This hotel is in a prime location in lower Manhattan FiDi. We only stayed 1 night and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We were able to keep our luggage at the hotel after we checked out, until we were ready to leave the city. In walking distance to so many great restaurants and attractions! Our room had a nice view of the city and the river by the ferry dock. Room and bathroom is definitely on the smaller side, but was fine. My only complaint was our room was clean, but needed a little TLC. Shower curtain was stained, sink didn’t drain, light bulbs out around the mirror, some tiles missing around the floor. Otherwise, beds were comfortable and our room was quiet! I would stay here again.
I hadn't been to New York in 22 months (which is really long for me). I decided to stay away from Midtown so picked this hotel in the financial district. The personnel was really nice and helpful. I had few needs and did not require the room clean but they provided me with anything I requested. They were also very helpful with the subway system. Because of Hurricane Henri my flight was cancelled and they were very accommodating with giving me an extra night in the same room. I really enjoyed my stay
My husband and I had a wonderful weeklong stay here earlier this month. This was my 13th trip to NYC. The hotel was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The entire staff was friendly and kind. There were lots of good places to eat nearby, especially on the weekdays. We will stay here again if we want to be in lower Manhattan in the future.
This was the first stop of a 14 day East Coast trip for my family (parents, 2 boys 13 and 9). We stayed there five nights. The location was great! Close to three different subway stations and a short walk to Battery Park for the Statue of Liberty tour. My older son especially liked being able to walk to Starbucks every morning in the Staten Island ferry station. We got to our hotel around 7pm after a long flight and subway trip to the hotel from JFK. Check in was a breeze, but they charged me double for one of my rooms. Good thing I noticed while I was there. Our adjoining rooms were on the 18th floor with a nice view of the water. We didn’t take advantage of anything else the hotel had except to grab some cookies from the convenience store and charge it to our room. The rooms were nice and we had housekeeping everyday. Our floor was surprisingly very quiet—we never hear anyone the whole time! Water pressure was very weak and the bathroom door was a barn door that didn’t lock and had gaps where you could see in. Would definitely recommend to all kinds of travelers. And a great rate, too!…
Great stay at the Hilton Garden inn. Stayed two nights. Had a room on the 26th floor, the view was mostly of buildings. Clean and Quiet room, decent space, great location and great staff. Thanks to Ami, Martin, Michael, and the rest of the staff.
Recently, my wife and I stayed at the Garden Inn (6 Water st.) NYC. We had the top floor with the river view. Staff was extremely friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The resort is just blocks from the financial district and Battery Park. I recommend parking when you book. Parking typically runs $52.00 pr. Day - oversized expect to pay $62.00 pr. Day it is recommended to park and leave your vehicle till your visit is done. Easy transportation to tourists destinations by bus, cab, subway, Uber and citybike. We chose the bus. The room had a very good view of the river.
I would like to thank you for the great service and the perfect care during our ten-day stay in your hotel. from the first minute it was a pleasant feeling to be here. the most contact we had with the amazing Mister Marc Dacres, Mrs. Jaquana, Mr. Imram, Mr. Steven Castro, and and alI the other ones who offered such perfect wellfeeling service incl. rooms service. can only say, congratulations that you have such employees.
- Lobby, although multi-ethnicity loves whites only. - Blacks and Browns could wind up in poorly serviced rooms with malfunctioning units: leaky toilets, improperly seated toilets that rock and make noise. - Printing a document from your flash drive is a NO. The front desk suggests you email your document to their private email for printing. - Mostly inefficient staff. Seem it borders on management. Servicing issues are mostly delayed or get swept under the rug. - The restrooms are located on the 3rd floor. If you really have to go after checking in, with their slow elevators, you can be in for an accident. - Small rooms. - A sweaty laundry room. - Misleading restaurant service as listed on the website. - Nice location. Close to train stations etc. However, very low on the totem pole when it comes to other HGI's. - Overpriced and undermaintained.…
Staff is always professional and courteous. The location is perfect for access to Ferry terminal's.And there's a nice variety of really good dining close by.When I get a chance to come back for a vacation I will be staying here. Ameena, Steven and the rest of the staff always ensure a positive stay thanks.
We primarily dealt with Michael. He was by far the most courteous and helpful front desk staff member I've ever met. We had an issue with the sink in one room and a mix up on the bill, but he handled both very quickly and professionally. His restaurant recommendations were perfect, too
