This is an old water park hotel- Kind of Great Wolf Lodge vibes- only they must not have been able to afford to keep the water park open. All the slides are closed off. There are other parts of the hotel that are boarded up as well. The breakfast is cereal, hard boiled eggs, mini muffins and coffee. But no where to eat it unless you go back to your room. Nice rooms, clean and friendly staff. But not worth the price at all.

These images are VERY deceiving. We stayed here recently and what you don't see are the makeshift "walls" immediately behind these supposedly beautiful amenities. They put up "walls" directly behind the one pool that is remaining, blocking off the remainder of the space in the pool area, as everything other than the one pool and hot tub are permanently closed. The pool isn't even visible from the hot tub, and the tiki hut shown in the photos is on the opposite side of the walls as well. The pool was filthy with huge amounts of sand on the bottom of the surface. There were no pool towels available, and the bin for returned towels was overflowing on the ground. The space that was previously used as an arcade clearly had severe water damage, as the machines were gone and the entire space was gutted, with dehumidifiers everywhere. This stay was a massive disappointment. I felt bad for their front desk employees who were dealing constantly with unsatisfied customers.

Really odd experience. Everything was in transition from previous owner. Hardly anyone was around. Going to the hot tub/pool area felt like something out of a zombie apocalypse. Most of the area is walled off since the water park has been permanently closed. The bar and restaurant was closed down, although the lady at the front desk offered to grab me a beverage.

Pictures on website are a little misleading but the gym was really nice.

On a side note, some of the side doors have been taped to be unlocked without the use of a key card which seemed really sketchy.

This was our 2nd time taking our girls there now ages 3.5 and 5.5. First when they were 2 and 4. If you are looking for something fun to do when it’s cold and your kids need to burn some energy off this is the place to go. We love the bunk bed suite. The kids love the bunk bed and being able to watch tv in their own room. We love the king size bed and nice living room. Breakfast is $6 for ages 4 and up on the weekends and even during Covid was better than expected! Waterpark has plenty of space and things for kids of all ages to do! There is a good sized area for kids 3 and under to play safely in and then different slides, a lazy river some basketball hoops and the log obstacle course for older kids. The air temp and water temp is comfortable and there isn’t the horrible chlorine smell like most water parks. There is a little cafe by the waterpark with plenty of food to choose from and also a bar for adult beverages. Oh and the staff were all very welcoming and helpful as well. We have no complaints about the resort itself. Waterpark stays are always on the more expensive side but their prices are comparable to other waterpark we’ve been to.

Thank you for another great stay!

We checked into our room on Friday night and when we went into the bathroom we discovered what looked like the tub and shower had been neglected forever. Lots of rust around the drain, rust all around the overflow drain, the overflow drain appeared to be repaired with a plaster substance, and public hairs still on the bottom of the tub. I called the front desk and the girl working found us a different room. However, when she came to let us know our new room number she made a comment that they were aware that some rooms were having that issue from hard-water. That was definitely not a hard water issue. We got into our new room and went to use the paper coffee cups and realized that there was coffee stains already in the cups. We took our kids to the pool area and were about to go in when we discovered ants all over the top step to the pool which was dry. That is a health department violation right there. Then when you looked at the drains around the edge
of the pool and the pool floor and walls they looked like they had been neglected for quite sometime. My kids couldn't even enjoy the pool. That was the main reason we chose Bantr Hotel. I now see why the Waterpark part is shutdown. It should be the whole pool area until they make some improvements. Lots of small raised spots where it goes from concrete to tiled floors, the lobby is nothing pleasing to the eye. I called asked about a discount and I get told 10% is all the person could do. Ouch a slap in the face after all the issues we encountered. I definitely can't see myself going back there until some improvements are made and they can rectify the situation with more then 10%.

went downhill from the start. Got a nail in my foot stepping out of the car, in a handicapped space no less! When we told the check-in about it they said the trucks use that area to load/unload materials. Make-shift reception area, under construction. Once we checked in and couldn't access our room with the code they gave us(they claimed we didn't input the code correctly. really??? I tried 5 times and think my PhD brain can read numbers) room with no view. next, we decided to go to the hot tub and stopped to ask for directions to get there, we could see it but there was no easy access, we were asked for our ID. ID??? to go to the pool??? took about 20 minutes to find our way to the single access door to the pool area and found it void of pool towels and void of any phone to call to request any. One of the other guest gave us a couple towels they had. We returned to reception to get our ID back and found it laying on the table where anyone could take it(there were other people in the pool). The room seemed stuffy but we didn't realize that the ac was not functioning until I woke up sweating at 2:30am. Slept without even a sheet it was that warm. People came in, tried to adjust, said it was broken and sent maintenance who managed to fix it in time for us to leave. Breakfast is a joke, one bagel, 5 donuts some hb-eggs and yogurt. At least we had juice. Tried the hot tub in the morning, remembering to bring the cell phone in case there were no towels again (there weren't any), at least the ID was stored behind the reception table this time. Decided I should file an incident report about the nail just in case I did break skin with the rusty nail and they, of course, had none. Had me write down my name and email and said they would contact me. We stayed Friday the 18th, it is now the 29th, nary an email. won't be back

We recently had our first stay at the Grand Lodge. We loved the room decor, very rustic. Everything was very clean, and they had put extra pillows in the room as requested.

We loved the fact that you could stay a night and play the next day, but were disappointed in the waterpark only being open on the weekends. I will say it was well noted on their website and they even gave me a call to let me know, since we were staying on a Sunday night. Would just like to see weekday offerings in the future :)

The only complaint I really had was the check in was not until 4pm. Would have been nice to have an early check in, so we could have put our items in the room before using the park. (More of a convenience thing).

There was plenty to do at the park and it was very clean (besides a stray band-aid, and you will get that with kiddos). Waterpark temp was just right, as was the water.

The food options for lunch were pretty good, nothing fabulous, just the usual waterpark food. I will say the prices were decent, but very long lines. We would have ordered to our room, but couldn't get a room until 4 pm. We didn't want to have to put clothes on to go eat elsewhere and come back, so we made do.

Love the locker system they have here. You use a code for the lockers, so you don't have to carry a key all day! Perfect! The price was reasonable as well, I believe 6.00.

Also, got a great night sleep. The walls were MUCH thicker here than Mt. Olympus.

We will be back to visit! If you are questioning whether or not to go, I would say it is a huge yes from our family. :)

we booked really early but still go a handy cape room. we did not pay for that but was told that was all they had. Even we booked way in advance. had a centennial breakfast but down side they allowed pets. One guest fed his dog from the table a piece if meat. that was it for us. other wise clean room.

We found out when we got here that the water park is closed. Possibly indefinitely. We were on town for the RV show, so that wasn't a deal breaker, but it would have been nice to know when we booked the room three hours earlier. Bed was comfortable, the Keurig coffee maker was a nice touch, and there was little to no noise, so we got a great night sleep. The shower head was pulled out of the wall and there were more rust stains in the tub than I've ever seen. That said, the shower wasn't bad at all.

We did argue for a discount due to no water park. It took a little bit, but they gave in. We saved a good chunk of money.

I rated three stars because of the water park being closed. We were excited to do some swimming in the evenings.

The place is deserted. It’s creepy. Very sparse. Be aware the water park is closed down. The rooms were old and not in great shape. The beds. Omg the mattresses are covered in stains. Our room smelt bad. Like old and urine. Mildew. The shower needed tlc. Luckily we only stopped here on our way to the UP. There is a holiday inn around the corner that looks nice.

We are excited to host you in the near future! We have a restaurant onsite where your party can purchase food and beverage from. Outside food and drinks are not authorized in the waterpark area. Let us know if you have any further questions!

If you are comparing the Grand Lodge to the big waterpark hotels in the Dells - no. If you are looking for low key fun, an off-season getaway - yes. My son is 8 and he loved the slides, basketball in the pool, lilypads, water playground. For one or two days, there is enough to do but not like the Kalahari, Great Wolf, Wilderness, etc. The rooms were super spacious which is great when travelling with kids.

I did not have a loft suite, but based upon what I saw the hotel is very nice just noise carries too well from floor to floor.

It was when we stayed there. If I remember correctly, there was yogurt, fruit, toast, cereal, etc. Everything was fresh and the area was clean.
