Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a lovely two days staying here. It's incredibly beautiful place and we really appreciated the little tour when we arrived. The first night we were the only campervan and had an amazing time with pretty much the whole place to ourselves. The second night 3 other campervan arrived and they were parked about 2 metres away from us. Although it was totally fine it was such a shame as there was lots of little pockets of space around the site that they could have been shown to. We were non-powered and value space and quiet. Will totally go back but will make sure it's a quiet out of season weekend or will book one of the bookable spaces.

Thank you for hosting us, we dropped in without a reservation- lovely to stay a few evenings with you in the darling gypsy caravan. Splendid setting. Outdoor tubs with starry skies above a brilliant gift to enjoy. Can’t wait to return, maybe host a wellness retreat?

Travel with several couples and families, the place is stunning. The glamping is a bit overpriced, they cut costs in the details (i.e cutlery, crockery). The premises are well maintained. Booking was an issue, they mixed up two families. Mistakes happen, but there was no apology or recognition of it, we felt blamed for what it was clearly not our mistake. The lights are off at 10 pm sharp, no warning. It would be nicer to know this was happening, we were 6 couples, plus children, having dinner and were left in pitch black. Hard to clean up in the dark! It’s funny, because this place has strong connections to budhism. A bit more friendlyness would go a long way.

This place is an incredible campsite only 5 minutes drive from central Kerikeri. We have a young baby and had a permanent tent right be the river. The staff were amazing and had even set up a bed for our baby. Perfect place to camp if it’s too hard to cart your own tent around.

Decided to stay here before we headed to Cape Reinga... I think there are better places to stay if your going to pay 50$ for a powered “site”. We we literally placed next to a hedge row in front of a cabin parked right behind another car. No privacy.. Small kitchen. HOT SHOWER :) The owner was lovely. Offered good info of things to do around the area. I will say he told us not to go to Cape Reinga, I’m glad we didn’t listen to him because that place is beautiful!!! We didn’t venture around Pagoda lodge so it may have been nicer to stay for a few days...

My partner and I spent 2 nights camping in the grounds of Pagoda lodge and it’s no exaggeration to say it’s one of the most beautiful locations we’ve camped in. The grounds are lush, full of trees and flowers and we loved the eastern aesthetic - very reminiscent of Laos in our opinion! The shaded deck area is great if you want a break from the bright Kerikeri sunshine and the facilities are all really well maintained. The showers were hot and the WiFi was the best we’ve found during our NZ travels. Our hosts couldn’t have been more welcoming and we can’t wait to come back!

A lodge next to the river. You can stay in the room or camp in the tent. Environment is peaceful and green. Better for couples. Sound proofing was poor in the room other than that it was all good. It is on Pa road, close to the walkways. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Loved my stay here. Second time to stay. Great facilities. Lovely peaceful vibes. Everyone is friendly. Great location to local town, markets, trail walks and rivers. Would love more lights around the eating areas or power outlets to charge kindle or phone whilst chilling.

Great place to stay. Very special places - we stayed a couple of days in the boat house, which is a house on top of the river with a great view on the river from the main bed. The location is directly in the nature with ducks visiting in the morning when you do the breakfast outside. Great host that can also give lots of recommendations on what to do in the area. Clear recommendation

We thoroughly enjoyed a recent stay here in our caravan. The subtropical garden setting was very unique and enjoyable to stay in. The deck overlooking the stream is a lovely spot for meals, a drink or relaxation. There are several walks from the campground including to the nearby stone store. The owners are very friendly, helpful and can offer great local tourist advice. Come with insect repellent. The only downside for me was the mosquitoes 🤣
