We really enjoyed our four night stay at this hotel. This is far from a new hotel, but it has been renovated into great shape, and it gets plenty of traffic. We loved the location of the hotel and the views from our panoramic balcony room--fantastic scenery over Thunersee and the mountains beyond. The lake boat service (including the antique paddlewheeler) makes it a very interesting locale, as does the lakeside walking path.
Room was nicely updated and furnished--slippers, in-room coffee, in-room mini-fridge, safe, ice available from the bar. No bathrobes, however. I highly recommend a balcony room here because of the dramatic views of the lake.
Breakfast was hearty, but not adequately restocked later in the service period. Dinner at the restaurant was pricey, but that's typical in Switzerland. Free oudoor parking nearby.
Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Two thumbs up for them!!
I strongly recommend staying in the main Bellevue au Lac building. This hotel also offers rooms in an adjacent building, "Stella del Lago by Bellevue au Lac". At this time, I think this is an inferior property and still needs work. The Stella restaurant and terrace are currently closed, and its guests use the Bellevue au Lac restaurant facilities for breakfast and dinner.

We stayed for two night in a deluxe double room with lake view. The view really matched the hotel's name, Bellevue. The room was recently renovated and extremely clean. Its location is great for walking along side the lake. You don't need to take your car since it's close to a bus stop and you can ask for free tickets (i.e. panorama card) during your whole stay. The stuff were really friendly and helpful. The only drawback was the breakfast which wasn't worth the price (12 fr. per person per day) although to their defense, their restaurant was closed during the low season and it was a self-service breakfast. We will definitely return to this hotel whenever visiting Thun/Interlaken.

We stayed for four nights while taking a sailing course on the lake. Our panorama room had a stunning view of Lake Thun and the Alps. The food and service in the restaurant were absolutely fabulous. We especially enjoyed the beef tenderloin (Rindsfilet) and tartar, as well as the very fresh green salads. The hotel itself is older but the rooms have been relatively recently renovated. The breakfast buffet was also excellent, including smoked salmon and very attentive service. If the weather had been warmer, we would have loved to enjoy more of the large garden and restaurant terrace, as well as swimming off of the boat dock. We recommend asking for a lakeside room to minimize noise from the busy main road in front of the hotel.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. The view from our room as well from the patio/restaurant is absolutley stunning. The food and service were also very good. The inside of the hotel was clean but perhaps a touch run-down, and the bathroom in our room was tiny, with only half a door on shower/tub, so taking a shower resulted in water everywhere. The staff was very helpful with extra towels, and given the price, I do think it was a very good value. It's not a 5-star hotel, not a 5-star price, but it was great and the view was more stars than I could count.

The restaurant also seems to have some dedicated clientele , and that’s where they serve the breakfast , though I did not opt for breakfast . The view of the restaurant is also amazing but somehow they don’t keep it very active for open air lunches and open air breakfasts , I don’t know why My suggestion would be to have a bit more international continental dishes in the menu .
Interlaken is 45-50m total time , but this place is to see the beautiful town of THUN which we enjoyed more than Interlaken . With the bus stop just opposite its location is appropriate
The views believe me are outstanding , not just the lake but the green village and the church bell just around takes you to real Old Europe but modern
The rooms are very well set and modern , rains can bring mosquitoes a little and they don’t bite I think
Overall a place where one doesn’t mind going back to
I really want to thank the Front Desk for taking care of every request and even the request of adjoining rooms , very courteous people
Housekeeping also very good and even the bathrooms are very well equipped , you don’t really feel that this is an old hotel , rather that’s the charm old setting and modern inside

This was our second visit to Hotel Bellevue au Lac and again we were not disappointed. Lovely staff who couldn't have been more helpful. Our room looked out over the lake with a balcony where I could have sat all day. The location was very good with a bus stop outside the hotel which had us at the station in 13 minutes. Being by the lake we could hop onto the paddle boats with ease ads there landing stage was only yards from the hotel. Views were spectacular with access easy to tourist spots. The restaurant was a delight and breakfast plentiful and tasty. We sat on the verandah both to eat our meals and also to relax. We dined there in the evening several times and can highly recommend the food. We enjoyed ourselves so much here that we have already booked to return in 2024.

A lovely hotel so scenic , I loved the fact that I had a balcony and a dreamy view, the staff were lovely , rooms were very clean, the beautiful girl at reception was very helpful and kind. We booked 2 rooms as there were 2 adults and 3 children. The only downfall was the breakfast I don’t think it was worth 18 francs there wasn’t much choice, but the view was amazing so it compensates.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff in a stunning location. The side lake view room was spacious, clean and well equipped with a pretty balcony and a fantastic view of the lake. There’s a Migro supermarket within walking distance for milk and other essentials. All in all a wonderful place.

This is an excellent hotel. It’s already my second stay this year. Lakeside rooms have a fantastic view. The food is spectacular and they have a great selection of wine. Very friendly and helpful staff and management. Great hiking area. I will be back.

Modern, comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast. Got a free upgrade to a superb room, thanks for that! The personnel at reception and at breakfast was one of the kindest I ever met. The views towards the lake, the mountains, the nearby church are splendid. Would definitely stay here again.
