Feels like a wannabe Ace. Rooms are small and furniture is folding and decor feels like it wants desperately to be cool. The music selection and location were good. The service was horrific outside of valet and food service (which is an over priced snack bar— skip it). I wouldn’t recommend. Management incompetently handled an incident and then tripled down. Your money is better spent elsewhere.
I picked the Moxy for the location and the price. It came us as the most reasonable price in the location (theater district) that I was looking for. I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is in an excellent location. Walking distance from Emerson College, theaters and Boston Common. The hotel is adorable! It is decorated so cool and modern. I read a lot of reviews about the noise level but didn't experience that at all. The bar/restaurant has great food for breakfast and lunch. Highly recommend the breakfast tots. Upon check in I received a voucher for $25 to use at the restaurant and a free drink. The hotel room is small but clean and again, well decorated (old vs new). Rotary phone (with options of bedtime stories on it), viewmaster view with pictures of Boston. They even give you ear plugs if needed, but I did not need. I really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely recommend to anyone. They have valet parking for $65 or you can park up the street at Tufts Medical Center for $40. …
The hotel is awesome. The rooms are great and the view of the city is breathtaking. The staff was also so helpful and friendly—everyone from the front desk staff to the bartenders were just lovely. Marcos was the absolute best in getting us everything we needed and making our stay fabulous. It’s also a content creator’s paradise with all the social friendly backgrounds and nooks to capture cute photos. The location is also so ideal for getting around the city on foot or on the T. The quick walk to south station is a bonus if you’ve traveled via bus. I may be making this my go-to hotel whenever I’m in Boston!
I was here on business and this hotel was recommended to me due to its location. Great location if you plan on going to Boston Common, the Public Gardens, and the Freedom Trail. They’re only queen size beds and the room is VERY small. There is no closet to hang your clothes, just hooks on the wall, no in room refrigerator or coffee machine. They have a bar on the 2nd floor with snacks and complimentary coffee but it was never available in the morning when I was heading to work. The staff was very nice and the room was clean. It was nice, but I would likely never stay again unless it was the only option available.
We love the Moxy Boston. It’s great vibes, food, and cocktails. The rooms have great views and everyone staying and working here is very easy going and cool. Shout out Jhonnata for being a great experience at check in! 10/10!
Staff is amazing… rooms although small were efficient and decor was on point. Would definitely recommend- will stay again. After walking to a great dinner, we came back to the bar for a nightcap… bar had an excellent vibe… staff there was great as well.
We spent two nights at Moxy Boston for a theater trip to town. It's Marriott, but definitely not your typical Marriott. Check in was easy and friendly. We were given a room on the 19th floor, per our request. Mario, at the desk, was welcoming and explained what was available at Moxy. We were given generous vouchers for free drinks and for food and drink at the bar/restaurant. It took the sting out of the "destination fee" that is slapped onto hotel stays these days. More free drink vouchers for friends coming to meet us. Our room was not huge, but it wasn't tiny, either. We had a nice view. Details in the room were well thought out and useful. No dressers or closets, but plenty of pegs to hang clothes. The bathroom was also well designed, putting everything in reach, and places to hang towels. The shelf by the sink could have been wider, but it was fine. It was very clean. The staff was responsive when I called about a problem with the handle in the shower. Someone was there to fix it within 5 minutes. A request for extra pillows made on our way out was fulfilled by the time we returned to the room. The only negative about our room was the street noise over night. Motorcycle traffic was very loud. But there were earplugs and a white noise machine at our disposal to make it a little better. We would definitely return to Moxy, maybe on the other side, just to see if it was quieter. Over all, it was a great stay and a fun experience. …
We stayed at the Moxy (Boston Downtown location) in July for a concert in town. The room had a great view, but the true pleasure was being welcomed by Alyssa at the front desk. She recommended a plethora of restaurants and sights to see right by the venue and made us feel at home. Great hospitality makes the hotel and Alyssa fit the bill.
This was the smallest hotel room we have ever stayed in, but it was fine for just the 2 of us. We had a beautiful view and could see Boston Common from our room. It was a quirky hotel and great for couples. The worst part was the destination fee which made no sense to me. The location was great, and we walked everywhere.
Must admit - I was concerned as I walked into the hotel. Not your typical hotel. The art, the decor, etc. required a second look. But I was pleasantly surprised!! The hotel was clean, room was well set up and clean, really active bar, the check in check out were breeze, and the hotel was in a great convenient location. The front desk personnel were very accommodating and knowledgeable.
