Just returned from a weeks stay here with family. Can highly recommend this hotel, couldn’t fault anything about it!!
The food was abundant, fresh, tasty and varied, thoroughly enjoyed every meal!
We had an apartment and it was clean, bright, spacious and comfy with a gorgeous view of the many pools. 5 of the pools were freezing (to be expected in October) but there is a small indoor pool as well as a heated outdoor pool. Towels can be hired free (€10 refundable deposit)
The water park and farm were closed so can’t comment on those (end of season). The crazy golf courses were set in beautiful surroundings with waterfalls and ponds full of fish. The gardens and grounds are beautifully maintained with resident peacocks and a few gorgeous cats.
The staff were friendly, helpful, enthusiastic and welcoming. The bars were well stocked and service excellent.
Can’t really comment on the entertainment as we didn’t really watch it, but there seemed to be plenty on offer, as well as a good activity package for children which again we did not utilise.
The location is perfect for walks to Cala Millor, Cala bona and S’illiot, there are cycle paths between all the resorts and the hotel hires out bikes for free. There is also a land train, horse and carriage or taxis available just around the corner.

Stayed at this hotel for a week. Due to Corona, there were far less guests then normally,so not all the facilities were open yet and I'm guessing the food choice was also limited.

Despite this the staff was very kind and did everything they could to help the guests.

We thought the park was very beautiful. Especially the jungle pool area. My son enjoyed the pools and the mini golf. I think we wouldn't have enjoyed the pools as much if the hotel was at normal capacity, but in the off season it's great.

The resort was in walking distance from the beach. There was also an area where you could have a nice hike.

However, there were some downsides as well and to me this didn't feel like a 4 star resort because of that.

Although the rooms were clean, I felt that the linen were washed very often and thin, and there were certain things missing, such as a hair dryer, some soap, and a do not disturb sign. The beds were very hard, even with the mattress topper that was provided immediately after we asked for it. But this is of course a matter of personal taste.

The food was hit or miss. Some things were delicious, while other things were undercooked, cold or too salty.

Although we had an all inclusive arrangement, there was only a small part of the bar menu that was free. I would have liked it if more non alcoholic beverages and cocktails were included in the package.

Finally our son was turned down at the mini club because we hadn't booked through TUI Germany, but through TUI Netherlands. This was a disappointment for him.

None of these things were major issues to us, but I think this hotel does maybe not deserve the fourth star. We had a great time though.

Stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks back in May / June as a 4 generation family of 11 from age 3 through to 77 with 5 rooms and can't stress enough how amazing the staff were throughout all areas of the hotel. Rooms were perfectly fit for purpose and very comfortable with plenty of room for luggage, decent bathrooms ect and we had a mixture of apartments, standard twin rooms plus a very well equipped adapted room for my elderly disabled parents who had both rented mobility scooters for the holiday from Nigel at Lower hire east coast who also gave a fantastic service.
The site is vast with plenty to do if you want to get involved and plenty of places to eat and drink with something to cater for everyone. A great range of pools with plenty of places to sit and sunbath or shade if you would rather. My parents said the Asian restaurant was one of the best meals out they had ever had when they went for a rare treat night on there own, even though it was all part of the AI. Alternatively there was always plenty of choice in the buffet and everyone was pleased with the range of options. Location wise its perfectly located for easy access to the beach and local shops, bars and restaurants galore should you want to get out and about and we gave most of them a pretty good try when we were out and again had no issues with anything.
Without going overboard and becoming boring its fair to say that all things considered this hotel provided great value for money and I can't think of anything from the lovely Muni who cleaned our rooms to all the bar staff that wasn't just top notch, we would definately return to the Safari without hesitation and infact my parents loved it so much they have already just this week booked to go back in September this year which is the first time they have ever returned to the same hotel and particularly surprising so soon. All the staff top to bottom were great but a personal special mention has to go to Christian in reception who went over and above on more than one occasion to ensure we all had a fantastic holiday. Thanks and well done team Safari park from the Chater family 😉

After reading mixed reviews which to be fair reflect the plus and minus points to this hotel I am a little offended at the comments that if you have given YOUR honest review (surely the whole point of this site) then you are a 'hater'!!
I Spent a week here with family July 2021.
Good points - lovely, well kept grounds by friendly maintenance staff and large selection of clean pools, sunbeds a plenty, sanitised every morning. food is ok with a good selection at every meal time, though at times a little cold. Rooms are roomy though a little dated and beds and bedding resemble 1980s Butlins. Maid service was excellent. Quality Estrella on tap in all bars and restaurants.

Bad points - Ignorant and sometimes rude staff at reception and some bars. Sanitiser stations were often empty. Entertainment was varied but not really entertaining, though Paul Keenan was certainly worth the visit, that's if you are happy to sit, squashed together like herded cattle during a pandemic. The drinks are the worst I have had at any AI hotel. All machine dispensed and mainly taste of a sickly syrup though sometimes come out as water.
Themed restaurants are poor, cold food at the Tex Mex and the Italian was the worst meal I have eaten in years!
One evening I accompanied my grandchildren armed with €20 to purchase an ice cream, as only selected ices are included in the AI, I witnessed 2 children request a free ice cream only to be told they didn't have a key for the freezer. On asking to purchase the premium ices he pulled out the keys and happily accepted my €20 note!!
I do not think this hotel is value for money, certainly not for an all inclusive holiday, I have stayed in far better for the price, and can only assume that the reviews given recently praising the place are done by people with low expectations and standards.
On reflection if you have spent 18 months living through a pandemic and spent you hard earned money to have a safe sunshine AI holiday then this is not the place for you.
I'm not a hater, I'm just an honest British holidaymaker!!

Staying as a family with an 8yr old for 6nights all inc. on arrival reception staff were really informative directed to our room which was basic but clean. The place was massively overcrowded the pool entertainment was horrific like going back 30yrs loads of shouting and banging music. The food and drinks were shocking, all watered down and served in paper cups. As for the food.. if you like queuing in a school canteen environment then this is the place for you, awful quality, repetitive and hardly edible. Suggests there’s 4 a la carte restaurants which you have next to no chance of getting in even when queuing at 2pm to try and get a table booking for the same evening, the only reason I chose this hotel was the choice of restaurants but instead spent every lunch and evening eating at the awful buffet. The swimming pools were so crowded was unbearable. All sun beds had towels on before 7:30am so trying to sit near the pool to watch my young child was a nightmare. The evening entertainment was dreadful and hasn’t moved on since the 80s was embarrassing really. 4 Star was a massive exaggeration was a low 3 star in my opinion. Sa coma as a resort had nothing to offer other than a nice beach which again was overcrowded with no nice places to eat at all. Such a shame when a 6night trip cost us nearly £3k
Tui reps non existent unless you wanted to booke an excursion of course then you’d get hold of one even then they looked fresh out of school no support for people that had transfers not arrive or needed help. The whole place smelt like an old peoples home too. All in all a terrible experience sadly

We have just returned from our first family holiday with our 5 month old baby and we had a very enjoyable stay.
Our 1 bed apartment was very spacious, spotlessly clean and had a lovely balcony overlooking the swimming pools. It also had everything we needed, kettle, fridge, hairdryer and a cot for the baby. My personal preference is a softer mattress, the ones in our room were very firm but we still slept just fine.
The hotel itself seems huge, there are plenty of swimming pools, including an indoor pool and some children splash pools and all looked very clean and well maintained. They are a bit cold still in May but you just have to take the plunge and jump in. Once your in its fine, we swam in all the pools. There was also always plenty of sunbeds available at all times during the day so there was no need to wake at the crack of dawn to try and reserve one.
There was plenty of choice when it came to the buffet and different things were offered each day. I personally didn't like most of the desserts but the icecream and the chocolate fountain were lovely. Around meal times a snack bar was open which served crossiants, rolls, ham and cheese slices, some cakes etc and drinks and ice-creams.
I thought the selection of drinks soft drinks and alcoholic drinks available was excellent. The breakfast juices did taste watered down to me but this could just be how Spanish orange juice is.
We only ate at one of the al la carte restaurants, La Fontana (Italian) the seating outside is a gorgeous setting for a meal but we didn't really enjoy the food, except for the dessert a large chocolate macaron which was delicious, so we chose to eat at the main buffet for all other meals.
The staff were great, every single staff member we encountered was helpful and polite.
The entertainment was good, something different every night and even my 5 month old baby enjoyed the music and dancing at the kids mini disco.
This hotel has a great location just a few minutes walk from the beach, shops and restaurants.
Overall this hotel was fab and we had a lovely time during our stay. I would love to visit again in the future and would recommend it to family and friends.

Great place for the kids! The pool areas are clean, well stocked with sunbeds and great fun to keep them entertained for hours.
The hotel is generally spotless in all of the communal areas and staff are always easy to find if you need anything.
4 of us in a one bedroom apartment was comfortable enough and we didn’t struggle for space. The air con in the room was a welcome respite from the soaring heat and humidity outside.
Whilst all the food was great quality and plentiful. The settings of some of the eating areas was just too uncomfortable to enjoy it to its fullest. They haven’t really got any provision in place to regulate the temperature, even some ceiling fans would have helped. Whilst they certainly aren’t responsible for the heatwave, they could definitely do more to provide more comfortable areas for when you’re wanting a break from the sun. Even some beer mats would be great!
The inside bar wasn’t open during our stay, we had hoped we might be able to get the benefit of some air con in there, but it seems that it is only open in bad weather…ironically.
We chose the Cardamon restaurant for our reserved meal evening. Again, the food was absolutely brilliant. But, only having the allowance of one reserved restaurant visit we did expect table service, especially with the resort being an alleged 4 stars. Instead, we queued for the buffet as we did any other evening. Also, we couldn’t fully enjoy our experience there due to the heat. Again, some ceiling fans just to move the air about would have helped, it was truly stifling. Whilst that’s great when you’re lounging around the pool, I do expect a little more comfort once you’re showered and dressed for the evening.
All in all, the hotel is really good. The evening entertainment is fun for the kids and the general setting is beautiful. I’d definitely recommend it, but I’d set your expectations at 3, rather than 4 stars.

Arrived at 6am and was met by a 60.00 euro tourist tax wasnt aware of and the man at reception was rude when i asked what and when did that start as i clearly didnt research he said 8 years! I wasnt aware as 3 years ago i didnt pay an i was only along the road.

Room was clean beds were really uncomfortable but somewhere to sleep.
The aircon was poor so had some very hot nights.

One thing i didnt like was the kids club, they had one exclusivly for German children and one for international ones to me was odd and sad as kids should be able to mix no matter what language they speak.

Also dependant to what colour of wrist band you had on you could only eat at one side of the all you can eat buffets even though they both served the exact dinners and lunch and breakfasts. So was very odd an were not really given a explantion to why.

The pools are not as big as the photos, also if you want a sun bed you need to be up early to place your towels down or you have no chance. If you go to the pool at 9am or after no beds left.
One pool was out of use half the time we were there no explanation.

The kids pools are small an the big pools not suitable for kids under 6 when super busy.

The splash park pool is amazing for kids worth a visit. There is a water park that you can pay to attend but NOT worth the money just my opinion.

There is mini golf to do its brill and fun to do we did it of an evening as during the day was so hot.

Food was ok could find something to eat each evening but not a great choice some nights was nothing to my taste. Kids food choice was good so son was happy. Breakfast good choice.

Please if you go make sure you hold your childs or childrens hands when selecting from buffet so many un supervised kids touching and licking an putting food back was discusting as well as kids running around.

The beach is a short walk away you can get a sunbed an locker an sunshade for 18 euros for 2 sunbeds or 5 euros for an extra one for all day. The sea was very sea weedy but nice.

Lots of supermarkets to get anything you forget and a market on in town 14.00 to 00.00 every thursday worth a look.

You can book for 4 al a cart dinners here but we didnt as was booked out.

ONE negative was one of my items of clothing got mixed up with the white bed sheets and when bed sheets were changed was taken and sent to the out side laundry service and it was not returned and the man at reception same man from check in was rude an said nothing they could do. I explained was an expencive item was i going to have it sent to me he said no and i said what about re emburst he said no. Gave me the managers card and told to email her so not very helpfull. But over all was a goood holiday weather was amazing but hotel would be better for older kids.

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. All feedback is very important to us as it helps us to see areas where perhaps improvements can be made. We would like to take this opportunity to reply to some of the issues you have raised: -The Tourist tax has been in force in the whole of the Balearic islands since 2018 and all hotels are obligated to take payment on check in and pass it on to the Balearic Government -Kids clubs are run by TUI, so any query regarding how they are run should be directed to them. - There are two main dining rooms in the hotel, to accommodate the volume of guests. Guests are given a brown or blue band, to indicate which dining room they should use .There is only one main kitchen so the food available in both dining rooms is the same. -There are ample sunbeds around the pools and complex, obviously for logistical reasons, not everyone can sit around the front line of the pool. -For health and safety reasons pools can sometimes be closed for short periods of time. We thank you for highlighting the positive aspects of your stay and if you would like to contact reception directly, they will be able to answer your query about your lost property.

I'm going to try to write a fair review. I'll state upfront that all inclusive isn't for me but as we went as a family of 13, it made sense.

The good.
Every member of staff we came across was extremely friendly. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. The kids splash pool was great for young children. Plenty of decent restaurants in Sa Coma, Cala Millor and Cala Bona. A little land train picks up right outside the hotel and takes you to Cala Millor. The 15/20 min walk between there and Cala Bona is very pleasant.
The kids disco was great for the younger kids.
There are plenty of shops near the hotel if you prefer bottled water.

The bad.
The food in the main buffet restaurant. With few exceptions (freshly made omlettes at breakfast), the food was awful. I don't normally like to go all inclusive but the other 6 adults we were with do and they said it was the worst food they'd ever had at an all inclusive resort. My nephew has a nut allergy and none of the food was labelled adequately allowing him to ensure he chose appropriately. Desserts weren't labelled at all so it was pot luck.

A choice of 4 themed restaurants are advertised. The Asian restaurant is again a buffet, but the food was decent. My husband, daughter and I couldn't get into any of the al la carte restaurants as "they are very small", and the Indian was fully booked for 15 days, as advised by reception.

There wasn't a great choice of drinks on offer at the bar and those alcoholic drinks that were weren't great - they seemed very watered down. My husband is a red wine drinker and the only one on offer was chilled and dispensed via a tap. He ended up buying a bottle at the local shop.

The indifferent
Evening entertainment for adults was hit and miss.

We had a mix of kids ages in our group and the kids splash pool is actually quite far away from the main pool so we found we spent a lot of time moving between the pools. Not a deal breaker but also not ideal when you go away with family to spend some quality post covid time together.

The beach is a 20 minute walk away, not 10 minutes.

We weren't advised to download the TUI app which meant we had to ask what time our airport transport would arrive on our day of departure. The issue was that they didn't tell us this was likely to change up to 24 hours prior to being picked up, so we were an hour early out the front of the hotel with all our luggage. TIP make sure you download the TUI app!

All in all we had an okay time. It was my daughters first holiday abroad and she had a blast but we wouldn't return to this hotel.

The Protur Safari Park Aparthotel is billed as a four start hotel but comes across as a very good three start at best. The facility is a bit tired and is in need of a renovation.

The rooms are kept very clean, are spacious and fairly sound proof but the beds were very not very comfortable, though the children did not mind. The air conditioning did not work very well in our room and they struggled to fix the problem. The staff were kind enough to lend us a fan, which did help.

The food was ordinary at best with a very limited variety to choose from, which wasn't always fresh. Food sitting under heat lamps were dried out and sometimes not edible. I suggest you get your food cooked freshly at the grill. Don't let the chef give you one of the pieces that's been sitting under the heat lamp. All fresh fruit and vegetables were limited in supply and range.

We were on the all inclusive, so we had free access to the bikes and tennis court, which was one of the best benefits at the hotel. The gentlemen at the bike place were very friendly and helpful. We used the bikes everyday to get to the beach (which was 1/2 mile) or to the beach at Cala Millor (which was 1.2 miles).

Overall, I am not sure the hotel is worth the price they are asking. There are better value accommodation in Sa Coma.

The staff were very good for the most part.

Hi. There is no need to take a travel cot as the hotel supplies them. One will usually be set up in the room for when you check in.

Hi. I am currently here. The beach is about a 10 minute stroll at most from the hotel. You walk past shops so if you get distracted it could take longer. It is a good size beach with plenty of sunbeds for hire or if you do not fancy hiring a sunbed plenty of room to place your towel.

Hi. I don't think the hotel does airport transfers although they may be able to recommend a local taxi company. Failing that Hoppa do transfers ranging from a Private taxi to a shuttle bus. As for mobility scooters, I am sure the hotel can arrange these for you as I have seen several in the reception area. Email the hotel (email address is on their website) they are very helpful and reply quickly.
