Stayed two nights. Peaceful location just on outskirts of town in the countryside. We booked a midweek special in a studio. Spacious, small kitchenette and continental breakfast provisions supplied which were local produce and very nice. Efficient heat pump in room plus electric blankets which are essential in winter. Used the spa which have good mid week specials and very good treatments. Enjoyed indoor heated pool. Friendly and helpful staff at hotel and spa. No housekeeping at the moment due to Coronavirus so hopefully room rates will reduce during this time.
Only reason I gave a 4 star and not 5 was paintwork and room decor a bit tired and I think a revamp will be necessary in next few years. Rooms lacking a ‘wow’ factor.

A return visit to Brackenridge and it didn't disappoint. My friend and I stayed in a two bedroom cottage with our dogs. We were warmly greeted on arrival and at check in were given doggy gift packs, which was a thoughtful touch. The cottage itself was clean and well organised, complete with generous breakfast ingredients in the cupboard and wood stacked up ready for the fire. We enjoyed the peaceful location and the farm animals nearby. Sadly the spa wasn't available at Level 2. Both of us had a good night's sleep, finding the beds comfortable and the cottage warm and cosy. We look forward to a return visit!

Sadly we only had 1 night here as the wheelchair accessible studio was booked out successive nights, but the 1 night we had was perfect. Friendly staff, great studio in a lovely spot. From a wheelchair accessible point of view the studio was great - good bathroom with wet area shower, grab rails where they needed to be. Bed height was good and plenty of space to move around. Only downside was there was no ramp to the outdoor patio and had we wanted to use it I would have had to go around the other studios and across the grass area to get to it externally. However, I never asked if there was a portable ramp that was available. Would do that next time we stayed if longer than 1 night.
reasonable room rate for the time of year and would highly recommend. easy drive or bike ride into Martinborough or to the surrounding wineries, so a great location. lovely and quiet too. it was a perfect anniversary treat for us.

My wife and I recently stayed at this establishment. Our 6 nights (pre-booked) stay was extremely disappointing... the housekeeping was very poor indeed, our unit was basic and poorly furnished and it was none too clean both as to our room and the small exterior patio. We had to ask almost daily for items for our basic Continental Breakfast, our room was not cleaned during our stay and we also had to ask repeatedly for our beds to be made and for our rubbish bins to be emptied. Indeed, when we arrived, both rubbish bins in our unit were full of rubbish from a previous occupant. At no time during our stay did anyone enquire as to how we were finding the establishment... our whole experience was extremely disappointing and we had expected much much better given the amount of monies we were paying for the accommodation. If I was asked to grade the establishment on a 1 to 10 then I would give it no more than a 4 !

Thankyou for your feedback on your recent stay with us. I am so sorry that we did not meet your expectations, it is obvious we feel well short of what our normal housekeeping and servicing of rooms is. Your comments will be addressed with housekeeping to ensure this does not happen again in the future. I am so sorry that your stay with us was so disappointing.

We had a group of 4 couples and had a cottage with 4 double rooms and 3 bathrooms. It was serviced daily and supplied with breakfast ingredients. They need to update property details as it still showed a Spa Pool which has now been removed but the Gym & Lap pool were good. Was a great base to visit many local sights with plenty of eating options nearby.

It was our first time to stay here and would be happy to stay again when they replace the pillows. The ones in our studio room were so limp you would think it was just a pillowcase. Apart from that, everything else was very good. The airconditioning kept us very comfortable and the towels were beautifully fluffy. The water pressure in the shower was also excellent.

When booking our stay the team were really pleasant and helpful. We were really looking forward to it. We were celebrating a really special family birthday and this was going to be a big treat!

On arrival and throughout our entire stay, the customer service was absolutely appalling! We only stayed one night but there were so many errors and problems that I had to sort out throughout the short time we stayed there. At no point during the stay did anyone apologise for anything. I felt like we were an inconvenience rather than a guest.

With everything that went wrong I made a complaint after we left, as our celebration had been ruined by all the admin and issues I ended up having to deal with. Only then did I get an apology but there was no offer of any partial refund, even though they admitted that it had been a bad experience. I feel utterly ripped off to be honest. Such a shame, because the facilities are wonderful and the setting is really stunning. Gutted, but I'll never go back there and I'd definitely not recommend it to anyone from now on.

We stayed here a few years ago and it was great. It's in a nice quiet location, and the beds are nice but that's as good as it gets. It looks like it hasn't been maintained since then: sticky floor, dirty table, broken blinds covering half the windows, ants and cockroaches, no fly spray, kitchen curtain stained and torn.
It would also be nice to have something more than Freeview, two sports channels and one movie - what about Netflix? Neon or even a Chrome Cast? And some bedroom heaters would be good in the middle of winter.

We spent a long weekend here. The beds were nice but we were surprised at how subpar a lot of things were. The couches and chairs in the lounge were really dirty, the washing machine was really dirty and the dryer's timer didn't work, the baby cot they provided was definitely not safe for our six month old baby to sleep in (slightest movement would make it collapse), and there is a hole in the kitchen ceiling with a bucket under it (which was not a toddler friendly solution). We also found a lot of mouse droppings and other dirt under the cushions on the sofa bed. When we arrived there there were dirty dishes in the dishwasher and the lint filter on the dryer was dangerously full.

We definitely wouldn't stay here again, especially for the amount of money that is charged.

Very sorry to hear of the issues you had on your stay at Brackenridge back in April. This is definitely not our normal standards. I can assure you we have since purchased all new porta cots, and we are in the process of having all the couches and chairs being reupholstered in the rooms, along with re painting the cottages. My apologies.

Very dated decor and way overpriced. Standard of the accommodation is nowhere near the price charged. Black mould in bathroom and shower dirty, plus toilet continue to run after flushing.
Breakfast provisions disappointing with eggs provided but nothing to cook them on apart from a microwave.
Substandard at half this price.

Good morning, thanks for your feedback & very sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us. We do offer a hotplate and frying pan to cook eggs on, so not sure what happened there. Will investigate, and also look into the toilet & shower. Thankyou.
