Detailed Reviews

Check in is complicated. The same day they send you the instructions to check in to wasa. They give you a code number that you have to enter to access the building. Once inside there is a machine to register. Follow the steps it tells you. It gives you trouble scanning the DNI, and you have to end up typing all the DNI data. It is indicated that there is a 24-hour reception. It is not correct. The apartment as such is fine. The bed is comfortable. The bath linen is made of good cotton. The kitchen is equipped and has all the basics. In the bathroom there is a hairdryer and you have gel in the shower. The sink faucet has such pressure that water comes out. Be careful you get wet. The only flaw I see in these apartments is that you can hear everything and when I say everything it is everything. If you are a light sleeper I don't recommend it. It has bars nearby and is next to the light metro 2, which is one stop from the University of Somosaguas and connects you with the suburban train at the Aravaca station that leaves you in Atocha.

The Oliver is ok...but only ok.
Saved by the really helpful cleaning supervisor and security man!
Check in is automatic by machine after you've received a text message. It works, but after a 6 hour drive you have to tackle " COMPUTER says NO " and only read my passport on the 5th attempt!
The good stuff...
Room was clean.
Location was good.Â
2 minutes walk to train.
Restaurants and bars nearby.
Bad stuff.
Don't believe it when the website tells you about the kitchen!
It's UNBELIEVABLYÂ basic.
No knife to cut a tomato or piece of cheese... no corkscrew... no kettle, no bottle opener.. Totally under equipped.
We were there for 5 nights.
2 adults..Â
We got no replacement bin bags, bins not emptied..Â
2 toilet rolls!Â
1 bath and one hand towel each.
To last 5 DAYS!Â
I know it is self catering... but seriously.. I have never had to replace bin bags or toilet rolls in any accommodation EVER.
There is a washing machine and drier in the basement entrance to the carpark...Â
But who has time on a mini break to wait 1.5 hours to wash and dry your towel daily?Â
Our bathroom floor flooded with each shower so we were lucky!
We texted the invisible receptionist to let them know about the flooding and were sent towels so we could mop up!
We paid the same price for each night..
So in my logic that means we should get the same service every night.Â
The other big problem is the thin walls.
We could hear every word and sound from the neighbours rooms.
There is a cleaning lady on site a few hours a day. She was amazing and embarrassed by the mean attitude of the owners.
They are VERY lucky to have her! Also the man who works on maintenance.
Last gripe.
To enter, one must punch in a 7 digit code...Â
But ANYONE can walk into to building via the car park.Â
In 5 days.. the doors were never closed. Security was a joke.
A bit annoying when we had paid extra for secure parking!!
We chose The Oliver because it was near family we were visiting for Christmas.
For that reason it was ok, but next time we visit them we will stay in a place where the owner is not a miser.
We found our Christmas Scrooge!

Beautiful modern structure of recent construction with all possible amenities. Well-structured mini apartment with large bathroom and a kitchenette that also features kettle and Dolce Gusto coffee machine. Automated check-in and parking available. Only small drawback the distance to the bus stop about 10 - 15 minutes but then in 10 minutes you are in the center of Madrid. It should be noted that it is close to the ZTL and can get there without having to have circulation permits.
