bed was comfortable, room was clean, and it was hip. Good coffee, and great food are just steps away and of course you are in the Haight. On Sundays there is a Farmers market 2 blocks away. This was our first stay of many. I would tell my friends that its a solid good to.
We had a lovely stay at The Metro. The small, boutique hotel reminded us of European stays and the hotel was in the perfect location! We walked Haight Ashbury and The Castro district and rented bikes to tour beyond. The hotel was close to exceptional coffee shops and restaurants and we felt so at home.
I have been staying here for decades, and it just gets better and better although it was fine to begin with. The rooms are sparkling clean. The beds are comfortable with lots of pillows and warm blankets. The comfort just can't be beaten. Wifi is strong. And the staff are so friendly and helpful. I also love all the art and the lobby is delightful as is the garden where guests can relax. The ice water with mint and lemon was delicious, too. The location is perfect to get everywhere in The City easily via public transportation. If, like me, you are a native San Franciscan, you will be proud this wonderful place exists as it represents our special culture at its best. I come home to visit old friends and family and The Metro makes it a complete joy.
Great place to stay! Close to great restaurants, the park and groceries. Very clean and great, friendly and accommodating staff. I frequent the San Francisco area often, this is a must stay for our visits.
Beautiful boutique hotel with a great location. We stayed in the Haight Ashbury room. It was a great room for our teen daughter to have her own space. The rooms were very spacious with the exception of the bathroom. Very clean. Comfortable beds. Check in was very easy even with a late arrival. The front desk staff were friendly and greeted us every time we entered the hotel. If ever in the area again I’d stay without hesitation. (Walking through the hotel the other rooms did appear small, but our room was the exception.)
The hotel was close to where I needed to be at the time. Easy walking distance to everything I needed. It is compact. There is a lovely garden area in back with ample room to sit and enjoy the solitude during the day. It is more lively at night. You will have to walk up stairs to get to your room and carry your luggage.
We had a wonderful stay at The Metro Hotel in San Francisco. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The rooms are small but that was fine with us. We would stay here again for sure. Very convenient to everything we needed.
Pros: Location on Divisadero within walking distance to the park, restaurants, transportation. Very clean, super cleaning crew. Terrific staff always upbeat. Cons: standard rooms are very small, walls are paper thin. Avoid rooms near 110, which has 3 queen beds and accommodates things like wedding parties et al that are understandably raucous.
Our 2 night stay at the metro was good. The zero parking made it a little challenging being new to the city. Overall a pleasant stay. The room was good and the staff was very accommodating. It is in a safe area of the city as well.
Convenience. Cleanness service was great I’ll definitely stay here again. If you are driving and will depend on parking that can be challenging Ps. Don’t leave any valuables out showing in the car in SF.
