Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I stayed at this property July 23-28, 2023, in rooms 1202 and 1109. Everything was pleasant, rooms were neat with micro/fridge. I did have unwanted guests in 1202. The staff tried to spray to remedy the issue and it did not help, so they happily moved my room. Parking is good, location is right off the interstate, with plenty of eating options close by. I would classify the property as one a guest would use for the convenient overnight stay to leave early next AM. Breakfast was fine. Staff was very cooperative. Parking lot stayed crowded most of the nights...I would stay here again.

This was my first time staying in Charleston, WV. I looked for a hotel with a reasonable price and good reviews. This hotel is easy to get to off the highway. It is both a Quality Inn and a Comfort Inn (which I don't understand). I stayed in building 3 (which is a Quality Inn building). The room was big with a big bathroom. Towels were nice. I parked where I could see my car from the room's window. The TV had cable. The A/C worked well. The fridge worked. The water was hot, but the pressure was lower for the shower. Luggage carts were available. McDonald's and Subway were easily walkable from the hotel. The bed was comfortable; I slept well. There is a river view behind the hotel (through a fence). Breakfast was in the Comfort Inn building and included waffles, cereal, muffins, toast, English muffins, orange juice, apple juice, coffee, eggs, sausage (links and patties!). yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, milk, instant oatmeal, apples, oranges, and bananas. The only negative of my stay was the room had an odor (not smoke), maybe a strong cleaner to cover up something? The hotel was a little more expensive than I wanted to pay, but I would stay there again.

Quite often we cringe when we book a one night stay on our way to the beach because we don’t know what we’re getting ourselves in for despite always checking reviews. This hotel was a pleasant surprise for us. We were in building 3 on the second floor. Didn’t seem like there was an elevator but that was ok with us.

I was a little confused when booking because I didn’t know if it was a Quality Inn or Comfort Inn. I think the main building is the Comfort Inn and then the two other buildings are Quality Inns (cheaper). We all had the same breakfast though which was awesome. It was the best breakfast we’ve had at a one night stay in a very long time for a choice hotel. Usually they are so disappointing. Beware though it ends at 9:00 and they tear that line down in five minutes no matter how many people are still eating.

My only complaint would probably be the bathroom. It could’ve beencleaned better. We saw hair on the floor along baseboards, tub and behind door and the blow dryer about slipped out of my hand when I grabbed it like whoever used it last had so much hair product on their hand and it was never cleaned. Also, this is the first time I’ve ever stayed at a hotel, where the towels weren’t stain free. I always wonder how hotels get their towels so clean and this hotel apparently doesn’t know how to. You could just tell things were stained with makeup and such. we even got new towels, and it was the same thing.

Beds were very comfy and clean, no bugs. Take a right out of parking lot and maybe 1/2 mile up road is a whole plaza. We ate Mexican but also there is an Applebees and fast food. There’s a McDonalds right at the hotel lot area. So convenient!

This is quite a large complex with 3 seperate buildings. I was in the left building on the ground floor. Room was very clean, pleasant smelling and quite spacious, with two queen beds and all the usual items like air con, coffee maker, tv, fridge, microwave. Bed was comfortable and linens were good. There is also a gym on site which I used, it is very clean with new machines: treadmill, bike, elliptical, some free weights and medicine balls, water cooler etc. the treadmill wasn’t working as the safety key had been snapped off, so that was a bit annoying, also the pool was “ closed for the season” even though it was a 30 degree day (86f) bath/ shower in room had good hot water and pressure. The car park is large and I was surprised how full it was in the morning. The motel is within walking distance of some restaurants or a short drive to many more. Breakfast was good, there were hot items eggs, sausage and more sausage patties, toast, waffles, yoghurt, cereal, fruit, juice, coffee, bagels, muffins and cold hard boiled eggs. Check in and out we’re both quick and easy

DON’T STAY HERE! We thought we were renting a room in the main building but we were placed in a disgusting building with a horrible smell and insect problem! The building is very dated! Smoke alarm kept going off! Rude management! I requested to change rooms and was told I could not change rooms because he had buses coming in. We will change hotels today because I am not getting a shower or walking on these nasty floors! I have killed several spiders already. I can’t take my clothes out of my suitcase because I don’t want them to smell like the room or get insects in my luggage! Drainage is very slow! Choose to drive instead of this place! Especially if they put you in a separate building than where you check in!

Very clean facility. Staff was friendly and helpful. All rooms were full both nights we were there but all was quiet. Breakfast was plentiful. I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking. McDonalds and Bob Evans are within a quick walk. Nice area in back to sit and watch the river.

We had to move rooms because the first one had obviously unchanged sheets. I did not feel better in the second room but it didn't look as dirty. I slept on my sleeping bag on top of the bed. I would not recommend it.

The hotel was spotless, housekeeping is doing an amazing job! The rooms are spacious, and the back of the hotel has a River view. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful. The location is very convenient. There are shops nearby and restaurants.
