We just came back from a 5 day stay at this house and it is just beautiful. The house, the location, the beach, the amenities. I can't say enough about how upscale this place is compared to other rental houses on the north shore. There is really nothing to complain about. We had a little problem with their internet connection( it didn't work the entire time we were there) but there was a starbucks nearby with free wifi and they ended up giving me wifi codes to their other two houses on the lot.

We stayed at this house and their other beach front home twice and both times it was absolutely amazing! Everything was beyond our expectations. We had a problem with the air conditioner the first time and I called and left a message the night we arrived. The following day, first thing in the morning a gentlemen arrived and fixed it. This home is right on the beach, best sunsets in the world. Great tide pools to explore. Directly in front of the homes is a lava flow for exploration. A mere 2 minutes walk down the stairs and 10 feet to the beach. Super location as Food Land is within 5 minutes of the house as is Shark's Cove for great snorkeling. I can't say enough good things about the home and about Jen and Marsha (contacts). If you want a laid-back vacation and enjoy walking on a practically deserted beach, then this place if for you. We hope to go back this year or next!

We just returned from a three week vacation in Hawaii. Our traveling group consisted of four retirees in our late fifties and early sixties. Our first stop was in Oahu and the lovely condo in Halewia called TROPICAL WATERS. It consists of a group of three newer homes all with designer furnishings. We stayed in Make Hale Unit E. It was located on the ocean with a rocky shoreline in front of the condo. A short walk from the house lands you on a sandy beach. The house is in a gated area so we felt safe at all times. There were three bedrooms, one of which contained twin beds. The deck on the front of the house was huge with comfortable furniture and a gas grill. The kitchen was adequately furnished and the house contained large sliding doors that opened onto the deck allowing for ocean breezes to cool off the house. There is air conditioning, but we loved the sound of the ocean. Our only concern was that we arrived after dark and t here were no lights on to guide our way. We are to blame for this, as we forgot to mention to the owners that we were arriving late. Fortunately, my husband had packed a small flashlight so within minutes we were snugly inside the house.

We went to the Polynesian Cultural Center and had a good time. Families should definitely not miss this. It is geared towards children with many hands-on activities for them to enjoy. We especially enjoyed the luau (good food) and the show that followed. Don't miss the fire dancer!

Being children of WWII veterans, we were moved by our trip to the Arizona in Pearl Harbor. We were allowed to leave a lei at the gravesite and were there on a day that survivors were signing autographs. I purchased a book about Pearl Harbor from the original author who was happy to sign it and graciously wrote a message to my eighty-one year old father thanking him for his years of service in the navy and in WWII. I am eager to give it to him.

Our trip to Waikiki Beach was fun, as we enjoyed watching the surfers. Don't miss eating at the Cheesecake Factory. The food was delicious!

We also made a trip to the Dole Pineapple Plantation and found it to be a relaxing and enjoyable experience. We took many pictures and ended our day by visiting one of the shrimp trucks in Halewia for lunch. You need to experience this at least once in your lifetime.

We would definitely recommend TROPICAL WATERS to anyone visiting Oahu. You won't be sorry.

I have rented this house twice. Second time was for a week in October 2011. I have rented on Sunset Beach 3 times. It is hard to tell from maps of the area but this house is ocean front. You have an area of lava rock in front of the house but have plenty of beach access just to the left of the house. The sunsets are outstanding!

On this property there are 3 houses. Two are ocean front. You have a gated entry on the driveway and also onto the beach. Each house has 2 reserved parking places. Driving in on the driveway you pass 3 other houses before the gated entry. This is what most folks don't realize about Ke-Iki Rd. There may be 3-6 houses between the main road and ocean. Very important to understand. Ke-Iki is a feeder road to houses but right next to main road. If you are right on Ke-Iki, you may have a lot of road noise and may need to consider this. We had that issue in another house we rented our first time on Oahu. This house and others on this property would all have no road noise. There is a nice bike path next to Ke-Iki that runs a long distance and can be used for biking, walking, etc. This area is very quite. Even with folks in the other 2 houses on property you will have plenty of privacy. House has a number of bikes availabe for your use. House is very nice and has air conditioning unit in main living dining area and in master bedroom. Second large bedroom with queen bed and bedroom with 2 twin beds do not have air conditioning but do have ceiling fans. You will find extra towels including good quality beach towels. Many little extras such as laundry detetergent, baggies, foil, etc. were in house. Each house has its own gas grill and the deck area has an outdoor dining table as well as several chaise lounge chairs with pads. Have called property management with questions and received quick, helpful response. I will rent here again. We like this area and enjoy the fall surf.

We were looking for a house on the beach for our family of four. Even with pics you never know if a place will be as advertised when you book using the Internet. We can say that this place was just what we wanted. It had plenty of room, was clean and was very private. We could not get enough of the great ocean view from the back porch. We were lucky enough to see a whale jumping out of the water from our porch. The only criticisms that we have is the living room furniture is not comfortable and the net was not reliable. Other than those two small items we loved the place and will plan to return at some point.

with only one review on trip advisor and none on the tropical waters websites we were nervous renting one of their homes, but pulling thru the gated site we quickly relaxed. furnishings were beautiful, the home was within walking distance to sharks cove for snorkeling which is what we were aiming for. bicycles are provided which we utilized one morning to teds bakery. the deck has a great teak table, double lounge chair and grill. the view is the rocky portion of the beach but one home over the sand begins. the beach is very private, mostly residents.. the home next door is vacant and boarded up, it could become an issue when constructions begins. we merely closed the blinds.

We have stayed in both Hibiscus House and Plumeria House (2 of the 3 properties) and have really enjoyed the easy home-y feel. Both have well equipped kitchens, bathrooms and paper products etc. The furnishings are perfect for the location and we enjoy the de-cluttered space. The location is ideal for Shark's Cove, Ke iki beach and with the bikes - Pipeline and Sunset! The bikes work! And having grown up in a marine environment that is saying something! We particularly enjoy the very private feel while in the house and out on the lanai even if all the houses are occupied. The location is on a quiet pipestem - also very peaceful and quiet. The flora is lush and beautiful.

The views are stunning. We love the location of these houses for what we love to do. We love the e komo mai we feel after busy days out.

This place is fantastic. It's just about ten minutes outside of Haleiwa and right across the street from Foodland, which made the trip extremely convenient. The house was clean, well stocked, and great. There's an amazing deck with a grill and a table where we had dinner and watched the surf pound on Ke Iki beach. The house has bikes and body boards for use. We loved this place and can't wait to go back.

Our family (three adult couples) stayed in the Hibiscus House for a week over the New Years Holiday 2014-2015. It was an excellent rental, right one the beach, quiet and comfortable. First, I would note that the descriptions on the internet were 100% accurate, we had no surprises. The house was very nicely furnished, though as other reviewers noted, the living room furniture looked nicer than it was to use, and some of the dining room chairs are beginning to sag, but these were minor points. The three bedrooms and the two bathrooms were very comfortable. We never turned on the air conditioners, since the weather was so nice the ceiling fans and windows were all we used. The kitchen had all we needed for cooking a couple of meals, and the grill was nice to have as well. The house had bikes, beach gear and snorkeling gear to borrow which was a very nice addition as well. Other reviewers noted problems with the internet, but we had none. We didn't have any need to contact the office so I can't comment on their support, but the reservation process was very well handled. Finding the turn-off onto Ke-Iki Road was a bit tricky, suggest you try to find it the first time in the daytime. We also enjoyed being walking distance to Foodland and their coffee shop, as well as the Shark's Cover Grill food truck next door to the Foodland was convenient. All in we felt great value for the money, a awesome location you can sit four hours and watch the waves come into the beach and crash into the rocks.

We love the Tropical Water Ginger House, Hibiscus House and Plumeria House! The views across the Kahawai lava and Ke Iki Beach are amazing... especially when a swell comes in. With cruiser bikes available you can ride to Sunset, Pipeline and check out all the great spots. Foodland grocery is nearby and offers some of the best poke bowls around. Tropical Waters has SUP’s and snorkel gear too to borrow. Shark’s Cove is a short bike ride away. All of this is to say is that Tropical Waters has everything to make your North Shore vacation even better.
