Detailed Reviews
We stayed for one night while in town to see a show. The hotel is small and dated but the staff was very nice! The bed was comfortable! That's really all we cared about as we knew we weren't spending any time in the hotel. It is one block from Times Square and a quick walk to Rockefeller Center and the Theater District. There are nice restaurants and shopping all around. The furnishings (carpet and desk etc) that look like they are 30 years old definitely need to be updated. Breakfast was included and was adequate (hard boiled eggs, waffle maker, cereal, juice, coffee/tea, fruit, yogurt). They validated parking at a local garage so that was reduced from $67/night to $27. While there was a window, our room on the 2nd floor was isolated from noise and lights of Times Square. It certainly wasn't fancy but for what we wanted, it was perfect.

We’ve just stayed at the NYCASA 46 and although in a really good location near Times Square, the hotel itself needs updating. The bed was comfortable and the room clean but it was tired.
I was so disappointed that breakfast, which was rather lacklustre, was offered with only plastic cups, plates and cutlery!! This is surely a backward step in the current eco climate. We were also annoyed that we had to pay facility charges for WiFi, radio and coffee maker. There wasn’t an option so why don’t they just put the cost onto the price of the room?

First time in NYC for me.
Our room was comfortable and bathroom was nicer than expected. Best hotel shower I've had. Great pressure, shower head with flow options, and water was hot! And the shower head was high on the wall, so no ducking. Staff were always friendly and helpful. The cold water machine in the gym was a nice bonus. The location was perfect - 1/2 block to Times Square but the road itself was very quiet. You are within just a few blocks of multiple subway lines. We were on floor 6 and did not experience any of the loud city noise that everyone warned us about (garbage trucks, sirens, traffic etc)
Cons - I can't imagine that this bed was actually queen sized as advertised. Maybe a full? I stayed with my 11 year old son and it was a tight fit. But it was very comfortable. Carpet had a lot of stains and spots, and while I wasn't expecting a fantastic view, I had no idea that our view was quite literally a brick wall. The sound from the shower running in the room next door was overwhelmingly loud. The pipes were obviously right in our wall. It woke me up from a deep sleep multiple times. (We usually were late to bed and late to rise and our neighbors took showers very very early). I would suggest if you are particular about your toiletries to bring your own. There is complementary hand soap and lotion in wall dispensers by the sink, and shampoo and shower gel in wall dispensers in the shower. It was fine for us but quite thin and if you are picky about it you'll want something nicer.

This location is really good, right in times square. Hopefully no one has the same problems I did, it was just bad timing and a bad room. On the first night a hotel staff came up to our room asking if we had just showered, and we had, he said the room below us was leaking. A couple hours later of the staff not showing back up, I went to the front desk and asked if I could take a shower because of the leak, they said we could but that the leak was essentially our fault, that we had overflown the bathtub and got water all over the floor, we had not done that, there was almost no water on the floor. I told him that was not the case and he proceeded to argue with me telling me I was wrong and there HAD to be water ALL over the floor. I told him that I just wanted to shower and if it did leak again, I don't want to have to pay for damages or anything. He said "well i don't know what to tell you about that". At the check in I was told I was paying a $90 security deposit, and I have not gotten that back. I left my room in good condition so I don't know why I haven't gotten that. Apart from my bad experience, the other staff was friendly, and the place was pretty clean, you get what you pay for, the rooms are very small.

The Hotel 46 Times Square was a pleasant surprise! Being so close to Times Square, an affordable price compared to others in the area, cheaper parking than other locations, and having read some mixed reviews - we didn’t have high expectations, but were just glad to be staying so close to Times Square. Hotel 46 Times Square was more than we had expected and a great stay for our time in NYC. The parking garage is a short walk across the street, the entire place
was very clean, hand sanitizer at touch places and staff were very friendly. The Deluxe sized room was a good size too - not huge, but comfortable. The bed was also very comfortable, with a big cozy duvet. The breakfast was small and limited, but gives a quick bite to start the day.
You can’t beat the location either, just a few minutes walk and you’re right in the heart of Times Square!

This is a smaller hotel located right off of Times Square, the location is fantastic. Small lobby and rooms are normal small NYC size, but not so small where we felt claustrophobic. The bed, bedding and pillows were very comfortable. Overall the room was very clean but we did find a few spots with a thick layer of dust (like the room telephone). Shower and bathroom were clean and water pressure was good. Elevators were quick and no issues with waiting as I saw in reviews for many other hotels. Woman who checked us in was very nice! Wish I got her name. The only thing to be aware of is the noise level. We stayed three nights and on the first night the people on our level were coming and going constantly and you hear the doors around you close very loudly. If someone is talking outside your room it’s so loud it feels like they are in your actual room. It woke me up many times the first night. It wasn’t a problem the following two nights so this could be hit or miss with who is staying near you. I didn’t hear people in their rooms just the hallway. I only heard outside construction noise loudly one morning, otherwise outside noise wasn’t an issue. They use a parking garage very close by that charges $40 a day which is a good deal in NY. We would stay here again.

Hotel is ok and being remodeled, hence is noisy and dusty. Rooms are small dated but clean. Breakfast is horrible, no even eggs. Staff is cordial. Excellent location. Careful when booking a king room, they have very few and most of them are actually double rooms with queen beds.

We were at the hotel in November 2019. We had already stayed there several times. We liked the excellent location of the hotel, as well as the good treatment by the staff, all very friendly and attentive. However, the last time, we noticed the presence, among the employees, of a tall, thin man who wore a turban. He seemed to be a type of manager.
Such an individual never spoke to us, and he seemed to try to avoid any contact with us, as he always left the room when we approached. Such a situation was very uncomfortable. The breakfast, which according to the hotel, is a courtesy, has dropped in quality. The hotel, in addition to its name, also needs to change its furniture, which is very old and old-fashioned (the ironing board was broken ). Finally, I would like to express our thanks to all the receptionists, porters, maids and butlers, who are the best in the hotel.

I stayed at NYCASA 46 from March 10-14,2020. I was told booking the hotel was a big mistake. However, my experience contradicted that advice; the stay was great! Clean room, friendly and accommodating staff, and an excellent location. I would definitely stay there again. That’s the Pro’s. The Con’s? The hotel charged me above and beyond my $160.68 “Resort Fee” an additional $71.00. Here is the crazy part. That charge appeared AFTER I checked out! I called to complain. The only rather unpleasant person on their staff (because he insisted on rudely interrupting me) said, “Oh give it 24 hours and it will fall off your account. We do that all the time.” My problem? That you do it all the time doesn’t make it right. The person said it was for incidentals. What incidentals are there after I’ve checked out? In my opinion they do this to ride the customer’s money for a few days. The hotel was great but there are no incidentals. They have no room service, no amenities (In fact their vending machine had only two choices: Coke and waters and you have to pay at the machine. In conclusion, it was a very pleasant stay. I would stay there again, but to charge an additional $71 dollars on top of the city wide ripoff practice of charging “resort fees” that supposedly are to cover those services was the one thing that tainted the experience.

Hello, Clifford. When making a reservation, the site mentions a resort or facility fees to be paid directly to the hotel. Also, there will be a security deposit which will be refundable upon guest departure. The agent was referring the security deposit as Incidentals. This amount is authorized but not charged and the bank will release it in 3 to 5 business days. Please give the bank a few days to post actual charges and remove all pending amounts. You can always contact the hotel directly if you feel you are overcharged. Thank you

My husband and I stayed here for an extended weekend. The location was perfect for us. It was within reasonable walking distance of a lot of cool spots and a few subway stations. It made getting around a breeze. The rooms are a little lived in, but they’re comfortable. The heater/ac unit worked in both rooms (we transferred to a different room in the morning because the first was right on the street. super loud come morning, but the staff was very accommodating and switched us over right away without any issue). Hot water, decent beds, clean sheets. A good home base to store your belongings, circle back to throughout the day, and rest your head at night. Everyone was super friendly, and we didn’t run into any issues in the area. Elevator was a little weird, but I know he was doing his best! Would definitely considering staying here again in the near future.
