The hotel is in a prime location. You can walk to Times Square in just 20 minutes. There are two underground stations just 5-7 minutes away.
As for the room, it was small. The bed was 135 cm. The bathroom was fine. However, the hot water in the shower takes a long time to come out (about 15 minutes). You have to be patient. The soundproofing also needs to be improved; you can hear the noise from the street. The insulation of the room also needs to be improved. The cold is coming through the door. If you only want a place to sleep in New York, this is the place for you. For other uses, look for another hotel.
As for the staff, Lily looked after us very well. She knew how to take care of us at all times as any customer deserves. She deserves a raise for everything she does in the establishment.
The hotel is highly recommended if you want to save money on hotel accommodation during your stay in New York.

The space is cozy and it is nice to have a mini fridge and microwave. One thing I found difficult was there were a lot of noises that stopped and started within the room- the a/c unit and heater was close to the bed and would stop and start every few minutes as well as a pipe noise in the bathroom that would begin and start again. The bed is comfy and overall I felt comfortable here as a solo female traveler. I ended up just putting some white noise on my phone and that really helped. The hot water was out for about 12 hrs at one point which was the only downside about my stay. I love the location and convenience and price though and it really has everything you need

The room was small but perfect for us. It was central to everything we had planned and we were walking distance to subway stops. It was quiet the whole time we were here so no noise disturbances. Except for the outside New York life lol. Definitely plan on staying here again next time we come.

I booked this property through ANOTHER site with free cancellation until October, my card was charged over $AUD 4,000, I canceled the booking 2 months ago ( January 2024 ) and they kept saying they processed my refund, its been over a month!!! ( I'm still waiting!!!! they are quick to take your money but when it comes to refund, God knows when they will return my funds!!!

Our room was given away, while we were out....
My husband and I had booked a room at the 27th Hotel for Saturday, December 16, 2023. We arrived early checked in with reception and left our luggage. Later that evening we returned and went to the reception to finish the check-in process. We were offered a choice of rooms, initially but then it became apparent that something was wrong. The receptionist told us that there were no rooms available. We were flabbergasted since we had booked and paid for the room weeks ago and we had been there earlier that day and Wilson at reception had pulled up our booking and confirmed it.
When we returned that night the new receptionist told us that our room was given away to another guest. Upon learning the situation, the manager, Wilson, was also upset that our room had been given away and he told the receptionist that our room needed to be given back to us. The receptionist and another worker were not able to secure our room for us, but they allowed us to stay in another room that had not been cleaned and it was not "guest ready" but we took it because we had no place else to stay. We were told that we should receive a full refund given that the services we paid for in advance were not rendered.
The room was not cleaned (and it was apparent) and it did not have bedding, but some sheets were brought up that we put on the bed ourselves. While we were relieved that at least some solution was found given the situation, it was not a real hotel room or what we paid for.
No refund has been provided to this date 6/18/24

I canceled my reservation on January 4 and still have not received my refund it's been 3 months. The cancelation was done 6 months before the check-in date. Even though prepayment was not required, the full amount was charged to my account!!!

Note the Hotel takes the FULL booking amount at the time of booking while offering free cancellation policy up to a few days before the start of your booking. Sadly, I had to cancel my reservation on April 9, 2024. Unfortunately, I have since encountered significant challenges with obtaining a refund from the hotel and am still waiting.
Despite many attempts to reach out via email, I received no response or acknowledgment from the hotel team. When I contacted the booking company, I was informed that the hotel indicated a 15-working-day processing time for refunds. The rooms are nothing like the photos.. Basic, cold and dirty. We arrived and couldn't check in. We returned a few hours later and headed to our room. The website advertises tea & coffee facilities, a safe, TV, desk etc, there was none of this. We had a kitchenette with an out of use sign in the sink, no wardrobe, no kettle, and a bathroom where ther toilet constantly flushed by itself. We had to store our clothes in the drawers and kitchen cupboars. There was an aircon unit in the window, the unit was so noisy when on for the heat. We went down to reception to complain, to be told that the website is wrong as they don't offer any of the facilities advertised. They promised a 20% refund to which we have never received.

Thanks but the new York newspapers says they do house the homeless. It would be helpful if the management answered the question.
I am not a hotel worker, but as far as I know, they do not provide shuttle. I have asked when I´d stay there.
