Hotel's Favourite
This motel was great. Friends and I were here for a wedding and Yvette kindly let us have our rooms well before check in time which meant we could relax and take our time to get ready for the wedding.
We were in a studio room which was perfect. Very clean and tidy.
Also very grateful to Murray who arranged for the wedding coach to stop outside the motel. That saved us all having to walk a bit of a distance.
Location is also great only a couple of minutes in the car to Greytown shops.
Highly recommended. Thank you.

Murray and Yvette know what hospitality is all about.
We are 3 families from Australia and New Zealand who met in Greytown for a family wedding.
We arrived well before the regular checkin time of 2pm.
Yvette was very gracious and let us into a vacant room where we could leave our luggage until our own units were ready.
The units are very well presented- we had sleeping space for 5 with a queen bed in one room, twin beds in another and a spare bunk in the room if needed ( we didn’t need it)
If I ever come over this way again the Oaks Estate will be where I stay.

5 stars fantastic place to stay welcoming hosts clean and tidy modern and just comfy . The beds are great, and pillows to die for so soft, great tv channels all you need sign in to your own netflex, etc

About a 12 minutes into the centre of Greytown (2 minute drive), this lovely motel was comfortable, clean and so much quieter than most as it is slightly off the main road. Helpful service and comfortable. Nice air flow with little decks on the rooms. Highly recommend

A perfect venue for our stay near family. The friendly owners and staff made us very comfortable and welcome, and made sure that we had everything we needed throughout our extended stay. They maintained a very high standard of cleanliness and care throughout and we would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for short or long stay in Greytown

I was greeted like a wonderful 5 star hotel , friendly & inviting . I was shown to my room and then told about the local places for food & historic locations in the region.. The room was clean & fresh quiet and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place if you are ever passing through greytown.

Being wheelchair-bound, it is extremely difficult to find accommodation that meets all the disability claims they make. Oak Estate Motor Lodge is one of the few places that meet all my disability needs, Spacious rooms, a bed off the ground to enable hoist access, large toilet facilities and shower seat, washbasin access, no large lips impeding wheelchair access, helpful warm hosts looking after everything we needed like a spare bed to allow our grandchildren to stay overnight. Our accommodation was roomy, clean and comfortable without the good parking providing easy access to our room.
The owners were very helpful.
The best accommodation we have stayed in yet during our tour of New Zealand.
Would happily recommend it to other travellers.

First impression on arrival was awesome, such a nice and friendly greeting, very relaxed and efficient. We stayed in the Accessible Studio. The park was right outside, there was a table and 2 chairs at the front and a set at the back - great to have a choice depending on the sun and whether you wanted privacy or not. The room was a perfect size for what we wanted in our 1 night stay.
The kitchen was small but functional for our needs, with all the cutlery required to cook our meal. The area around the motel was pleasant to walk around and it was a nice long walk to the city centre.
Our minor issue (which we didn't rate down for, just saying) - the bathroom had one light switch and it was one that turned the fan on at the same time. We understand the reason for a fan, but.... when not using the shower, just the mirror or going to the toilet, it is extremely noisy. Might be nice, even if it is just for when using the mirror, to have another mirror on the wall outside the bathroom if a separate light switch cannot be installed.

Thank you for the review, I am glad you enjoyed your stay. I understand about the bathroom fan, we do have other units that have seperate switches and quite often the fan is not used when people shower which causes a lot of condensation. There is also a mirror in the wardrobe door in the lounge area. I hope to welcome you back to Oak Estate some other time :)
