We were there for 5 nights and room was never once cleaned. We had to ask for clean towels and were told they were out of clean towels but did get some later in the day. New hotel just poor housekeeping.
I read other reviews of this hotel that were dated back in the beginning stages of "COVID." They made comments about staff not wearing masks. Now we are hopefully geetting away from the need to "mask up" since CDC says they aren't necessary for vaccinated people or those with anibodies, but every staff person we saw had one on and I wish they would take them off. I'm tired of MASKS! Anyway, the hotel seemed clean, pretty new, bed was comfy, but we booked a King room about 5 months in advance. When we arrived around 6:15p we were told that they had "oversold" the King rooms and all they had left was a Queen bed. (It turned out to be two Queen beds, so it worked out okay.) We had to go back down to the front desk later because one of our keys didn't work and I heard her check in another woman after us, and she was placed in a King room. So..... I'm not sure about their policies for when they book rooms, but something wasn't right about this situation. Another disappointing thing about hotels and COVID, is that they all say they are providing "breakfast" but what you get in many is a "grab and go" bag of some kind, not the breakfast they used to serve.. We know it's possible for them to serve breakfast because every once in a while we run into one that just has a server get you what you want from the breakfast options they have alsways offered. It has worked well for those that try it. Thesse "grab and go" things usually don't even give you the option of what you get in your bag. So if you don't like it, they food is wasted. This hotel at least gives you some options which you will choose from a sheet they give you when you check in. They prepare the bags and you pick them up in the morning. If you chose a breakfast sandwich, be sure you plan to heat it in your room as it's cold when you get your bag. This hotel is on the edge of an office park and the area is very new. A few blocks down was a Costco store with a gas station, so it's convenient to fill-up.…
We stayed several nights in this hotel to visit our daughter and family who live in Camas. We travel a lot and often stay in Holliday Inns. This one is brand new with very nice spacious rooms and very nice staff. We may stay here again. However, We stayed during the pandemic and were quite shocked that no staff wore face masks and were often huddled together chatting. There was a plastic shield at the front desk but frankly the staff did not seem to be trained in how to take required precautions. They were all very friendly so I blame the management. We even had a staff member, un masked, join us in the elevator after I indicated I would be more comfortable if she would not. I hope that this situation changes soon as we did not feel safe. Otherwise it’s a lovely hotel.
I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express for two nights in early January and it was a very pleasant stay. They hotel is fairly new with many modern design elements and amenities in the room to make for a comfortable stay. The common areas are well decorated and the free breakfast was better than most. The staff was very friendly and helpful with advice. The hotel is walking distance from a number of restaurants and bars in the area. My only areas for improvement with this hotel are to improve the water pressure in the shower and also to allow for a hotter water temperature in the shower. Would definitely stay here again.
We had a long day of driving and we needed rest...... looked up hotels on our phone but decided to just walk in and see what they had. To our surprise we got the room cheaper with our AAA card then any of the "discount " sites. It was a good call very nice front desk clerk helped us right away and the place is so new and nice. Clean lobby clean rooms great full breakfast. Water pressure was a bit on the low side but I am sure it has to do with water saving fixtures. Over all really good stay.
