My high school graduate granddaughter and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at Aaron's for 11 nights. Robert, the owner, was quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had prior to arrival. When we didn't know how to operate the AC, manager Brian responded within minutes even though it was almost 10 PM. The cottage was clean and comfortable, and the grounds were well-maintained with beach access only five minutes away. The room had its own fridge, toaster, microwave, and coffee maker; and breakfast foods were available in the shared kitchen. We couldn't have been more pleased with our accommodations or the quality of service we received.
Alan met us outside after we got in late to let us know the best place to park. He was very friendly and attentive. The cottage we stayed in was very clean and comfortable. We only stayed overnight but it was very quiet for being so close to the airport. It is also very close to the beach access path.
we got in and everything was wonderful. we needed and extra towel and we had it within minutes. we enjoyed our stay . slept really well in the comfortable beds. we had plenty of room for the 3 if us. we would stay there next time as well. we took a walk to the cute beach. thank you for a quick stay.
We stayed here for 2 weeks and loved it! Quiet little gem of a place. We booked our stay through booking.com and even though booking.com messed up our reservation we were accommodated us. Room was a typical hotel style room with a nice refrigerator and plenty of room to unpack. Queen bed was very comfortable. Room had air conditioning but you really don’t need it at night. Shared kitchen was stocked with fresh fruit, eggs etc. coffee maker in room. Allen, the caretaker, was always onsite, very helpful and pleasant. If you need something just ask. Rob, the owner, was usually onsite and a real nice and pleasant man. Laundry facilities onsite. The best part was the beach. Just a short walk. The grounds are very well kept and perfect for a evening of star gazing.
We found Aaron’s Cottages to be lovely. We had a 1 bedroom with private bath that adjoined a common kitchen area. Our room also had a mini fridge. The management was very pleasant and offered multiple times to get us whatever we needed. The place was a great value for the price!
We would definitely recommend this place for value, just keep in mind that it is a B&B type of experience. Aaron was quick to respond to initial questions and Allen the manager was a hoot and very responsive to any requests that we had. I think that there may be different types of rooms, but ours was one large room. If you have a 3rd person, the bedding is interesting. Our daughter was given a cot with a fold out cushion, sheets and pillow. While that worked out fine for her because she is a petite 19 year old, it may not be so great for larger adults. The place was quiet with access to a large back yard and a shared kitchen that had basic necessities for cooking breakfast. There was a nice volcanic rock beach within close walking distance. We would stay there again.
When in Hilo, Aaron’s Cottage is a little retreat from the over priced resorts. It is located in a residential neighborhood so we felt like living in the community. There is public beach access at the end of the street within walking distance. We stayed here for three nights. The cottage is simple with basic amenities - in room mini refrigerator, TV, hair dryer, iron and board, and coffee maker with Royal Kona ground coffee packets. There is a detached kitchen area for guests to use, which includes a small stove, toaster, fridge, cooking, utensils, condiments, etc. Aaron’s provides complimentary milk (for coffee and/or cereal), eggs, bread, and fresh fruit from the garden - papaya, bananas, and avocado each morning. You make your own breakfast. We enjoy taking our time in the morning to have coffee and breakfast, just like at home. The on-site manager was really friendly and helpful in getting us settled. We will definitely stay here the next time we are in Hilo.…
nice and friendly manger, room as you get in the pictures however the room was not clean properly, you see hair balls of previous visitors, amd dust all over the room overpriced for what u get but it was an OK stay over all
We stayed here for 2 nights and enjoyed the well equipped cabin with a large bed, bath, incl roku TV. The shared kitchen was perfect to make fresh breakfast. The second morning we even had sun to sit outside! Allan is very friendly! He recommended the secret beach, which is a gem although we didnt see the turtles (maybe due to Hurricane Lane impacted still high surf).
They guy running the properties (Alan?) was very friendly. The room itself has certainly seen better days. It has everything you need but was well worn and the curtains haven't been washed in a long time with mould on the back. You can grab breakfast in the shared kitchen, had some fruit and cereal and the wifi is free and good. I think the price reflects the quality as it is on the cheaper side of things in Hawaii (eveything is expensive)! You get what you pay for. It is a very short drive to Hilo and the airport. Would consider again if in the area.
