Not too bad, old and small rooms. Staff was very nice. Bigest complaint is that the doors throughout the first floor started slamming at about 7 AM so bad, one after another for over 2 hours. Don't expect to sleep in.

I was excited to visit this hotel because it was so old. And the prices were cheap, starting at 40.00. I purposely took the cheapest room to see what it was like. The new owner is the also the owner of the local auto shop. It is obvious that he has put a lot of money into trying to make it a nice hotel. But I say skip the smallest room which is almost claustrophobic, and pay the extra 10.00 to get a larger. The bed was nice and so was the tv. I liked the fact it had wifi in every room. The only way I would rent the 40.00 room again is if I am alone. I did talk to the owner and give him a few suggestions, and he seemed receptive. I did not make any complaints because you still got a better than average room for the price.

This place is under new management now and probably is better than it was. On the plus side it is very inexpensive, it is close to interesting places to explore in the mountains and it allows pets with an additional fee of $15 a night. None of the other motels in the area do. The place is serviceable at best, at least it's clean. The bed was ok, the shower looked like it was still being constructed (at least I hope that was the reason it looked that way). The sign out front says internet access in all rooms but I could only get it in the lobby. There are long term residents at this motel also, though they seemed harmless enough.

The Park Motel opened recently, and not all of the "kinks" have been worked out yet. Also, you are right about the shower. I spoke with the maintenance person and that will also be taken care of. I had to borrow a space heater to warm the room enough to sleep in. They didn't have it up at all & it took forever to get it warm enough to even try to sleep. Luckily I only needed the room for a couple hours the 1st night as I was going on a bus trip the next day. By the time I arrived back from My trip the room finally warmed up enough to sleep without my coat on. The room was clean but the heat situation really ruined any good vibes about the place

I assure you that if you were to return the new motel would be not only refuge from the storm, but clean, comfortable, and relaxing. Much better than Haitian ruins.

This is the worst hotel I can remember staying in. It was dirty. It smelled bad. There was a dead cockroach laying right in the middle of the floor. All of that wasn’t the worst part. The lady at the front desk was shockingly rude. She was mad at us from the second we walked in. I would suggest avoiding this place at all costs.

My wife made a reservation for this motel as we were coming through after a trip to Charleston, and when I heard that the cost of the room was $42.00, I was prepared for a negative experience like others I have had for a similar price. I was wrong. The room was immaculately clean, the bed was comfortable, although small for two people. The room did not have a phone, but we were given a wake-up call in person by the desk clerk. The shower was clean and the bathroom had nice sundries. The room had a large wooden drawer, a large desk and chair, and a nice television. I really was pleased with my experience, and would suggest that this place is a real bargain for anyone on a budget or who needs a nice place if you are looking for a basic place to sleep. The managers were very nice.

3pm Very nice lady at desk.check in was fast took only a few minutes. Room spotless.it was quite peacefully quiet. great coffee in the morning. Everything was just really great!will be returning!!!!!!

This is by far the worst motel no alarm clock not even basic cable. No hot water,only am coffee air conditioner didn't cool anything,plus stole 60.00 from our card and we proved it and would not return our money or refund us a night because we left early because of this.i do not recommend this motel at all.no phone in rooms . I'm very upset. It's sad when someone steals from you.
