The Omni Berkshire Place stands out for its elegant ambiance, with numerous guests highlighting the plush bedding and the luxurious touch of iced citrus water near the elevators. While the rooms receive accolades for their cleanliness and spaciousness, some visitors missed amenities such as coffee makers. The hotel's location earns consistent praise for its proximity to attractions and safety. Although the staff's warm and professional service is often mentioned, opinions on value are mixed, with some travelers questioning the high costs associated with breakfast and resort fees.

We had a wonderful visit at the Omni Berkshire for an extended weekend visit to Manhattan. The midtown location is great- walking distance to many of the big attractions (Broadway, Times Square, Central Park) along with easy subway access for those who wish to explore the city. The room and hotel facilities are well appointed and comfortable and the staff are friendly, helpful and professional. Our Loyalty Ambassador Jennifer was helpful before and during our stay, John and William at the door offered a warm smile and lots of local knowledge and assistance. We had a slight issue with our AC and Charles and Robert promptly corrected the issue - before we actually knew there was an issue! I can see why the hotel has so many return guests- if we find our selves in New York again we will definitely return to the Omni Berkshire!

We stayed at the Omni Berkshire Place for my Mom's 70th birthday and it was a wonderful experience. The location is the best you can get in NYC (just off 5th Ave and a short walk to so many shops, restaurants, Central Park etc.) The staff are so helpful - in particular the concierge service is exceptional! Our room was on the 32nd floor with a street view - highly recommended to add to the NYC experience! The restaurant in the hotel is lovely and the staff are very attentive but if it's too expensive, there are lots of lovely spots to eat nearby. We had breakfast in Le Pain Quotidien which is only a 2 min walk from the hotel and casual dinners in places like Bill's Bar & Burger at the Rockefeller Center (only a 3 min walk) - however for a more upmarket dinner we would recommend Tao Uptown which does amazing cocktails and food and is only an 8 min walk from the hotel. We didn't get to use the fitness facilities during this trip but it's great to have that option in the hotel. We will definitely stay at the Omni Berkshire Place the next time we're in NYC!!

I travel to NYC fairly frequently on business and always try to stay at the Omni Berkshire because it is close to my company's NYC office and I like the place! Rooms are good sized. Bathroom is clean, not too big, but very serviceable. Room is well set up. Room service menu is very good - I recommend the salmon!

My most recent trip there (December 2019) I noticed a a few things that the Omni doesn't have but other comparable hotels in the area offer: 1. there were no robes in the room (the towels are not that big!), 2. there was no shower cap, and 3. there were no snacks or minibar. Also, while all website say free WiFi, the in-room info stated there would be a charge. These things won't keep me from staying at the Omni in the future (didn't there used to be robes???), it would be nice if they were offered.

All in all, a very good experience always and I will be back!

Thank you for making Omni Berkshire Place your preferred choice whenever you travel to New York City, and we value your loyalty to our hotel. We are pleased to know our location is convenient for your needs and that you liked your spacious room! We designed our rooms with the feel of an Upper East Side residential townhome combining tradition, style, and most importantly comfort. It is also a pleasure to read that you always enjoy in-room dining and courteous service. However, we regret that our hotel lack some of the amenities you were hoping for. We are always looking for ways to improve our guests’ experience, and we will take your feedback regarding additional amenities into account. Thank you once more for your review, and we look forward to your return visit. David C. General Manager

With so many hotel choices in NYC, the Omni Berkshire is not a good place to stay. The hotel is rundown. We stayed there with our 13 year old twins. At bedtime, we pulled back the sheets on one bed and there was hair all over it. We called to have the sheets changed and it took over an hour for someone to come. There is black mold in the bathroom over the doorway. We ordered a cappucino in the morning via room service and it took over an hour for it to come. Our first day there, we ordered lunch room service. We paid $200.00 for our room-service meal (eggs, bacon, avocado toast and a club sandwich) it was way overpriced and just basically not that good.

Early morning, housekeeping bangs on all the doors to get the rooms clean so don't think about sleeping in!

We chose this hotel because we loved our experience at the Omni in Los Angeles. That is a wonderful hotel. The Omni Berkshire in NYC is nowhere on the same standard. So, be careful if your decision to choose this hotel is based on a good experience from another Omni.

We would never stay here again and would not recommend it.

It is hard to choose the right hotel in NYC that you will feel comfortable in without missing anything that you can have gotten in a different hotel for the same or lower price. This is why my review is very honest as I am hoping to help other people deciding if this hotel is good enough for their needs. Why? Bc this hotel might be OK for an American citizen coming for a 1-2 days business but not OK for turists or a couple. Well I was quite disappointment rather than satisfied. This hotel provided a bed, roof over my head, shower, toiletaries INCLUDING quetips/swab and towels. What I was very disappointed in was that the room had NO complimentary water nor tea nor coffee like the rest of the worlds hotels has. Even 2 star hotel have such needs so this is why I will give this hotel 3 stars. I called the receptionist and I asked for tea and they brought to my room 1 teabag, 1 lemon slice, a spoon of honey and a bill charged 7 USD for this tea. I had no option but to pay and was hoping it would be a magical tea but it wasn’t. It was not possible to open any window so I would leave the AC on around 75 F/24 C. Every night my throat would get so dry and I was missing drinking water hence why I ordered the tea. Very annoying that I had to deal with that for the 5 days I was staying! Breakfast was really expensive too so it would pay better off to get ubereat or find some other place. I had 1 XL bathrobe for 2 people staying in my room. When I asked for a size small I was told they had only one size so I guess it is made for an average american size. Hotel is great walking distance to most things but I found out it would be better to stay in East Village as most nice events were happening there. Cleaning lady was very pleasant! I did not see why they had hired 2 men to stand by the entrance 24/7 but wouldn’t open the 2 heavy doors you had to pass to enter/leave even for a lady like me. In general the staff was great and very friendly!

On arrival the doormen were there to greet us but the hotel front has scaffolding so not too impressive (as does 50% of New York it seems)
As you enter the lobby it is much smaller than imagined, only sitting space for about 12.
The receptionist asked our name and then said he needed to check room was available, which seemed odd as it was 6pm. He came back after a few minutes and said all good.... door keys were printed and we are told we had room 301. Looking back we got no information about the hotel, what was on our doorstep or anything useful. This may be because the concierge is round the corner but they just smile and have print outs on the desk.
We were also not informed of what the resort fee goes towards, in fact the full 5 nights at $34 a night was taken from our card on check in!
One bonus is that we linked our Omni rewards card and got given 1card per night that allow 2 morning drinks per room. We got coffee each day and there was enough in the 2 pots for all 4 of us in the room (2a and 2 teenagers).
The room was nice and quiet away from street noise (except sirens) but with no city view, which we knew. The beds were fairly small but the bathroom was a decent size. Teenage boys sharing a bed was a challenge but just enough room to put a pillow down the centre of the bed.
There seemed to be a cold draught from the window but the room itself was warm enough, air con heated the room fairly quickly. We didn’t hear any other guests from above or side (2nd floor was conference facilities so no noise from there at night).
Location was good, away from the madness of Times Sq and near to Rockefeller’s and 10 minute walk to Central Park, however nearest subway to get to financial district was either 59th street or Grand Central (unless we missed something). We went to the Vessel and Chinatown and both were a long walk away, save your legs and get a subway.
Check out was 12pm and no issues storing the bag until pickup.
All in all they just didn’t make us feel special..... not enough to complain about but we expected more, given what we have experienced at other hotels around the world.

I’m
A repeat guest because this location just can’t be beat for visitors. So close to both Rockefeller and the park. I’m glad there’s Isadoras across the street for inexpensive meals and snacks, but also if you are an Omni select guest member they will deliver complimentary coffee in the morning.
This trip included my teen daughter who was celebrating a birthday and the hotel went above and beyond (thank you Krystle!) to leave her special treats and make it a great trip for her.
The beds were clean and comfortable and the Nest bath products were nice.
We were also grateful for the smooth express checkout and the clean, friendly airport transfer. The doormen were kind and helped with cabs and directions. Will definitely return!!

I did a one night stay at the Omni Berkshire in December, it was a good location for both business and holiday site seeing. I was underwhelmed by the rooms, low ceilings and bad lighting left a bad impression. Front desk staff was super friendly and helpful when I was checking in very late in the evening, so I really enjoyed the service level.

Myself and my partner stayed here for four nights and although the hotel room was very spacious and had all the essential amenities the lack of tea and coffee making facilities in the room did disappoint me as I am a caffeine fiend and need a cup of coffee first thing in the morning to get me going. Luckily there was a cafe right opposite the hotel so we were able to grab one there but it would of been so much nicer having one in the room even a kettle on its own would of sufficed as we could of grabbed some coffee and milk ourselves. The room was lovely but we were right next to the ice machine so we had a bit of traffic now and again but nothing major; the hotel itself was very elegant looking and was in a good location but one gentleman at the desk was very unhelpful and abrupt with my partner so that wasn't a pleasant experience as he put us off returning in the future.

We stay only at the Omni Berkshire in NYC. The service is great, the rooms are beautiful. We had the Author suite this past weekend for four nights, wow...amazing room! Concierge was able to get us a car service (luxury SUV) back to the airport the same price a cab would have been - how can you argue with that! Bob's is great for late night drinks and appetizers too!
