A lovely spot to stay, with great facilities and amenities, quaint buildings and wonderful mature trees surrounding the campsites. We will definitely recommend this to our children to share with our grandchildren.

We really enjoyed our first glamping experience in this lovely campground just a short walk to Greytown. The tent was well equipped with a comfy bed, towels, dishes, and wine glasses. The kids loved the local community pool (free entry), which is just beside the campground. The facilities were clean and tidy; Ken was a welcoming and helpful host. We look forward to our next stay and would definitely recommend to family and friends exploring the Wairarapa.

The campground is in amongst lovely old trees, there is a swimming pool with free entry right next door and a lovely kids playground. We stayed in a glamping tent, it had cutlery, plates, tea coffee etc all supplied even a pot ,frypan and wine glasses. We had our own picnic table right outside the door complete with sunshade. The facilities were clean and tidy and Greytown is a short walk away. Great stay🙂

A great litle campground within a large park with native forest - checkout the mighty totara trees! Ken was a welcoming and friendly host. The cabin and amenities were clean and tidy. Just a short stroll into the village central, a supermarket is also close by.

We stayed here over a weekend and stayed in the bigger cabin onsite. I was a little disappointed, I think being Greytown I was expecting a nicer campground and facilities. Our cabin was nice and warm with the heaters, but very basic. We couldn't do much outdoors due to the bad weather. I thought the facilities were run down and tired looking. The ladies showers looked awfully dirty, someone had used one of the showers and there was a used razor and what looked like a head full of hair on the shower floor, I wasn't impressed. At least the toilets were clean. As the weather was bad, I wanted to do some work on my laptop, but I couldn't find anyone to help with signing up for the WiFi and then I would have had to pay for it, which I thought was a bit on the nose. We had a jug and cups in the cabin, and after making a cup of tea, I took them over to wash them in the kitchen and there were tea towels supplied, but they were wet and I didn't like to use them, I felt like I was making the clean dishes dirtier. I wouldn't stay here again.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are glad you noted some positive things about you stay in our basic cabin: linen provided, kettle with tea and cofffe options provided, and heating provided - all for the cost of a basic cabin, which is one of the cheapest accomodation options in Greytown. We are sorry you encountered a dirty shower. Ablutions are cleaned once a day in the morning and are checked at the end of the day, so unfortunately if someone chooses to leave a mess after morning cleaning, we are unlikely to catch up with it until the end of the day unless someone kindly lets us know earlier so we can clean it up. The facilities are in a historic old building of Greytown, which does give it an era of times gone by, and most people appreciate the retro aspect of camping in our campground with the simple facilities, wonderful bush, and with only a 5 minute walk to central Greytown. Wifi can be paid for at the office when you check it, or alternatively you would have seen a wifi hotspot on your phone/laptop that you could have logged into and paid for directly. Yes it does cost money, all of $3 for 10Gb/24 hours, which is a lot more data than compared to free wifi at other campgrounds. Hopefully, you can come to Greytown another day with better weather to enjoy the historic village.
