Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very nice little inn. You park 10 feet from your room, rooms and bathroom are newly renovated, beds and pillows comfortable, the towels are fluffy and plentiful, lots of little amenities in the room. A little cafe next door makes breakfast easy. Great place to stay!

These rooms are lovely! We stayed in Rooms 1&2. Adorably decorated and meticulously cleaned. The owner was incredibly helpful when our check in time changed. The shower supplied shampoo conditioner and body wash and is beautifully tiled. The beds are very comfortable and had four nice pillows. Don’t hesitate to stay here. We will definitely be back when visiting our friends in a nearby town. Thank you providing for a comfortable place to lay our heads at night!
Also we walked to the nearby Drifters cafe and the coffee was amazing and breakfast sandwiches were delicious!
We will be visiting Wardensville Giana soon!

We've stayed here many times and the rooms are always clean and comfy. The entire process is online and uses smart door access to your room. The door code is the last 4 digits of the phone number entered during registration and is in confirmation email.

Thank you,

We stopped in here for one night on our way to the Smoke Hole/Seneca Rocks area of WV. Our room (#4 King Room) was very modern, well decorated and was the perfect size for an overnight stay. Shower was amazing and the room was immaculate! Towels were very thick and luxurious. It felt like we were in a spa. The bed was extremely comfortable for a great night’s rest and was probably the most comfortable bed we have ever had in our travels. The only downfall was the street noise from traffic all night long, but the benefits far outweigh that one negative…so still a 5 star stay! I would highly recommend a stay here!

Meticulously clean, nicely styled room. Fresh and updated. Comfortable temperature even on a very cold night. Although the room was small, everything was available within a very short walk: great bookstore, restaurant diagonally across the street, and a little coffee shop next door for the next morning. Good to park the car and walk to everything. Easy self check in with a keypad. Great text and email communication. Glad we found this little motel. It would be fun to come back in warmer weather.

Our room was clean and comfortable in this updated motel located within walking distance of everything in Wardensville. Noise was a factor since, like most motels, the walls are thin and this one is right on the main drag through town. I would recommend ear plugs. The motel is operated remotely so there is no management on site. If we needed something (we did not) that might be an issue.

Booked, paid for, and waited outside for a hour for the code. Emailed, called, and text multiple times with no reply. Had to cancel and find another place at 9 30 in the evening. Not a bad place but make sure you have a back up... in that area.... good luck.

Clean Quiet Comfortable Bed Reasonable Rates quick communication

Great 4 night stay. We stayed in room #2 with a queen bed. It was very clean and comfortable. Not a large room but a great stay. Reasonable rates for a great stay. I’d be happy to stay there again.

Unadorned 50’s motel exterior, brand new inside. If you need to spend a night or two in Wardensville, this tiny motel could be your spot. Only four pretty small rooms, but nicely decorated, lovely tiled baths, mini fridge, convenient location. The town has restaurants, antique shops, a great farmer’s market and bakery, and is near many scenic areas. The motel was rescued from oblivion and renovated by the town. No on-site staff, you get a room code to check in and a phone number for questions or assistance.

Tucked away in the little town of Wardensville, is this little 4-unit renovated motel. The rooms are very small but all has been renovated to the highest standards. The bed/mattress was one of the best I've ever slept on! The only drawback is the small size of room, there is no desk just a narrow console-like table and some (very nice!) movable end tables. The bathroom was very upscale, with an elegant (but very small) sink. I was just travelling through (on my way through WV to explore Corridor H) staying for one night so I was highly satisfied. The owner has done a magnificent job converting this place. Note: they use an internet based reservation system, when you reserve the room you get an access code to open the electronic lock on your room .. airbnb style ... there is no office or check-in, you just reserve and when you arrive enter the room, no human interaction required.
The town of Wardensville is a really nice little place to visit, btw I would recommend the pizza at Marina's, it was surprisingly good! There was a mini-fridge but no microwave. Also, remember that this is a mountainous and rural area, so don't expect a great internet connection .. or even cell phone service, my Verizon phone had no signal. But don't let that deter you, it's nice to disconnect once in a while.
