We stayed here for three nights last week. A mixed bag, but more positive than negative. On the POSITIVE side: Great location, an easy walk to many things, including the T (subway). Staff who were mostly friendly and helpful. A distinctive, historic property whose windows actually open for fresh air. Rooms that are more spacious than most. Reliable internet and smart-TV functions. AC that works well. A room safe that is easy to use. On the NEGATIVE side: The hotel provides maid service only on request -- which would be fine except guests are not informed of this in advance. When we returned from being out all day and found the room just as we left it (wet towels sitting on the floor, bed unmade, etc), I phoned the front desk and was told rudely that "everyone should know you have to ask for cleaning." Ummm, seriously? Second, the bathroom is an absolutely treacherous design, an accident waiting to happen. The curtain in the shower stall stops about 6" above the floor, meaning it's difficult to avoid making the floor slippery, and the shower itself provides no protection at all should anyone slip -- no bar, nothing to grab onto, completely unsafe. Lastly, I've traveled all over the world and have rarely seen a room that has the advantage of so much space but uses it so poorly. The entry to the room is large -- but, with no lighting at all, it's impossible to use the space -- even putting the luggage rack there is pointless because it's too dark to see inside the suitcase. That long, empty wall is completely wasted -- why not put the full length mirror on it instead of on the back of the bathroom door -- I mean, who wants to get nicely dressed and then step into the steamy bathroom and have to close the door for a look (and risk slipping in the process)? That wall could also have hooks -- this is is Boston, where many travelers have heavy coats. Terrible use of space.…
Excellent, well kept hotel. Great value for the cost and very convenient location, especially if taking the Train. Easy access to the “T” a block away. Excellent staff, especially Harry at the Front Desk. Overall outstanding stay. We’d stay here again!
The hotel was perfectly located and I would definitely stay here again if I were in Boston. Special mention to Jessie who was very pleasant and helpful. She was very attentive to our needs and tried her best to accommodate us.
We took our 16-year olds on a Sweet 16 Birthday trip to Boston. First and foremost, Boston was the perfect destination for such...lots to do and all in close proximity. The Courtyard Marriott was perfectly situated in the heart of the Back Bay neighborhood. We were graciously upgraded to a suite. The room was perfect for four of us, plenty of space, exceptionally clean and comfortable. The front desk staff were the highlight of our trip...Harry and Jessie went out of their way to make sure our stay and overall trip was memorable! We highly recommend this property!
This hotel’s location is great. It is close to Boston public library, newbury street, prudential center, coplay plaza, etc. We even walked to Chinatown for dinner. Hotel is clean and surprisingly big enough for family of 4. It was clean and staff are friendly. We will definitely stay this hotel again when we have another chance to visit Boston.
We stayed at the Marriott Courtyard Copley for a couples weekend. It was Marathon Weekend and we went to a Bruins game. Harry and John are the best! They really care about the guests, and go above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful stay. The hotel is located in the heart of Back Bay in a historic building. It has a boutique feeling, and is steps away from the best shopping and restaurants. Rooms are clean and well appointed. We will definitely be back again.
Just ran my 10th Boston Marathon April 18, 2022 and was thrilled to find this gem of a hotel nestled in the Copley Place/Prudential Center area of Boston a hop, skip and a jump from the Boston Marathon finish line. Hotel is modern and clean with an amazingly professional and kind front desk staff. No attitudes anywhere here. Kimi saved my life as the new Apple iPhone update invalidated my cell phone charger and she allowed me to borrow her charger for my entire stay God bless her! She also has such a kind, welcoming smile and perfect personality for front desk staff. Jessie was delightful at check-in providing me with a huge bag of marathon treats on the house which made my stay even more amazing. Such a welcome surprise! Welcome marathon glass in my room which I was able to take home free of charge. Beautiful keepsake! Lovely historic stained-glass window in front lobby. Quaint and cozy lobby. Glass water dispenser with fresh fruit in front lobby. Delicious water! Clean. No dirt anywhere. Parking is right across the street at Prudential Center with easy access to Star Supermarket for out of town travelers. Bar and food available in lobby also. Rooms are delightful, new carpet with no stains, plenty of room for stretching pre and post run; comfortable, cozy beds; guest-controlled room temps. Can order out food from your room from Joe's, a local tasty restaurant. Boston Marathon after party right in the lobby for marathoners with free Sam Adams 26.2 beer! Hotel manager Todd Lincoln was a true gem making certain that my Prudential Center validated parking was taken care of when I had misplaced my credit card in my post marathon fog. I was with this hotel staff for 48 hrs and it felt like I was home with family. They were all so nice and cheery! I am truly grateful to the Courtyard by Marriott Boston Copley Square for making my 10th Boston Marathon so special. Hotel is one block from finish line. Easy to get to post run. Ice bath was easy post marathon! Plenty of ice available at this lovely hotel! Cannot wait to return next year. Thank you Courtyard by Marriott for making this marathon runner feel like an elite runner! A friend staying at the neighboring Copley Plaza did not have their room until around 9PM the night before the marathon. So, be careful where you book. Marriott has always been the most reliable hotel for me.…
KIMI at the reservation call and Supervisor of the front desk ensured that my families needs were well attended and cared for. Location is ideal for walking through Boston’s landmarks. Room very comfortable and clean. Thanks
I stayed a few nights and was very happy with the location of the hotel and the cleanliness of it. When we arrived I noticed the refrigerator in the room was not operating property, notified the front desk and instantly had a new refrigerator brought to my room. All of the staff was very kind and professional, I would highly recommend this place to stay.
The hotel is clean, beautiful and perfectly located for a great time in Boston. It is walkable to the best parts of the city. Todd Lincoln and his staff are outstanding!! They were helpful, accommodating and made our time there memorable!! We will be back!!
