Room had a few somewhat minor cleanliness and maintenence issues—the bathroom door not latching, some specs in the microwave and mini-fridge, air filters in the PTAC being a bit dusty, and one of the light bulbs for the lamp between the beds being burned out. WiFi was also a little slow, but not terrible. Everything else however was clean, the view of the Interstate and airport nearby out the window was nice, and the soundproofing was excellent. A few other things to note about this place: there is no elevator since it's only two floors, we were able to open the window to get some fresh air, and our room had a safe which was locked and appeared to be either not working or required a fee to be used. I believe the hotel also provides shuttle service to and from the airport. Overall not a bad option for people looking for a fairly cheap place to stay around the Wausau area and near the woods of Northern Wisconsin.

This hotel is just a stone throw away from the Wausau (CWA) airport which was exactly what I required for my business trip. I had a king size room booked, the room was spacious enough, had microwave and refridgerator, neat and tidy , the staff was courteous. There is a wonderful restaurant just 1 min walk from this hotel. The hotel also provides shuttle service to and from the airport which is was nice too. The best part is the price...only $67 per night. All in all I had a very decent and comfortable experience based on my short business trip requirement.

The room was sufficient for what we needed - just one night and it was close to the airport. The switch for the fan in the bathroom was missing and the bathroom was very small. The housekeeping staff missed a towel hanging on the back of the bathroom door, which didn't bode well. The pool area was ok, water was really nice but the room itself was extremely cold, no fans on and no heat on. The whirlpool barely ran but the temp was good. Breakfast was ok, standard stuff, waffles, cereal, hard boiled eggs, etc. They did give a good recommendation for a pizza place, Johnny T's Tropicana - it's supposed to be a sports bar, but there were no tables. The pizza made up for it though. It was awesome.

We booked 2 nights to visit family, extended our stay an additional two nights, and would stay here again. The lobby, halls, and our room smelled just fine. We chose a 2nd level room, fully aware that there are no stairs: no problem for us. The room was quiet . We enjoyed being able to open the window and there was a bird feeder directly below so we were delighted with much bird activity several mornings, except of course when the lawn was getting mowed. AC & heat worked well. Breakfast scrambled eggs and sausage were fresh, hot and very tasty. Very good orange juice. Also waffles, several cereals, pastries, fruit, coffee. The bedding, floors, bath and sink area, window sills, curtains, chairs were very clean. Yes, the place is a bit outdated & the caulking around the window was sloppy. If you're happy to pay more you can choose a newer hotel. We don't spend enough time in a hotel room to make that the focus of our vacation dollars. We made our original reservation over the phone, chatted with the owner and staff several times, and the owner came to our room to help us with the TV. They were very pleasant & helpful. No problems with their English or accents. Other traveller's included business people, couples like us, and families with little kids.

We chose this hotel for the convenience of the airport shuttle. We flew into CWA airport and waited for the shuttle. We called the hotel over and over again with no answer. Thankfully an extremely helpful driver from A DIFFERENT HOTEL drove us to Quality Inn. We arrived and nobody was at the front desk. We called the phone, we rang the bell, and still nothing. Finally someone came to the desk and was unfriendly and unapologetic about leaving us stranded at the airport.
Overall the hotel had a terrible smell. Our rooms were lacking in cleanliness (hair in the shower, bug in the room, toenail on the floor), not to mention there was no elevator, the stairs were not sturdy, and the pool was out of service.
We did use the shuttle service for checkout back to the airport. The driver did not assist us with our bags at all.
Overall would not recommend to anyone!

The hotel was fine but outdated and falling apart. The front desk only new English when it was good for them. If there was a problem they didn't understand. We were to stay for 3 days and on the 2day we tried to cancel our last day. went to the desk and was told we need to speak to manager and he would be in at 10:30am. OK We waited the the same person we spoke to last night was the manager. He Lied. then said you need a 24 hour notice to cancel. Funny how if he would have canceled like we wanted the night before we had the 24 hour notice. This is someone that should not be in a business. Toilet leak all night. TV never worked. Doors didn't lock! Never will I stay here again!

I stayed here because of the hotel's proximity to the Central Wisconsin Airport for an early morning departure. However, the adventageous location is not worth the lack of service. I was given a smoking room when I specifically requested a no-smoking room. I had to physically show the staff attendant that it was a smoking room. She did not apologize for the mistake. The new room was fine, but had no TV remote. After promising me that she would bring one to my room, I had to go fetch a remote. When I checked out in the morning, the staff attendant was rude and argumentative; beware -- they try to sneak in a charge for using the hotel safe! Don't stay here! The extra 10 minutes it takes to drive from Wausau would be worth it!!!!!

This was by far the worst hotel stay my family and I have ever had. The room had a horrible odor that would not go away. The manager followed my wife to the room when she asked for 2 additional towels for our room demanding to see why she needed additional towels. He escalated the situation to where I had to threaten to call the authorities, finally he backed down at this point. The Hotel claimed to be 100% smoke free, however the manager, who lives on site smoked in his room, billowing out of the door into the hallway and into my room. The manager harassed several of the families as they checked. Into the hotel, claiming the rates they had booked were wrong, or had their reservation entirely wrong. All of the families had booked on-line. To say his customer service was poor would be a huge understatement! This is certainly not a place anyone would want to stay! Choice Hotels would be wise to part ways with this particular hotel!

We picked this hotel as it was a central location for our family get-a-way. We had booked 3 rooms. We will NEVER go here again because of the following: -- POOL WAS SHUT DOWN BY HEALTH DEPARTMENT!! This is what we wanted to do all weekend and traveling with 4 small kids and then finding out AFTER checking in the pool was not available was not great. It rained all weekend so going to a park was not an option. -- WRONG ROOM GIVEN! We requested the King suite as a meeting place for our large group and was not given it - their excuse was that it was being used the first nite????? UMMM We requested THAT room so 1) why wasn't that said when we called in 2) why did they say when we checked in??? -- TOILET LEAKED! In the large room we were given - went through lots of towels lol -- JACUZZI WOULD NOT TURN OFF! In large room had Jacuzzi and there was a constant drip. -- ROOF LEAKED! Stains on ceiling made room gross. -- POOR BREAKFAST!! Biscuits were hard, gravy was cold (turns out that they didn't even turn on the warming tray to keep it hot????) Had to ask for things to be refilled. -- HEAT LAMP DID NOT WORK! In one room the heat lamp in bathroom did not work.

When my wife and I were looking for a place to stay the night before taking off for a trip, we figured the shuttle would be nice and that hopefully the hotel was half way decent. Boy were we in for a shock...
The shuttle was driven by a woman who I'm not sure should be driving. She wanted to spend more time evangelizing than actually concentrating on driving. SCARY!
As for the hotel... Our non-smoking room reaked of smoke (it probably didn't help that rooms on both sides and across the hall were smoking rooms), and we almost tripped over the carpeting in the hallway when walking in the back door that wasn't locked. On our next trip out of CWA we plan on staying anywhere else in the area.
