We arrived at Treghan Lodge intending to stay four nights, but had such a wonderful time that we ended up extending twice for a total of 10 nights! The lodges have been very thoughtfully designed to provide both maximum private and comfort, yet are located just a very short distance from all the conveniences and attractions of Kerikeri and the Bay of Islands. We found Northland to provide the perfect mix of interesting history and beautiful nature, and Treghan Lodge was the ideal base to discover it all. Throughout our stay, Anna and Murray were fantastic hosts who truly went above and beyond to tailor their recommendations to our specific interests, and even went so far as to select books from their impressive library for us to read during our stay! Even after two and a half months in New Zealand, Treghan remains our favorite stop of the trip, and we very much look forward to returning again one day.

From the warmest of welcomes to the fresh flowers, we knew we were staying somewhere special. Everything is done with love and care at Treghan. The luxury cottage was beautifully presented with quality furnishings, a fully equipped kitchen generously filled with an array of delicious of provisions ( many locally sourced) super comfortable bedding and spotlessly clean luxurious bathrooms.
Anna and Murray are great hosts offering fabulous local knowledge but certainly not intrusive. Highly recommended.

My husband and I visited in March 2020, departing on the last day before New Zealand's COVID-19 quarantine was enacted. Our two weeks in New Zealand began in Taupo area and concluded in Bay of Islands. It was our second visit to these areas and third trip to NZ.

I'd chosen Treghan Luxury Lodge several months in advance and never regretted that choice. We stayed in Birdsong Retreat for one week, and we appreciated the space to spread out and to prepare simple meals after two weeks of restaurant food. Every surface of the cottage was spotless, and every detail had been considered - even fresh flowers and snacks. There are books and pamphlets and lists for the traveler. The kitchen is stocked with every necessity, and the breakfast offerings are plentiful. The bathrooms were well-appointed. We lacked for nothing!

I encourage the visitor to stop in at Anna's gallery, which includes a range of beautiful handicraft and art pieces.

Kerikeri has several good restaurants, including two winery/restaurant options. We recommend the Saturday market, too. We've enjoyed local hikes, but my favorite thing is driving in all directions of the beautiful Northland.

Thank you Treghan Luxury Lodge for a perfect stay.

From the moment we booked by telephone we had a good feeling about Treghan. Anna is very helpful and accommodating. We were greeted personally on arrival and shown to our beautiful retreat. Everything you would expect and more was in the cottage, even bacon and eggs in the fridge, fresh flowers, fresh fruit, yoghurts and more.
The bed was extremely comfortable, everything you could need was in the kitchen and the bathrooms of a high standard. Excellent information folder. Everything was perfect.
Kerikeri is a busy town that serves the local farming, fruit growing and wine making industries. plenty of good cafes, restaurants and vineyards to eat and drink at. Good shopping in the main street. Only a short drive to Paihia and the Bay of Islands.

We have stayed at Treghan Cottage a few times as it is so comfortable, modern, spacious and very well equipped. It truly is home from home for us. There is always a good choice of breakfast foods and, of course, Anna’s cookies on arrival; we always look forward to those. It suits us being quiet and secluded and yet very close to the charming Kerikeri for shops and eateries and we particularly enjoy the wineries nearby that serve lovely lunches. This is luxury accommodation in the beautiful Bay of Islands and set within the most prettiest of gardens and providing the perfect place for a relaxing stay. New Zealand has some excellent accommodation for the holiday traveller but this exceeds them all.

Where to start? This luxury lodge topped off our expectations by a mile!
Its location was close to the town centre of KeriKeri, yet tucked away in an abundance of nature filled with tranquility.
The property was immaculate; from our cosy lodge, to the beautiful gardens. There was great attention to detail in every aspect and we especially adored the personal flares which set this stay apart from anywhere else; the fresh flowers and the delicious home-baked cookies were a delight to find on our arrival.
A special treat was hearing the call of the kiwis during the night from our balcony, a moment we will forever cherish.

We can't wait to visit KeriKeri once more; to do some more exploring and to relax afterwards at this truly spectacular retreat.

We stayed for four nights in mid-February and had a wonderful time. Our accommodation was self-contained and first class. Everything was provided that you would ever need in your home. The pictures of the small estate and the living rooms tell the story perfectly.

Treghan Luxury lodge is ten minutes’ drive from Kerikeri airport and five minutes from the town. The surrounding area is well worth a visit and on our first night Anna, the Lodge owner, had pre-booked an excellent restaurant for us.

We spent Easter at Treghan and couldn't have come away feeling more relaxed. The villas are immaculately clean, beautifully appointed and set in a quiet location away from the main road but close enough that we could walk into Keri Keri. The breakfast provisions were high quality and generous. It seems most had been sourced locally which we always appreciate. The onsite Gallery had lots of local/NZ artists work and is definitely worth a visit even if you are just passing through the area. Anna & Murray are gracious hosts and their attention to detail is evident throughout the whole property.

We were warmly greeted by Anna on our arrival who took us to our cottage to walk us through the amenities. The attention to detail and level of thought and care that has gone into every room is lovely. Fantastic breakfast provisions and a well stocked kitchen. Anna was happy to help with information on great places to see and eat at as well as making reservations for us. The location is excellent and we were very happy with our stay. We will be back! Thanks Anna

From the moment I arrived I felt very much at home. I was warmly greeted by Anna and shown around the Lodge. The Home I stayed in was indulgently full of surprises. From the lovely variety of condiments in the refrigerator to the snacks, wine (wine to purchase) garden flowers, along with a warm welcoming card and chocolates personally signed for me and one for my granddaughters whom were joining me in my stay. The natural and eco friendly products to use freely were just as lovely. All the rooms were perfectly dressed and well accommodated. Please do try and stay here, you will not be disappointed.
