This was a really nice experience. Though my kids had some trouble with mean kids at the playground they have it was overall a good experience good pool, good store, very nice staff and for Memorial Day they had a little parade that kids were able to participate in they threw candy and had glow sticks. We stayed there for 5 days and the owners were very nice we went with two families one with an rv, one tent camping, and one stayed in a cabin. The cabin was really nice it was warm and clean and had a kitchen the rv experience was nice aswell. Tent camping was good aswell we camped by the rivers and it was beautiful. A worker at the corner store they had payed a dollar for my kids because they were a dollar short which was so nice of the worker to do that. The pool was heated and fun for my kids and it was overall a good wonderful experience

Our first night was lovey, it wasn't too crowded and we loved being on the river. There was something wrong with my reservation that I made, hookups on wrong side. The gentleman in the office gave us a different site and was very nice about it. The second night was ok as it was crowded due to the 4th of July weekend. I didn't like being so close to the pit bull camping next to us with our small dog. We would definitely stay here again off season.
We got take-out from the restaurant, it was decent. And large portions, we had the fried chicken and the fish and chips.

Family reunion - some tented, some rv's and some used cabins. I personally loved all the cabins. Clean, fun outdoor themes, bedding was very clean and comfortable. Cabins stocked with everything we needed. Staff was very friendly and helpful whenever we had questions. We were disappointed to see prices had gone up so much this year but at least we had a great trip there. (Do beware of wind blowing, especially if not using the cabins as the end of the campground got extremely cold and windy in July).

Well, it certainly seemed ok at first, if you are driving a rv in, there is no septic dump, no grey water dump, no wash room facilities if you wanted to do a load of clothing . If you expected to have a visitor stop by to have dinner or visit you for a few hours, they charge five dollars per person and five for their vehicle . They are deceptive , by not mentioning this before you make reservations. It is certainly not a resot and watch everything like watch dogs. I actually give zero stars, we drove hundreds of miles, I believe they false advertise, Not a resort . If you want to cancel your reservation , you need to call two weeks in advance or they still charge you,

RV spots are too close together to enjoy camping here. It is right on the river but I don’t recommend camping here. The staff was friendly. The cabins look nice. Due to the shared power and water hookup I had to purchase an adapter and extra water hose to reach. We won’t be camping here again. Not horrible but it’s not worth the money or time.

After RV camping for decades, have decided this resort ranks at the very top. Beautiful grounds on the Naches River on the eastern side of Mount Rainier. Quiet (the highway is restricted to non-commercial traffic), clean and wooded. Campsites are large and not closely spaced. Staff is friendly and folksy. Internet is excellent within 300' of the office.

We made reservations for this place a long time ago over the phone. No receipt ever mailed to us. We had severe weather last night, so we cancelled the reservation. We called today at 12pm to cancel our reservation for tomorrow. They insisted that they are still charging us. BUYER BEWARE. THE OWNER ALSO CURSED AT ME OVER THE PHONE and SAID "YOU PEOPLE ALWAYS THINK YOU CAN CANCEL AND TAKE MONEY FROM ME". This is OBSURD. Myself, my in-laws and our friends will never book there again.

We arrived to a very unprofessional front desk lady with stains all over her clothes, she was very flustered and we felt as though her attitude was 'give us your money and git'. She had us booked for four sites, we needed only two as we were travelling with our parents. Once in our RV sites we found my in-laws had no picnic table and the person next to them was dumping their sewage in a portable container. Our site only had one 30 amp plug in, and the person next to us was already plugged in. While they had WiFi it was 'iffy' at best. You could only get a connection outside sitting in a certain area and it would drop every few minutes. The next day we went to shower and both the men's and ladies' needed some tending to. I found the ladies to have a terrible smell, couldn't place it, but it was NOT pleasant. The stall did not lock (just a shower curtain) and when I was drying off if someone had opened the door the whole campsite could have had a nice peek!! I was not comfortable having a shower!! There was only one mens and one ladies toilet stalls, so if you couldn't wait to use it, you had to use the PortaPotty. But what put an early end to our stay was Karoke Friday night (it happens on Saturday as well, we didn't stay!). We came back to our campsite shortly after 6:00 and the music from the adjacent restaurant was BLARING country music. While that was annoying enough the Karoke started sometime around 7:00 and went on, at a VERY LOUD decible until 11:15. And it only stopped then because my husband went over and asked them if they could shut it down as my kids couldn't sleep. The music started again the next morning at 10:20AM...that's when we decided to pack up and leave. Granted, they 'made it right' and refunded us the night we didn't stay. We wish they would have let us know beforehand that is what goes on the on the weekends...we would have made other arrangements. If they want to run their resort as a 'party' destination for the weekend that's great...just warn people! Our idea of camping is a little peace and quiet, the only noise at night being the river rushing through....not people doing their 'worst' impression of Brittany Spears!! My in-laws have traveled thousands of miles over the years and they both agreed this was the worst place they had ever stayed. Although we haven't traveled as many miles, I would agree it was the worst place we've ever stayed as well.

After reading some of the Review's from other people, I'm a little shocked as to what they have said about Squaw Rock Resort.. This is a older Resort, and in the Three years that I have been going their, I have seen a dramatic Change..(For the Better).. They do say that they have WiFi and I did take my Laptop with me, I did have problems keep a connection, but heck I was their to be with Family and Friends, not spend my day Surfing the Web. (People need to get back to the Basics, and leave the PC's & Cell's Home, Spend some quality time with the Family).. After reading other people's review you can always tell when someone has their "Underware in a knot, and find something to complain about"

We had our Family Reunion at Squaw Rock and it was "GREAT" the Staff their was extremly helpfull and polite.

The only complaint I have is the Other People Camping.. Several times People would not respect my Camp Spot and walk right through.. It pissed me off and I finally told some people to quit walking their Dog through my Camp Spot and walk on the Trail..

My Family once again Booked out the park for our Yearly Family Reunion..

Been going here for 4 years and our family of 4 loves it still; this summer will be our 5th time. While we know that ownership has changed multiple times over the years, and there have been some continuity and managing issues, you still can't beat the river, the family environment, the warm pool, and nearby Bumping Lake! And yes, the campground bathrooms and showers could be improved a tad, but still, great!

They are open as I just called but they have a new number: (509) 658-2800. If you booked a reservation last year you need to call and speak to Leanne. The reservation book is "missing" so she is giving people who had old reservations a chance to call and re-book before she books new reservations.

My rating below is reflective of the campground over the four years and not reflective of the last owner, the one before that, or the one before that. It's cumulative! : )

This gentleman knew the cancellation policy, and blew up when it was mentioned. He and his family ended up staying the weekend anyway, and all seemed fine. Not sure why this review remains. This 'owner' is no longer here. Give us a try. We would love to show you what Squaw Rock has to offer.
