I spent four days at this resort in Guam in early December. The property was generally very clean (with the notable exception of the glass elevators), and the staff were very personable and attentive. In particular several of the wait staff went out of their way to ensure that items requested were brought to our table even though they had stopped resupplying the buffet line. Each meal they greeted us like we were long time friends and seemed to genuinely care about their guests and their work. The housekeeping staff were equally caring and we interacted with two of them for a lengthy time. Both were very solicitous and gracious people. Their services were efficient but thorough. The property is a little older and the room appointments a bit dated so don’t expect the WOW experience when you enter the lobby or the guest room. There’s a policy there that should be enforced but appears to be largely ignored and that’s charging guests for the excessive amounts of wasted food during buffets. Saw guests repeatedly loading plates with enormous amounts of food that they barely touched, while continuing to make numerous trips to the buffet. So wasteful!!

There is no shuttle service to the airport and taxis charge a dollar for each suitcase in addition to the high cost of taxi service. Recommend using the convenient Red Guahan Shuttle to get to the shopping areas or to other hotels. Cost is $4.00/trip or $15.00 for two days unlimited trips. All told it was a pleasant experience with the service of the staff being the most positive.

Had a my children's birthday celebration here, my sister and I rented 3 rooms all on the same floor. We did not opt for the free breakfast. Check-in was easy and everyone was more than accommodating. We stayed from Friday to Sunday. Did not have a hard time getting into the waterpark or using the the kayaks or snorkeling. All in all our stay was awesome. Children had so much fun. We made use of the hotel pool too.

I am very disappointed in the customer service representatives at Onward Beach Resort Guam. I had a business trip planned throughout the Northern Marianas Islands the week of September 10, 2018, which was the same arrival date as Typhoon Mangkut. My flights to Guam were canceled, and my first 2 hotels of the week (the Westin Resort Guam & Hyatt Saipan) were very accommodating and waived the cancellation fee due to the extreme weather. When we contacted the Onward Resort customer service requesting them to waive the cancellation fee due to the Typhoon, they stated that "the weather here is fine" and that the Typhoon does not qualify a guest's cancellation fee to be waived. Please feel free to call the reservations department and ask about their cancellation fee due to extreme weather, they will give you the same response.

Great view from upper stories. Modest room conditions. Nice services. Lots of fun water activities at the pool, the beach and the water park nearby. Definately enjoyed my stay with 5 years old kid. I wouldnt recommend BBQ because it’s rather expensive than other restaurants nearby. Besides that, perfect stay.
Thank chainsawx
