Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Based on other TT reviews, we never know what to expect except that the reviews seem to be written by people who expect a lot. It was a nice campground with a trail directly to the beach. Full hookups and sewer. They also have tent sites and yurts. Currently they are improving the campground by adding 30/50/sewer to all of the campsites. Laundry room was clean and machines worked well, however, there are only 4 washers and 6 dryers. It does get busy in there. We will be back.

The campground overall seemed well maintained and we spent most of our time out of camp doing touristy things. We would have felt uncomfortable sitting in the small space between sites as the trailer next to us appeared unmaintained and there was literally trash piled in the windows as I could only guess was for insulation. I would applaud TT for making spaces available for folks who are struggling to make it, but I would also expect given what members pay, there should be a designated area for this separate from normal vacationing spaces.

This was our first stop in a brand new Camper Van. Online check in was easy and the staff at the facility were very friendly and helpful. The RV sites were small, packed together like sardines, but all the hookups worked and there were sewer outlets at each site. The bathroom facilities were utilitarian, but very clean and well stocked. The pool looked very clean and there was a playground that looked well maintained.

The RV sites were pretty full. The campground was quiet, mostly older folks in older RV's with a couple of families with kids in Yurt sites. The location is close to the beach (1000 feet away), Long Beach, and Cape Disappointment State Park, but off the main road by a mile or so, so you don't have a lot of highway noise.

The condition of the roads and parking spaces was bad. There was standing muddy water in potholes. Some of the RV parking spots were so muddy and rutted you could easily get stuck there. Some of the parking for the Yurt sites were under several inches of standing water. This facility could use about 100 cubic yards of gravel on the roads and parking spaces.

This Long Beach Thousand Trails campground is in a great location with a path to the big trail that goes from south of the city to the north following the beach.
If it had been better weather I would have used more of it’s facilities, but it was having torrential rains so I pretty much did everything by car. The camping spots were great and the electric, water, and sewer hookups were well maintained. They even had adapters for electric plug-Ins if their tenants needed them.

A huge storm came through the night before I was supposed to leave. It was still super windy the next morning, so I contacted the corporate office to see if I could extend my reservation another day to avoid the hazardous conditions. They said no, that the space I was in was to be occupied by another camper that day. (There were at least 25 empty sites , so not ok.) They said I could contact the ranger at 10am, but checkout was 11am, so I was stressing ..... I left a message for the ranger, as I sadly realized that corporate will no longer be able to handle any changes since going to assigned spots.😞
To my surprise, someone knocked on my door around 9:30, before the rangers arrive at 10am. It was Natalie from the park asking if I could stay another day because they didn't want folks out in the dangerous weather ......... What? This angel just knocked on my door and saved me! So thankful to Natalie and to my neighbor who found my propane tank hard cover on the other side of the park!

The Staff, the Campground & the Location are excellent. The Grounds are well maintained, the Staff extremely friendly & the Dog Park is the BEST our Pets have had to enjoy so far at any Thousand Trails location. All Sites have Full-Hookup & are LEVEL!!!

Seasonal Pool & Hot Tub are clean and enjoyable. Fishing Charters from Ilwaco, proximity to activities are a huge plus as well. This will definitely be on our Return to List of places to camp at.

this is an older park that has been significantly modified. All of the original drive through spaces were divided in half, with each 1 then generating 2 sites, back to back. The sites were still deep enough to hold our 30 foot RV and leave room for a tent at the front of the site. By cutting the spaces in half, though, the park then had to add power, water and sewer connections to the newly created sites so half of the sites have the power/water/sewer hookups at the left rear of the RV, and the other half have them at the right rear of the RV. the park is a short walk from the beach, which is absolutely beautiful, and paralleling the beach is a paved hiking/biking trail that was 1 of the most scenic I have written that runs for miles. The park itself is quiet and well-maintained generally, and the staff is very friendly, helpful, cooperative, and responsive to your needs

Long Beach has a great crew, and everyone is so friendly. 4th of July week the staff goes above and beyond to host a pancake breakfast bar one of the days, and it was delicious with so much to choose from. Also, during our stay deer literally walked into our camping area, this is how peaceful it is and beautiful.

Highly suggest you look elsewhere if you’re looking for a park with more personal space between RVs. Lacks amenities for a TT “Resort”. WiFi was not included but luckily we’re always prepared for that possibility as full-timers. I’d say if you’re looking for basic, this is it. A nice trail to the beach and a place to park.

The yurts have a ceiling light inside along with a ceiling fan, they also have a heater inside, and one receptive inside, so you can plug 2 items into it. The mosquitoes are an issue, but our mosquito spray made it tolerable, having a yurt will provide more protection from mosquitoes. Firewood is available from the campground host, i believe they also sell a few other basic items to, the campground staff are very nice. The roads in the campground are dirt and gravel, bikes can be rode on them. Take the bikes on the trail that lead to ocean at campground, just a 5 minute bike ride to an even better riding trail, with view. Have fun.
