The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. They actually offer a hot breakfast buffet in the era of covid. There is an employee who hands your food to you over a table to limit contact, great idea. Dogs stay free. It's all good!

We had a great stay. From check in to check out we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this location. The lobby immediately gave me good vibes. The vibrant colors and chic light fixtures give this hotel a modern look. The guy at the counter checking us in was extremely hospitable. We didn’t have to go back to the lobby for anything. My room was very clean and updated too. I also love the little extras like having usb plug ins on the alarm clock and light fixtures near the bed. They are also serving a hot continental breakfast. Last but not least my favorite part is the display case of the pictures they receive of happy 4 legged customers. I would definitely stay here again.

This location is above the rest. We didn’t expect the night shift front desk to be so nice and we didn’t expect the breakfast to be done so well. We felt very accommodated. La Quinta hasn’t always given us this same experience, but this location did a great job at checking us in quickly and politely.

I needed a handicapped room. In the first room the bathroom light was not working. It was important to have a handicapped bath with a seat and the first room had that, but a light would have been essential. I had to be moved to another room because of no light. The second room has handicapped rails but no seat so I had to wash myself at the sink. The second room also had ants all over the place. The pillows were little more than paper thin and the bed was squeaky and very hard. Sleep was next to impossible. I could not find handicapped parking anywhere and the trip in and out of the hotel to the car was precarious because the parking lot was in terrible repair — a bad situation for someone in need of mobility aids. There were also little children running around right above the room until about midnight. The breakfast was undercooked. They were also over booked based on what I can tell by having to stand in line for 10 minutes ( whilst handicapped) to switch rooms and the clerk indicated that there were ants in other rooms and TVs that didn’t work which contributed to other guests having to change rooms. The desk staff was unapologetic and generally unhelpful.

I stayed there about 7 years ago and my experience was good, so I reserved a room there again because the price is good and you don’t have to stay in downtown Charleston. Next time I will pay extra to stay in downtown Charleston rather than take my chances. This was a very poor experience and borderline dangerous. I’m shocked I didn’t hurt myself. There may even be some health violations with the bugs and undercooked food, not to mention possible ADA compliance issues. This will be my last stay at a La Quinta Inn. I can think of nothing positive about my stay except for a couple of kind guests.

Tired decor, not that clean, Broken TV, no internet, broken phone.
the ladies and the baby at the front desk were nice, bless their hearts,
but as tired as I was, I had work to do and needed internet. Several trips
to the front desk did not help, at 11pm was offered another room closer to
get a wifi signal, Room 219 was apparently out of range "No, no one else noticed that"
Bless their hearts. I lost out on several hours of work, and was not able to physically move all my stuff to another room with the dog. The rubber play-doh eggs were inedible. I should have continued on to the next town, plenty of better options. La Quinta should be ashamed of themselves. Fox news blaring in the breakfast lobby. The elevators and halls and walls felt old and not clean, in this era of covid virus I would have expected some attention to cleanliness and masks by the employees. Although other people staying here had masks, the employees did not. I will never stay at a La Quinta again.

The room was dirty and dusty. There was a dirt pile in the entrance behind the door, cobwebs in the corners and on the lights, bugs in dust on the windowsill, the exhaust fan was filled with old dust. The buttons on the phone had filth on them. Fingerprints were all over the hair dryer, makeup mirror and desk top so I wondered if this room had ever been disinfected. Toiletry bottles were half filled so they must've been used. Toilet paper roll had been wet at one time. Nasty and gross.

This hotel was nice at one time but has not been taken care of and was so dirty. There were ants in our room, the ceiling was leaking, the tub drain was broken and left laying in the tub. The curtains were ripped and everything was dirty including the coffee maker and ice bucket. I had to wipe all the surfaces down in the room. One of the beds had a bed skirt that was dirty and the other bed didn't even have a bed skirt. The sheets were clean and there were no bed bugs. We were too exhausted to ask for another room after carrying all our luggage in on the animal hair covered luggage carts. We were only sleeping and showering and heading out so we made it work. The breakfast was miniscule and there were Nats flying on and around the food. The chairs in the breakfast are had 2 inches of dust on the wood supports of them and the chairs in the lobby were broken down and stained filthy. Definitely do not recommend room 418.

Ants all over they moved our room woke up to ants all over our stuff along the baseboard in the new room. We did contact the front desk and they told us they could switch our room or refund us. The breakfast was great, as well as the staff. However, the walls are paper-thin. We could clearly hear our neighbors next door. This is the second La Quinta that has been like that. The other was in Indianapolis, by the airport. There was no toilet paper dispenser in an updated bathroom. There was not even a spot where it may have been and was removed. Just like it was forgotten? Also, the shower scald guard was set too high. Even with the faucet handle turned all the way to cold, it was still hot water. Any adjustments only turned it scalding.

Stayed 2 nights, had no issues. Everything seemed clean! Hotel staff was very nice, needed new towels but had missed the room service and the staff brought towels to the room! Breakfast was about what you would expect for a hotel breakfast, nothing special but good selection.
