My comment is that I made reservations for July in January. Family issues required me to cancel my July reservation in February. I was charged $11 cancelation fee. I don't see this policy any where in the website or was it mentioned to me. This is upsetting. Especially how early I cancelled.

The park is nice. Good ammenities, when and if they are open. COVID is dictating a lot of it. The ONE thing they could control better is the noise of the guests. Its past quiet hours and the group behind us have an outrageous fire, loud loud loud voices, and even louder music. I will stay in the upper level next time. Phase 2 is ridiculous.

We stayed at the resort for 2 nights. My brother and his family in one cabin and the rest of us in another. A tip - reserve the cabins next the main clubhouse. My brothers cabin was further from the clubhouse, under tree canopy. It had a distinct overwhelming musty smell and a couple of the windows were retaining moisture (bad seal). My mom and I couldn’t stay in their cabin long as we'd start sneezing. Mosquitos were bad at his cabin so bring spray. Ours near the clubhouse did not have this smell and the view was amazing. You need to dump your own garbage and also clean the kitchen floor (per rules). Our cabin also had a few mystery stains on the carpet (ick) - needs to be removed. The futon has also seen better days. We covered it with a sheet as I would not sit on it otherwise. It would also be nice if we gotten 3-4 towels, not 2. All in all, for the amount of money you pay for the cabins, I expected more. 2 stars for the location though.

Love this place! If you want to feel like you are camping in the woods rather then camping in the city this place is great!!! We have full hook ups for the week for our 40’ rv backed in to a nice woodsy spot. The bathrooms have been cleaned daily and stocked. We brought our truck and boat also and the staff was great to accommodate our extra parking. There is a fish cleaning station on-site so makes it easy to fillet your fish and bag it without having to wait in long lines at the ramp. We are coming back in August for another week to do it all again. The kid and dogs have lots to do here.

Camp personnel came up and stated I needed to come up to office so they could charge an extra 20/night for a children's tent that was in front of my 20ft trailer. I'm already paying for the site and the kids just wanted to "camp". The dogs next door barking all day. A trip that should of been enjoyable and peaceful was complicated for no reason.

Last year we stayed in a cabin - it had all full kitchen so I had planned meals to cook while we were there. The first day we were there we had checked in dropped our stuff off and got to the marina and didn't come back until 7pm or later. I went to cook dinner and the gas oven would not ignite. The next day called the office for it to get fixed. A gentleman did come halfway thru the day and fixed it - it worked but not well.
This time different cabin, we did the same checked in and went to the marina came back in the evening it was on the cool side so we tried to turn on the heat. It didn't work. My husband opened up the unit to try and make it work, he couldn't get it to work. The next day I called in to get it fixed. She said she would have someone look at it. Came back that night - still no heat the next day when we checked out she sounded surpised that it wasn't working.
When dealing with the main lady in the office she is not the most helpful. Each time I ask for help it is almost as if I am annoying her. I am the customer and pay good money to stay at her establishment. They have signs that they will dock us if we don't sweep, take out trash etc. Why can't I dock them if I don't have heat or a stove durning my stay.

The wife will disagree with the 3 star, but she can write her own review. Let me preface this with the statement that we came here kind of blind as a family member made the reservations. Not their fault, as they don't normally look at online reviews.
So... We arrive with the knowledge that previous reviews (TripAdvisor) said the staff was an angry old hag. We entered a nice clubhouse with a beautiful view of Ilwaco and the Cape. The gent behind the counter was VERY nice. He then informs us that he's new there. (Hmmmm. Wondering if the Sea-hag has been deep sixed). We get our keys for our cabin and comprehensive directions and instructions, and off we go.
We open the cabin door to....my mothers basement. It looks alright, but there's a distinct swampy musty thing going on. Wife is NOT happy. We considered trying to get a different cabin, but they are all pretty much the same as we were in the middle of a rainforest. Having spent many trips to this part of WA I am acutely aware that it is what it is. The area is damp and musty, and that's just the way it is. None of these facts helped make the wife like it any better.
The bed was pretty beaten down and we tended to roll into the middle. Bath tub/shower had mildew in the jets (jetted tub). Furniture had taken a pretty good beating. The place was SWARMING with Mosquitos so bring your DEET. There are bathrooms in the cabins, and there are also on site bathrooms/showers (they were well used but clean. I could smell the bleach when I entered). There are also laundry facilities (laundry only open 9-5pm).
Now with all that being said, it is in some pretty thick beautiful woods with wildlife all over( had a long stare down with a 300+ lb black bear 25-30 yards away...interesting experience). It is coastal rainforest. And it appears most of their business comes from RV users. So I took that into consideration when I graded it. It certainly isn't for EVERYBODY. I've stayed in much worse and paid more. I may not be the best judge since I'm perfectly okay with laying on the ground wrapped up in a sleeping bag and a tarp, covered in DEET. To me it was okay. Could've been better, but wasn't horrible.
When we checked out I asked about the odor. A nice lady told me that was normal for the cabins down in the woods, as the moisture never really dries out and the musty smell (and moisture) come up from the ground and into the cabins. She DID advise me that the cabins up on top near the clubhouse (great view BTW) do not smell musty. So something to consider.
Nearly everything in this area is overpriced. There are a few exceptions to the rule, but in general don't be surprised if something has a ridiculous price tag.
I suggest buying firewood down in town. All the places are about the same ($10 a stack). The little bundles at the office are pretty small and are $5. Bags of ice are also $5. I think pretty much everything extra is $5. Might be cheaper if you're a member, I dunno.
I would go again for a "camping" trip or use it as a spot to pitch my tent. Staff I dealt with were nice and friendly, and in all honesty it wasn't that bad.

We reserved and paid in advance for an RV site for eight days ending Labor Day 2016. Five days we had such low water flow we were not able to take showers or wash dishes. Each day the office staff assured us the problem was almost resolved. They had their maintenance man working on it, but I believe they never called a plumber. On day 4 we informed them we would be leaving on day 5. Because it was a holiday weekend, I am sure our space was rented out. A refund for 3 days was requested. Follow up calls were made to the corporate offices. No response as of this date, so we intend to dispute this through our credit card.
We have enjoyed camping at this resort for twenty years. Never again. The cable never works. The pool, jacuzzi and showers are filthy and in disrepair. The camp areas are overgrown and the trees have broken, hanging branches. The fish cleaning station structure was leaning sideways. There were no big storms this summer....it is just a terribly neglected place.
We are so disappointed that we have to go elsewhere next year. I wish I had taken photos. This is the first negative online review I have ever written. Honest!

This "RV/Camping" resort should be avoided at all cost. There is no adequate running water, of course the nasty blonde in the office isn't going to tell you that at check in. No running toilets or showers. Advise: don't do your business unless you're prepared to possibly overflowing the toilet. As far as shower..what a joke. Before you undress make sure you have water and it stays on for more than 3 minutes. Or you take a chance of leaving the shower room with more soap on than you'd wish for. But don't expect to rinse off in your own camper as there's no water pressure. Unless you've filled your on board tank. Don't bother complaining especially to the blonde hateful woman in the office she has no sympathy for you or your family. As she'll tell you "well, you are Camping".. yep I am but I expect to be able to use what I'm paying for ... WATER.. this place is beyond gross, major neglected on the grounds, trash in or around campsites, bathrooms. But hey the bears love it. Until the water issue is fixed this campground needs to be SHUT down!! Immediately.
