christous and Arnold at check in, professional, friendly and efficient. We paid extra for the larger rooms (its worth the extra) the staff again so friendly and genuinely interested in the guests in particular Shauna (room cleaner), Neil their Sales Manager was also professional and engaging. Good gym too. Congratulations to the Management for their well trained systems and clearly a good positive moral from the staff. Location Perfect
