A great little retreat for the weekend. The chalet was a little tired and not as clean as it could have been but was comfortable and well-equipped. Our dog was welcome. It was very handy to town as it was just a short walk. The manager and his wife were very friendly and welcoming. It was great to be able to pick some ripe grapefruit from the trees outside and eat for breakfast,

The chalets are great, each one is separate from the others with orchard ad garden views, making it private and secluded. The chalets are well appointed with nice couches and fluffy towels. The chalet has a heatpump, not that we needed it.
We picked fruit from the trees and the pool was beautiful and warm, even in November.
We walked to the neighboring bakery for a coffee and then strolled in to town. Later that night we walked to the Italian restaurant next door.
This was such a memorable stay in an amazing town.

We were greeted by a very pleasant and helpful owner who did all thgt is possible to make our stay enjoyable. The chalet was very comfortable well maintained scrupulously clean and blissfully quiet. We will make sure that next time we will spend more time there. It is within easy walking distance from restaurants and the centre of Kerikeri. I cannot recommend this motel highly enough. Thanks to Paul and Jo for a lovely stay. We will be back. 10 out of 10 our rating.

This place is super cute and the owners are the best. Easy checkin. Yummy food nearby. Dreamy little kitchenettes. Avocado and orange trees are everywhere. The flowers around the yard were gorgeous! Great location.
Catch a Cape Reinga tour. The tour bus picked us up next door at the Kerikeri bakehouse for a dreamy day trip to the north.

It's not often that I stay outside of chain hotels, but rural travel requires this sometimes and KeriKeri is definately rural!
Kerigold Chalets came up on Google Maps when searching for a three night stay while on business in NZ and it's location was good for my requirements. On arrival, from roadside the place doesn't look much and had I been a drive up, I probably would have kept on driving - first impressions count.
I was very surprised after checking in to drive through an orchard to get to my aptly named secluded chalet. Sure there are neighbours, but the chalets are stand alone and with enough beautiful fruit trees to provide privacy.
I enjoyed fresh oranges - I picked them from a tree overhanging my patio, there were lemon trees full of fruit, mandarins and avocado trees everywhere - it was magnificent.
The chalet itself was well appointed - a useable kitchenette, smallish fridge which didn't bother me but a longer stay would have forced me to shop numerous times, the bathroom was ok, bed comfortable but the pillows like wafers (BYO pillow if staying a while).

The chalet was superb and the site super. The location regarding the town centre and shops is very handy.
Staff went out of their way to catch up with us following an item we left behind.
Would thoroughly recommend if wanting to stay in the area of the Bay of Islands as easy access north and south.

This is the best accommodation we have ever found anywhere! A lovely secluded chalet in a citrus grove - who could ask for more. The chalet was spotless, comforable, quiet with good bed and complete kitchenette. We enjoyed the birdsong in the morning and the well maintained gardens. It is walking distance to the shopping areas and next door to a marvellous bakery and info centre. 2 nights were not enough - we'll be back.
