Wow! What a find! Tania and Troy have created the perfect place to hang out in the Bay of Islands. We stayed here for 6 nights and could have easily stayed longer. The lodge is tranquil, so quiet and relaxing. The large room is spacious, spotless, with crisp white linen sheets and all the amenities you need. The garden is beautiful, a haven of flowers and birds. The pool is the perfect place for a lounge in the sun and dip. And the morning croissants on our door made the perfect brunch. Troy and Tania go out of their way to make you feel welcome, help you make the most of your stay with great recommendations and leave you in peace to enjoy your stay, the perfect hosts. We will be back. This is a gem of a find. Thank you to both of you for making our stay so special.

Kia ora Ruth and Christopher, thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review for us, I know it will be helpful to potential guests! It was awesome to read that you thoroughly enjoyed the way we do what we do, at Pateke Lodge! I also think Kerikeri was definitely a great place to base your action-packed holiday in the Bay of Islands! We will be very pleased to see you back again any time :)

We have just finished a week’s stay at this delightful lodge.
We stayed in the Takahe suite. A large room with its own patio onto the lovely sub tropical gardens. Having extra space and air conditioning was well worth the extra cost. Spotlessly clean and a very comfortable bed.
Tania and Troy are superb hosts serving an excellent breakfast with plenty of choice.
We think we have stayed in around 16 lodges on our NZ visits. Pāteke Lodge is certainly in the top 3 on our list.
We left feeling very relaxed and rested after our flight from the UK.

We had an excellent and relaxing stay here and Tania was a delightful and welcoming host who gave us great recommendations for restaurants and places to visit.
The room was immaculate and very comfortable with lots of lovely touches and the gardens are stunning. Breakfast was brought to our room and was delicious. Highly recommended.

As perfect accommodation as you can get. Clean, new, scenic, tranquil. Tania and Troy have created a perfect space accompanied by great service and sense of place.
Great choice of breakfast wonderfully cooked, eaten on the veranda beside a pond with tropical plants. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again in the future.

Pateke Lodge is set in a beautiful lush garden a short drive from Kerikeri. The hosts are amazing, I was having to leave early the next morning so Tania prepared a breakfast and delivered it the night before. The pool and spa were lovely at the end of the day. Nice little touches in the room like special teas and ground coffee. Very comfortable rooms. Cannot fault this place, look forward to returning soon

Thank you for the hospitality during our visit Tania and Troy (and Jack the Cat)
We were extremely thrilled with the warm welcome and amazing hospitality. The guest room was great and really enjoyed being in a boutique country setting.
My wife and I believe in supporting locals and their community's who provide Kiwi hospitality. The breakfast was amazing along with the peril droplet tea. Thank you again for welcoming us warmly into your harmonious Lodge

We loved the welcome from Geoff and Chris; we loved the comfortable room and en suite; we loved their local knowledge and advice; we enjoyed the peace (property is down a short unsealed road) a little out of KeriKeri, but only a few minutes from shops and restaurants. The breakfast was perfect for us and the home made croissants are the very best. Everything was great - THANK YOU.

Just wanted to take some time to say a huge thanks for a lovely stay at Pāteke Lodge recently. Myself and my colleague booked for a work trip last week and found the rooms and bathrooms were carefully appointed and comfortable.
While we don't usually stay in bed & breakfasts, Tania and Troy's skills in the kitchen were also well received. Excellent hosts and very friendly without being in your face.
Would recommend for short stay couples too. There was a lovely pool area too.
It's about 10 kilometres away from Kerikeri township, not too far for amenities.

Our stay at Pateke Lodge was just what we needed to start off our NZ travels. Beautiful setting with an amazing garden, a great opportunity to relax in thei hot tub too. And when I forgot my kindle after checking out, I immediately got a call so we could head back to pick it up. So no disgruntled driver or friends! Thanks so much for everything!

We had a wonderfully relaxing 3 night stay. The room is so clean and stylish with lots of lovely touches and the bed is very comfortable. The gardens are lush and beautiful and we enjoyed a very relaxing hot tub. There is also a pool. Breakfast each morning was delicious and delivered to our room. The location is convenient to restaurants and local attractions. Thank you Tania and Troy. We would love to return one day.
