Stayed over the long Easter weekend with friends. We all had individual villas but close to each other. Large comfortable, quiet rooms, bed very comfortable. Had the surprise of continental breakfast included which was above expectations. Offer of a choice of wines at reasonable prices in the villas and complimentary wine tasting at the cellar door.
Staff friendly, informative and approachable with all questions.
Great value accommodation

Pleasantly surprised at the spacious room. Very comfortable. Had air con which was great in the heat. Continental breakfast (just let them know beforehand if need milk other than dairy) orange juice good selection of teas etc. lovely view to sit on balcony and drink wine of an evening. Nice having option of wine already in the room (good idea). Complimentary wine tasting at as far a the wines go my favourite vineyard. The only negative was the traffic noise was a bit louder than anticipated. Loved our stay and will be back.

Stayed in the garden room at the gatekeepers cottage at Margrain Winery, next to the cafe and cellar door.
Lovely big room with a deck looking out at the garden and across to the vineyard.
Check-in office is down the road at the Villas when the cellar door is shut.

We stayed in a Garden room in the renovated winemakers' cottage. The heater had thoughtfully been left on so the room was lovely and warm when we arrived on a cold but fine winter's afternoon. The room was sunny and tastefully decorated with a handy alcove for making drinks and preparing the continental breakfast provided. The bathroom was modern and spacious with a range of toiletries.

Very enjoyable stay in the heart of winemaking country, made all the better by the winetasting next door, included in the room rate! We'll be back in the spring or summer when we hope to book a Garden room again to make the most of the pretty garden the room led onto, overlooking the vines.

We had a lovely stay in the Budget Garden View Villa, so clean and had everything we needed. Our stay included a continental breakfast daily (which was so good) and a free wine tasting. Everyday our room was cleaned and fresh towels put in the ensuite. Beautiful visit.

The room is very dated, complete with blue carpet, blue duvets and a coral coloured tile in the bathroom that features some cracked tiles, water ends up everywhere in the bathroom making it extremely slippery, the bathroom has no extractor fan and the window opens directly to another units balcony. Perfect for them to look straight in! Tv is an ancient 30" which you cant move from its bizarre unit that's half hiding the mirror so its not viewable from the bed and not even in a good position from the couch.

The units are right next to the main road as the road noise is very loud, half of the windows dont have curtains and the ones that have curtains do not block out the light meaning that as soon as the suns up the room is very light. Its like being in a tent!

I wouldnt mind all of the above if it was at a budget rate but over $200 a night, id expect better

Our group of 7 had a fabulous stay in 4 of the villas which were all next to each other. The rooms were spacious and each had a balcony. We did the wine and cafe deal which is excellent value. We enjoyed the wine and gourmet platter, the breakfast provisions were great, the wine tasting was a lot of fun and we had a great brunch at the vineyard cafe. Friendly staff too. Great location, close to Martinborough and all it offers.

Stayed here two nights, spacious, large bed and shower room. Balcony overlooking the range, digital tv and continental breakfast included. Does have a fridge, coffee/tea and also leaves a couple of bottles of their wine in the room for you to drink/buy. 15 minute walk into town and close to their cellar door. After a days wine tasting and walking it was nice to relax on the balcony in the sun

We have been coming here for our anniversary for 18 years and every year it does not disappoint. We love the accommodation, we are always very well looked after. We love the wine from the vineyard and the free wine tasting (by far the best wine tasting experience we have had in Martinborough) - and its great that its walking distance into the 'town' so we can easily visit any of the yummy restaurants. We thoroughly recommend this accommodation and will continue to come back again and again

Just completed a three night stay.
The good- very clean; continental breakfast was good, generous quantities of cereals, juice, toast etc; pretty good hair dryer and nice towels and toiletries. Lovely pillows!

The bad- the bed itself was horrid. The mattress sloped into the middle. When I informed staff I was told oh it’s because there are two singles put together, which provided me with info but didn’t solve the problem.
It’s really 2.5/5, but I couldn’t put 3/5 for accommodation that you can’t sleep in.

No air conditioning and because of the rural setting opening the windows in summer would invite in the flies and Mosquitos. Hope this helps
