Detailed Reviews
I can't say enough thanks to Jacqueline for taking a chance on me as a tenant. Coming from out of state as a graduate fellow who needed long term accommodations with zero contacts in Los Alamos, it was a relief to find an open room at Canyon Inn. A 1-year lease turned into a 3 1/2 year stay (surprisingly with no rent increase with each renewal). My room was spacious and furnished (even had a private bathroom!), the kitchen was always fully stocked with appliances, cutlery, and there were designated cabinet and fridge spaces for personal groceries. The final selling point was the availability of a FULL size washer and dryer for tenants to use as needed. I couldn't have asked for a better launching point for relocating to a town known for over priced lodging and housing shortages. ❤️

I stayed at Canyon Inn for 9 months between 2019 and 2020. I really enjoyed getting to know the host Jacqueline and the other long and short-term tenants. We shared meals and had long discussions together. The house is very close to the grocery store and a bus stop, no car or simply a bike was needed most of the time to go around town. The kitchen is very well equipped, and was ideal for a wannabee cook like me. The Canyon Inn is a place where I made many friends and I highly recommend it.

Thank you, Marouchka! We greatly enjoyed our conversations with you about France, sharing wonderful homemade food together, and learning to make sourdough bread! We hope you keep experimenting with baking and cooking new recipes and wish you all the best in your research program in France. Please say hello when you visit the U.S. again and come to Los Alamos!

My stay at Canyon Inn was fantastic! I was here for ~2 months while working in town over the summer. The room I stayed in was spacious and had a private bathroom which was very nice. The kitchen had every appliance I needed during my stay. Jacqueline was a really great host, she was helpful with any questions I had and was very welcoming. The rate was also very reasonable given the quality of the accommodation, proximity to downtown Los Alamos, and the high demand in the area. Would love to stay again!

We only stayed for a night, but it was such a great experience. The house is very quiet, the room and bathroom were perfectly appointed, and Jacqueline could not have been a more gracious hostess. I don't know when I'll be back through Los Alamos, but I will definitely stay here when I am.

I stayed here for around 5 months for an internship at the lab. I enjoyed my time here and the area the house is located in. It was especially nice that everything was furnished and there were shared kitchen appliances and cleaning supplies available for me to use as I moved from across the country. Also, both the landlord and other tenants were friendly and helpful!

I had an absolutely amazing experience staying here. I rented a room and private bath for one year, which was perfect. Great location, very central and close to downtown and work. Shared spaces were kept very clean and tidy, no issues with sharing the kitchen with other tenants. The other tenants were also an absolute pleasure to live with; so many memories were made! We often had game nights or cooked for each other. I would definitely recommend this place to stay, either for long or short term visits!

The place is quiet, clean, and kitchen has all the utensils that one ask for. The owner is nice. It is located in very convenient place regarding bus stop, grocery, parks, and trails. We stayed for one and half month and really enjoyed. The company with other roommates was also noteworthy. I strongly recommend this place for anyone looking for short-term/long-term housing in Los Alamos.

Had a great stay at Canyon Inn managed by Jacqueline Shen and her husband. They are mindful in choosing suitable housemates to make your shared housing a smooth and cherishable experience. Would love to be back at Canyin Inn whenever I am in town next.

Great place to stay. Highly recommended! The rooms were clean and spacious, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, with easy access to local attractions and public transportation. The amenities, including the pool and fitness center, were top-notch. I particularly enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, which had a wide variety of options. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would definitely stay here again. Perfect for both business and leisure travelers!
