I was very impressed by the hotel, and location. It was easy to access everything, the hotel was clean and modern, and the help was very good. Joey (one of their employees) was extremely friendly, and gave us so many suggestions, and was very accommodating. I would recommend others stay here while they are in the Bay area.

Very clean, extremely comfortable rooms. Good parking - expensive due to the hotel’s location, but I was lucky enough to get a room rate that included free parking. All staff that we came into contact with were very friendly and professional and helpful. The only downside is that the area is a bit noisy just due to the location, but the convenient location is likely the reason you’d be looking at this hotel in the first place. If you can deal with the outside road noise and city life, everything else is terrific. There was no noise heard between hotel rooms (which is important to me). We did not have one unpleasant experience here, and were made to feel welcome and valued the entire stay. We will definitely be staying here next time we’re in the city!

The Hotel Caza is a perfectly situated hotel, within walking distance of Pier 39 (10 minutes) and very close to Ghirardelli Square and the cable car stop. It's location is great, as you're close to the main tourist area but far enough away that you're not disturbed by excessive noise.
The rooms are decently sized, comfortable and clean. The TV is huge and has a good array of channels for you to view while you're preparing for your day of sightseeing, shopping etc.
The staff were wonderful and couldn't be more friendly or helpful.
The best thing about the Hotel Caza is ironically the SF visitor tax. You will pay this wherever you stay in San Francisco, but at least here you can see and experience what you're paying for. The games room (arcade games, pool tables and board games) is brilliant when you get back to the hotel, but aren't quite ready for bed.
Have a drink at the bar and unwind with some family fun, or watching some live sport on one of the TV's. There's also an outdoor heated pool, but this can get pretty busy.
In addition there is free coffee available between 7 and 10am, popcorn and cookies and milk of an afternoon and an evening.
Really nice hotel and one I would be happy to return to.

This hotel has potential but there’s definitely room for improvement. When we arrived we were directed to the self check in kiosks and assigned a room. In hindsight I would have waited for a human to discuss the room location because we were given room 107 which is super far from the lobby. It would be ok if there was an entrance on that side of the building but there’s not so it’s a long walk to and from the lobby. They did text to see if we were happy with the room and when I said no they were good about moving us to a room closer to the lobby so the service was good on that. I also would have reserved a city view room, we were on the first floor looking at a wall. The room we were moved to was smaller than the first, the chair was totally wedged in between the wall and bed. The first room also had a nice wireless charging pad but the room we moved to did not. Also, a mini fridge would be helpful in the room, especially for the number of families staying there.
Our other main issue in the room was cleanliness. The carpet did not appear to have been vacuumed and had food debris around the desk. The bathroom was also quite dirty, the floor and shower especially. It did not seem like the hotel had been cleaned well after the remodel, there was dirt running down the shower walls and when my husband wiped his hand on the floor he had dirt and dust all over it. When we reported the issue they offered to move us again but we didn’t want to go through the hassle, they did send housekeeping in but the issue wasn’t totally resolved. Another thing lacking, towel bars in the bathroom - there is just a small hook on the back of the door which isn’t enough for a family all trying to hang towels to dry. We had to remove a roll of toilet paper to have somewhere to hang a hand towel. They did check in again via text and I expressed some disappointment but at that point we were just getting through the rest of the stay.
The pool was closed which was a bummer, there was no mention on the website prior to our stay that would be the case but they still charge the full “destination fee” which is something I hate but has became the standard at all hotels unfortunately. They do have a game room but the pool table cues were all already in rough shape, the large connect 4 board was broken and the arcade games take quarters to play which was also annoying after paying a fee that includes the game room as an amenity. It would also be nice to have a coffee maker in the room to save from having to go to the lobby for coffee first thing in the AM. We did appreciate the water machines so you can refill your water bottles and the branded ones I noticed they had in the first room were cute although the room we moved to didn’t have any.
Overall it wouldn’t take much to take this place from “meh” to “really good stay” . I’m not sure we’d stay here again but after reading reviews of all the hotels in this area none of them seemed outstanding, something that seems to be common in high tourist spots where they know people will come stay regardless.

Beautiful hotel in a great location near fisherman’s wharf checks off a lot of boxes. Very child friendly property. Rooms could be larger and the water pressure could be a lot better. There are no refrigerators or coffee machines in the rooms ? I heard they charge for a refrigerator if you want one. Staff was friendly and attentive. Issue is the hidden parking fee of $60.00 per day. I booked through hotels.com and my confirmation made no mention of a parking fee. In fact it says all resort fees were included in my confirmation. That includes a daily stay fee of $30.00. So it’s $90.00 a day if you have a car. It approx doubles the cost of your room ! I spoke to the manager about the fee and he said the best he can do is charge me $30 for parking and he will contact the third party website to include the additional parking fees. Not cool and probably illegal. I wasn’t going to let $30 spoil my quick get away, but you’ve been warned. A room costing anywhere from $90-130 dollars a day will cost you $90 more on top of that.

The basics were great and the room was nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. The location is phenomenal, easily in walking distance of Fisherman's Wharf and lots of places to see. However, there was no refrigerator in the room and there was no complementary breakfast, so food was overall kind of an issue. Also, parking was expensive at $60/day. This wouldn't normally be a huge deal, especially in the city, but they added a $30 destination fee at checkout for things like towels and wi-fi, and it wasn't clear we would pay that charge. I especially didn't like it given the food and parking situation.

Overall, Caza is a decent value for what you get, but just be aware of what you're getting and what you're really paying.

Newly opened but already showing signs of wear and tear with cracked filthy windows, holes in ceiling, cracks, scratches and obviously cheaply done up. Be careful if you pay for a view because apparently the photo attached counts as a view - the big blue building opposite. Even after flagging this with hotel staff they were still adamant this was a view. Housekeeping didn't empty bins for days. They often threw bedsheets over the bed but didn't actually make the bed. Fan in bathroom didn't work neither did locks. Very noisy all throughout the night with numerous people in vans climbing into skips to empty into their personal vans, diggers filling up skips and street bins being emptied at 2am. Did not have one goodnight sleep our whole stay. Had issues with the hotel wanting to take more money than booking.com which took considerable amount of our vacation time to sort out (had to go through booking.com to sort as hotel were not helpful). Expensive for what it is. This is not my first stay in San Francisco, I would highly recommend visiting but definitely not in this hotel. I never write negative reviews but feel potential guests need to know what they are actually staying in so they can book elsewhere.

We had an amazing time at this hotel that is walking distance to fisherman's wharf and so many other places. The staff was very accommodating. The bar staff especially Fro (so much fun and personable, made our stay awesome) I would have given a 5 score if the bathroom in our room had some kind of railing (I am not in need of help), but would have been safer having something to hold on to getting in and out of the shower, because it felt insecure getting, it was slippery despite tub having a film on it. I enjoyed the security of the elevator needing a key to get to the upper floors. The biggest bummer was $60.00 plus per night for parking that was not mentioned during booking (but was mentioned @checkin) understanding that cities with limited parking need to charge extra should not be lured by "discounted" hotel rates. I also want to thank Ray for his great customer service in some of these issues.

I went back and forth about staying at this hotel based on reviews and even canceled my original reservation but then re-booked. I am so glad I did. Our family of four (with a 3 and 9 year old) is here now and we are having a great stay. The room doesn’t have view but we got one of the cheaper rooms so it was expected and because of that is actually really quiet. The rooms are very nice and the location is great, centered between Pier 39 and Ghirardelli Square. The staff have been amazing with our kids and our favorite part has been the lobby/lounge/game area. We have been able to come back when our kiddos are tired, get a drink at the bar and hang out in the game room or head back up to our room. Once the pool is up and running in April this place will be even better!

Our family of four stayed at hotel Caza while visiting relatives and celebrating my wife's 50th birthday. The staff took care of us in such an amazing way! Impeccable service. Thank you so much Zack, Rebecca, Liza and everyone else we dealt with for our special needs. You really are a large reason our visit was so pleasantly memorable.

The room had high standard, very clean, felt newly refurbished and fresh. The beds and linen are top notch!

The location is a stone's throw away from fisherman's wharf with all the touristy stuff close at hand.

A pleasant surprise was that the hotel actually has some nice breakfast croissants and sandwiches for sale which is great if you're in a hurry. The water bottles/bags were great and we liked that concept a lot.

The gym is small but has great new equipment. There is also a small bar, real coffee and plenty of entertaining games.

The hotel is super family friendly without feeling annoyingly kindergarden-ish.
10/10, will definately come stay again.

I booked direct on the hotel’s website, under “offers” section there is a “park&play” offer with 50% off parking on site in the hotel’s car park. Works out at $31 a day, which, trust me, for SF was cheap and it’s secure. Hope this helps
