Nice big themed rooms that are warm and comfortable in a relaxed atmosphere. Right in centre of town and with good service and excellent restaurant for dinner. Third time we’ve been here and we will be back again. Staff are pleasant and helpful too.
Starting with a Warm welcome, service with a smile! We loved the variety in the wine lists, showcasing local wines as well as international. The menu was appetising, and our food was delicious, and generous serving! Highly recommend!!
If you fancy a bowl of very chunky vegetables (carrots and potatoes) with a few prawns and a very few slivers of fish - this is the soup for you. Ok. Was advertised as having root vegetables. But .... in my hour wait for this soup I visualised all the amazing fish chowders I’d had (and had made myself). What a huge disappointment to be served great chunks of carrot and potato that appeared to be quickly whizzed in microwave and added to whatever soup left at 1:45pm. So, uncooked veges and very little fish do not a chowder make. Bread/toast not great either. Yes, I mentioned disappointment to waitperson. I hope he passed on my comments. Surely this is the time for eateries to shine and welcome local diners with superb food in the hope well come back and pass on positive comments. PS. Companions burgers not great either.…
Friendly, welcoming staff. Sometimes very quiet, but a good local atmosphere when it's busy. Open fire. Food and beer better than average, but a bit pricey. However, it's nice to find a place that is more down to earth than some of the more "glamorous" places in town.
Went to the restaurant only as it was the only one of two restaurants open in Greytown on a Tuesday night. Great customer service with the waitress but the food was VERY average pub grub which was grossly overpriced. Would recommend the other restaurant (Indian) even though we haven't eaten there.
