Picked Ocean View for price & location. I had read reviews & a lot were accurate, Clean but maybe in need of a bit TLC here & there. Ocean View is a smallish family run Hotel very friendly both my wife & me enjoyed 16 nights here on a visit from the UK. we had room 20 which was on the 1st floor & only a flight of stairs to get to it no lifts, I am not the best with my old knees but it was not a problem for me. The rooms are cleaned every day & towells changed as you want them always good water pressure & warm when showered. We had a shower over bath & maybe the bath was a bit high for getting into for us older folk but managed .Lovely comfy bed, full size fridge toaster & kettle so not a lot of cooking facilities but cereal & toast in the morning did us & if you want a cooked breakfast lovely bakery with cafe not a hundred yards away & plenty of restaurents & bars near at hand. plenty wardrobe & cupboard space but wife complained could have done with a set of drawers being as we were there a while .We had a sea view balcony with a couple of chairs & table great for sitting having my cigar & watching the sun go down. All in we had a great stay in a good size clean room but in need of a little TLC on the outside of building. Parking sometimes a little tight but room on the front of Motel if it was busy. The location of the Motel is lovely near beach & on Westcoast drive amongst lots of lovely Millionaire Houses. Thanks to Vel & his Family for a good stay.

For the best sunset views try for rooms 6,7, 22 or 21.
Old, but clean contemporary rooms with bar fridge, toaster, tea/coffee making facilities, cutlery and crockery.
We had a warm welcome and open air, unsecured parking was available.
Our "Ocean View" room had ocean glimpses and was of reasonable value.

Great location and the room is well equipped. It's definitely value for money and we would stay again. Shops and everything you need are within a 15min walk and 5 min to a beautifulbeach walk. Bus stops also close by if you needed to go into Perth CBD.

You can't beat this hotel for location. I walked everywhere.! Beautiful beaches, close to all amenities, cafes and Hillary's marina. The beds were very clean, and mattresses were supportive & comfortable. Very good value for the money, considering it's right on the coast. I booked a balcony room which had a lovely view of the ocean. Make sure you mentioned this whilst making your booking as not all of the rooms have that. The balconies are joined and only separated by a wrought iron fence, but that was not a problem for me

This old motel is clean and close to the beach, shops, restaurants and public transport.
Parking is available, but it is in the open and not secured, but the courtyard was well illuminated.
The room we stayed in slept three. It had small two door fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, sink, two burner electric hot plate (in the kitchen cupbards), cutlery, crockery, pots and pans and a small flatscreen TV. It was spotless, with new carpet and kitchenette. However, the tap over the handbasin dripped.
Lighting wasn't good, but almost adequate and it would have been great if the fridge had been turned on prior to our arrival.
If you want a view go for a top floor, West facing room.

I was sceptical when we found this place but the beach across the road was a huge draw card. This is a no frills motel with AMAZING views. The owner is the most loveliest lady who showed a genuine interest in our day and gave us plenty of ideas of where to go.

While i have to ring a number at check inn, the check in was smooth and easy to check inn, staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and tidy, lovely small semi self contained room. 5 minute walk down the hillto the beach, 5 minute drive to hillarys boat harbour. hotel is located in in a quite place,i would stay here again. Only down fall is parking is limited.

Interesting, I have read the negative reviews and find our experience far from negative. Yes it is basic, the beds are very comfortable, the rooms where very clean, the shower, instant hot water and a fantastic output. Fridge clean, my only negative was the TV, I have seen bigger satnav screens than the TV in the room and as it is cheap and small the sound output not good at all. Staff are friendly & helpful. Easy to check in if the office is closed. The price is excellent as is the location. Parking can be an issue if all rooms are booked. I would happily stay here again

Very clean and comfortable room on the ground floor with free parking.Does not have a telephone but most people have a mobile these days. Easy to book over the phone, I prefer doing it direct with the Motel staff. Easy walk to restaurants and the beach.

I recently stayed here for a week. It’s a lovely motel, nice location, basic but clean. Staff were great especially the younger cleaner with dark hair that looks like Amanda (owner), she was very kind and helpful, every time I saw her she’s was working very hard, Val (her boss) did approach her a few times during my stay to pick out things she was forgetting to do or wasn’t doing well enough, which I found unprofessional, I don’t think cleaning all those rooms would be an easy job, but this girl was doing an excellent job with no praise. Would definitely stay again.
