Our trip to the Lodge in late June was amazing for the diversity of fishing experiences, with opportunities to land King Salmon on a fly rod, to daily limits of Sockeye, and skating mouse patterns for aggressive Rainbows. Each flyout destination had a unique element from big rivers with abundant Kings to small creeks with big rainbow trout.

Upon return to the lodge after a full day of fishing, the cold beer and appetizers make for a great transition into the comforts of cabins. The entire staff at the Lodge have things dialed in to ensure an incredible experience.

The combination of elements:
*Ideal location on the NakNek river for easy access to prime locations
*Experienced guides and pilot
*Beautifully maintained Beaver for flyouts
*Incredible main Lodge with every comfort needed
*Comfortable cabins with full amenities
*Best food in Alaska
made our trip to The Lodge at 58 North one of the best experiences we have had.

Looking forward to being back in Alaska again this year with The Lodge at 58 North

Our family’s passion is fly fishing, and we’ve been blessed to visit some of the finest lodges in the world including more than a dozen visits to Bristol Bay at four different lodges over the years. In our experience, we can safely say that not only is the Lodge at 58 North the best fishing lodge in Bristol Bay, but as time goes on we feel confident that it will be considered amongst the finest fly fishing lodges in the world!

My son and I have stayed here twice, most recently in the fall of ‘23. The fishing speaks for itself, the guides are incredibly knowledgable and helpful for any skill level, and not only fishy, but also extraordinarily friendly.

The cabin's accommodations, bedding and bath are comparable to any modern 5 star hotel, there’s absolutely zero sacrifice in comfort to be in such a pristine and remote natural environment.

Finally, the food deserves its own review, but suffice to say it’s just spectacular! My son is a notoriously picky eater but he devours every meal at the lodge. I appreciate the culinary experience greatly, but especially love the fact that the food is clean and healthy and carefully prepared. In short, this place is INCREDIBLE!!

Whether it’s your one and only trip to Alaska or you plan on coming back every year the Lodge at 58 North offers a trip of a life time! I have fished all over the Pacific NW, Canada and Alaska and the lodge is by far the best fishing, dining, residence and staff experience you’ll ever have.

It begins when you arrive at King Salmon airport and are welcomed with warm hugs and big smiles. The team offers excitement and encouragement to old, young, experienced and novice anglers. Here is nothing but positivity and opportunity awaiting. After a 15 min ride you arrive at a 5 star lodge. Newly built and designed by owners Kate and Justin Crump. While the team settles your luggage you are met by the greatest chief west of the Mississippi. I kid you not Jason Brown offers unbelievable delights each and every day. Heck…I’d visit the lodge just for the food.

During diner each night Jason and Kate meet with the guest to decide where you will fish the following day. After morning breakfast you will either launch off in the best river boats the river sees or have pilot Chris take you to one of the teaming waters Bristol Bay offers. Chris is an amazing pilot and as a passenger it’s a secure feeling flying in his wings. After a day flying we always return for drinks and appetizers . Then the fantastic diner Jason has prepared with tales shared of the day.

Whether you are a solo angler, want to fish with your spouse or bring your kids along the lodge and team will provide the best Alaska has to offer. My wife and adult children, not anglers at all, will tell you of stories with bears, moose, king salmon,
weathering storms, leaking waders and laughing so hard at times we almost fell out of the boat.

Kate, Justin, Jason and the team really care about their guest and will do everything possible to make sure you have the time of your life. Don’t miss this!

What a place! Kate and Justin are amazing people, and their team complements their personalities.

Chef Jason and Luke make you feel at home.
I struggle with food allergies and I was lucky enough to have them take care of me. I wasn’t left out of a meal. Beyond the fact I was there to fish. Every meal was exceptional.
It was a privilege to share food and meet the other guests and guides that their team had coordinated for us.

Their pilot, Chris, will become your best friend and be the best pilot you’ve traveled with. Be prepared to sit copilot. It’s been a highlight behind catching amazing trout and salmon.

The guides are amazing. People I’d call my friends after being there a week. My dad and I were so lucky to have shared our time with the lodge at 58 north.

It would be my privilege to get back and have days with their team again.

I’m so lucky to have been at this lodge and cannot wait to be back!

Thank you Kate and Justin. You have an amazing family of team members.

Take care, Sean

Truly the most incredible place I’ve ever been and I cannot wait to go back! The owners & staff are truly some of the finest people I’ve ever met and welcome their guests like family. The accommodations are first class, the food is amazing and the fishing can’t be beat. Get a trip booked here - you won’t regret it!

There is no shortage of “rustic” lodges in Alaska. It was refreshing to see so many touches of modern style and comfort at the Lodge at 58 North. The fishing, food, accommodations, and staff were all exceptional, but the overall excellent ambiance and atmosphere of the lodge was perhaps the most surprising.

Justin, Kate and the staff for the Lodge at 58* North are a "first class" operation! Everyone knew our names from the minute we stepped off the airplane in King Salmon. The service, the food, the Lodge and the fishing were all excellent. I like small, bespoke operations and the Lodge at 58* North excelled! I will be back and bring more family and friends!

The lodge was incredible and the staff as well. The fishing experience was the best I have had and I have been going to Alaska since 1965. The best experiences were the best and I felt safe the whole time. The float plane trips to remove creeks were unbelievable
I welcome to opportunity to go back in the next couple of years!

I am a fly fishing industry professional and have fished at dozens of lodges all over the world…I have to put the lodge at 58 north at the top of the list. The accommodations, the food, the staff and especially the fishing exceeded all expectations. I’ve fished in Alaska many times and this was my favorite trip by far!

I traveled here as a solo mid-50s woman traveler for a women's fly-fishing trip and this was my first stay at a lodge like this. Justin and Kate and their staff were generous and gracious hosts. The Lodge and cabins are appointed in a comfortable wilderness elegance. The food and drink were out of this world--each meal different than the next--and the chef tried to use as many local ingredients as possible. The guides are expert in their craft and they quickly understood the things needed to make each angler successful on each outing. I caught king salmon, sockeye salmon and rainbow trout on this trip--multiple times! I loved flying in the float plane--I went to the Brooks River to see the bears and fish for trout and one of the most memorable trips was to a creek on the edges of Katmai National Park to hike and fish--the float plane dropped us off and we hiked across the tundra seeing multiple birds and wildflowers unlike anything I had ever experienced. In fact, if I wasn't such a distracted birder, I would have caught more fish. Each guide knew their stuff and took me to incredible places. On one of the float plane rides back, our pilot pointed out a pod of 50+ beluga whales. I appreciated the ways that Justin and Kate and their staff personalized the experience for each guest. Initially, I thought this might be a once in a lifetime trip for me, but it's not. I'm already thinking about when I will go back and when I do, I will stay here.
