Upon checking into our room this was one of the cleanest smelling rooms I have ever encountered and I have stayed in 5 Star hotels. The ownership is so welcoming and hospitable. True professionals in the hotel industry. Great location within walking distance to all that Bar Harbor has to offer. Definitely recommend and would stay again if in the area.

This is a very nice little hotel in Bar Harbor. The staff were very helpful with suggestions for town. You can walk to many restaurants or down to the harbor which is quite helpful as parking is difficult and metered in town. The room is spacious and there is seating both inside and out on the porch.

My daughter and I stayed for two nights at this charming motel. The motel was clean and had beautiful flowers/landscape in the front that you could enjoy sitting on the porch. The staff was so helpful and friendly, they could not have been better. There is coffee, ice and a water bottle filler in the office which was so convenient. The motel is within walking distance of everything you need including all the shops and restaurants Bar Harbour has to offer. Overall an excellent stay that I would highly recommend!

Island Place in Bar Harbor is a great place to stay! The room was adorable, clean and everything was new! We had 2 chairs and a table right outside our door for our morning coffee or evening night cap. The owners and everyone that works there are extremely welcoming and helpful! The location cannot be beat as you are walking distance to downtown and the Island Explorer buses that take you into Arcadia are free! I cannot say enough about how wonderful our stay was! We will definetly stay here again!

Great stay! Motel had clean, quiet, and comfortable rooms at a reasonable price. Appreciated the 24 hour access to coffee in the lobby. If you get up to watch the sunrise on Cadillac Mountain, you'll appreciate it too!! Motel is a quick walk to town, but removed from the traffic and crowds. Makes getting to Acadia a breeze. Would stay again.

We enjoyed our stay at this small motel type inn. The on-site office always had someone there when we needed them. The staff was so sweet and so helpful with suggestions and directions. The office also had easy access to printer, ice machine, water bottle filling station and more. The room was basic but clean and comfortable. Refrigerator worked great. Quiet street with on-site parking. Not a short walk but definitely walkable to the heart of Bar Harbor. So close to Acadia. We enjoyed sitting in the chairs outside our room.

This was a good location and reasonably priced for the area. Hosts were friendly. Rooms were large, equipped with a refrigerator. Coffee was available in the office with an ice machine and water dispenser which we used. We were able to walk into town to the shops and restaurants.

We booked 3 rooms for 2 nights at the Island Place in July, one of the few hotels that didn’t require a 3-night min stay and was under $350 a night. The hotel had a very welcoming feeling as soon as we checked-in. The night host greeted us warmly and gave us a run down of the place. Free Wi, Free parking, Free coffee, tea & hot chocolate in the lobby that is available 24 hrs. Plus there is daily housekeeping. Each room is slightly different but well appointed, they were clean and comfortable. Each room had a little seating area in the room, towels in the bathroom were very plush, fridge in the room, love it when there is a ceiling fan for white noise. Outside each room a small table and 2 chairs to enjoy the fresh air. Bed was very comfortable, on the soft side. Just wished I booked a King room, not used to sleeping in a queen and could have used a bit more space. The hotel is a 10-15 min walk to town; we made the trip several times as we didn’t want to deal with trying to park in Bar Harbor. The walk was easy and flat. Of the 3 hotels during out week-long trip, this was the best one for sleep quality.…

We stayed at Island Place in Bar Harbor for three nights and I would highly recommend it. It was very reasonably priced and had everything we needed. Since it is such a small motel, with only about 11 rooms, everything was so convenient. We could park right in front of our room so the many trips back to our car were quick and easy. They have a small table and 2 chairs outside every room where we drank wine and reflected on our day each night. We had 24 hour access to the main office which was only a few doors down and it had coffee, a hot water station for tea and hot chocolate, and a water bottle station with ice so we could fill our water bottles as needed. Also, the people were very friendly and helpful. The location was an easy walk to downtown and there was a grocery store about two blocks away as well. The room is nothing fancy, but had everything we needed and was very clean. The flowers and landscaping around the hotel was well done. Compared to the cost of other places close to downtown Bar Harbor, Island Place is a great deal and we would definitely stay there again.…
