My husband and I enjoyed a terrific long weekend at XV Beacon. We felt well cared for and pampered by the staff but also appreciated their friendliness and lack of pretentiousness. We used the car service many times during our stay with Mark and Gazi. Yes, it's an expensive hotel - it was an anniversary treat for us - but you won't find the attention to detail or service at a large chain like you will at XV Beacon. A terrific location, so comfortable and top notch service - treat yourself!
This is relatively small but well located hotel near Boston common. We had a large sunny room on the 10th (top) floor with a view of the common. Extremely well appointed with nice touches like vitamin C sachets in the room and quality bathroom shower gel etc. Also a fireplace for the winter. Rooftop terrace was a sun trap. We had dinner in Mooo which was great. Breakfast was excellent - well looked after by the smiling Paulo each day! Would definitely return to both the hotel and restaurant.
My wife and I had a wonderful experience. For us, XV Beacon was just the ticket. We came from Cape Cod, where our accommodations had been more basic (On purpose). Everything was perfect, from a wonderful check in staff to a lovely, quiet room with a number of well-appreciated amenities, from a free shoe shine to a lovely and sophisticated tv/av. The room was well-appointed and very quiet. Also to note, we used the house car, and it was extremely convenient. Last but not least, the hotel bar has superb wines by the glass. I liked the old world charm and location. If you want classic luxury, XV Beacon is an excellent candidate.
XV does not quite deserve to be a top hotel in Boston… Especially with its high price point. XV Beacon is a pretty lovely small hotel with Some friendly service. But it is not a Five-star standard compared to other luxury Boston hotels. The room is ok with no view due to its height, and the housekeeping is fantastic. House car is very convenient with discreet service. The hotel restaurant, Mooo... It has excellent food as well. We typically do not expect benefits from the hotels; however, if a hotel like XV claim to be top and charges a premium price, then we have some basic expectations. We spoke with the hotel where we would be celebrating a graduation, and they said they would make something special to make a stay memorable, but they provided nothing during the stay. XV does not deliver benefits for iPrefer elite. We were told by the iPrefer program that our rate is eligible to get the full benefit as we booked direct. The hotel is far from complete during our stay. The front desk said XV does not deliver benefits like dining credit, welcome amenities, or upgrades. A slight room upgrade was provided after the iPrefer program spoke with the hotel, but nothing else was provided. XV is a legend collection of preferred rewards, but they do not follow their rules. XV may be a nice place to stay overnight or for business travel, but we would not recommend it for leisure stays or special occasions. At the same price, the other five-star hotels in the area may be a much better value.…
Great Botique hotel in the heart of Boston. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are modern and comfortable and immaculate. Valet parking a bit pricy at $60/day and Moo restaurant attached and owned by hotel had great quality food for breakfast although also very pricy.
My daughter and I took our first trip to Boston and had the pleasure of spending our last two days at this incredible hotel. We spent our first two days into Mandarin Oriental in Back Bay. Although that is a nice hotel, I did not have any of the character of XV Beacon And was considerably more expensive. Not only is the Beacon’s location on Beacon Hill a much more traditional Boston experience, but we felt at the hotel itself was a much classier and comfortable location. First, Beacon Hill is completely nationally Boston. The bacteria where the Mandarin Oriental is located is quite nice, but you could be in any other city in the country and it would look the same. By contrast, XV Beacon felt like we were staying in Boston 100 years ago but with all of the modern luxury you would want today. Staff from Dean drivers to the front desk wonderful and the room was absolutely gorgeous. The combination of traditional style and modern amenities is impossible to beat. I cannot recommend with any greater enthusiasm.…
I recently was in Boston for business and was told by a friend who lives in Boston to try XV Beacon! Wow! What a gem of a property. The staff were all so friendly and it feels as though you are stepping into a house with the small lobby with a fireplace and each room having a doorbell. And the elevators are really cool as they are old school! The hotel also has a really cool rooftop deck with fantastic views of the Back Bay and Cambridge. And the restaurant that is connected to the hotel, Mooo, serves fantastic food and has an expansive wine list. Centrally located so you can drop down into the Back Bay or to the waterfront in 10 minutes by foot. I would highly recommend XV Beacon the next time you are visiting Boston!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this elegant, incredibly charming hotel this past week. The hotel is perfectly situated for visits to the Boston Common and Fanuiel Hall, and travel on the T (metro rail). The hotel itself is lovely, and our room was beautifully appointed and a genuine pleasure to wake up in and return to. The service at the hotel was outstanding at every turn. We highly recommend the Beacon XV to anyone looking for exceptional accommodations in the Boston area.
My husband and I were in town for one night in early April. The Beacon Hill Studio provided plenty of room, and we loved the fireplace. We did a bit of sightseeing and everything is very close. The Lexus car service is such a nice feature and was an excellent end to our stay (we were dropped at the train station).
Brilliant stay, superb location, friendly staff, overall thoroughly enjoyable experience. Fire place was a nice extra, late checkout which was a nice touch. Felt very welcome and would definitely stay here again and recommended. Nice boutique property
