Overall we were pleased with this hotel. Good location and lots of activities on offer at the hotel. A stones throw to the beach. Room was large and had a very comfortable bed. We were on level 2 with a sea view but unfortunately whilst we had a sea view we also had a great view of the air -con units which was disappointing. Buffet breakfast had a lot on offer which was great. Only downside to the hotel was the availability of pool chairs. I had to wake up at 7am every day just to guarantee my partner and I could secure a spot by the pool. There were two pools, one for everyone and one for adults only..There were many people who placed their towels down at the same time but never seemed to use them . A better system is needed to ensure it is fair for all. Or they just need to invest in more chairs. If you’re not down there by 8am it would be hard to get a chair for the whole day. Also, down at the outside bar there was a staff member called “Laura” I have never met someone so rude and abrupt who worked in the service Industry. Even other people at the pool commented on her attitude and the way she spoke to people. She seemed so miserable and clearly was not enjoying her job.…
Wanted to say a huge thank you to the activities’ team at Melia Calvia beach hotel resort - ( Magaluf) to Pablo and to Teresa and to Cesar and to Fran and to Romina! You make a wonderful unit and my kids Isabella (8 Yrs) and Edwin (7 yrs) loved the activities and all the fun they had ! Appreciate your kindness, professionalism and fun nature! The Melia chain should be so proud of having such a great team. Thoroughly recommend to anyone traveling with kids! Nicole
Hotel marketed upgrade for Front Sea View-& we upgraded room based on this promise. What we see is trees, HVAC & mechanical systems. The room is not “front” & has little Sea view”. Front desk was helpless in justifying, would not provide another option without spending precious holiday repacking, checking-out, storing luggage & returning later in day to check-in to higher room with “Front Sea View”! Once again anticipation for a stay at value paid is met with admitted poor delivery. Makes your decision on hotel brands & properties all that much more important to minimize disappointment at brand, or properties failure to deliver. Hard to give this property another chance with our precious vacation time…..
We are regular Meliá guests and have stayed 4 times before in various hotels. This is our first time in Palma de Mallorca. 1. We booked two rooms under the same name. Hotel did not have the ability to put them close together. In fact, one on level 4 and one on level 8! Receptionist at check in said should be sorted next day. Receptionist next day not able to help because they are “busy” and because “cleaners would have to do an extra clean if we move and they are very busy”. 2. Two receptionists at any one time, serving a hotel with probably 400 rooms. Not enough! 3. Pool sun beds in very short supply. Roughly 80-100 for this size hotel. Guests towel them from 6 or 7am. 4. No beach beds for guests. Available for rent at 20euro per day per bed 5. Breakfast is what you would expect 6. Housekeeping starts very early (around 7am) and are very noisy. The floors are all tile (even hallways) so noise echoes quite a bit 7. Rooms generally quite small but that’s Meliá in most facilities Overall not a good experience considering the price against a 4-star hotel. No benefit or acknowledgement of any kind for customer loyalty, points booking or anything of the sort. If you book here, you should factor in The Level pricing, for which you’d get some beds and an exclusive area as you probably know.…
Me, my partner and our toddler, recently stayed here(it’s the second year in a row) and we can honestly say we have been so impressed with everything. The staff were amazing, so helpful, so friendly, nothing was too much trouble, always smiling and going out of their way to make your stay more memorable. We definitely be back here again! Special thanks to Alba, Jenny and to Carlos El Malo, he’s a very good manager.
Great choice for a family vacation. Staff was very kind and attentive. Special mentions to Carlos at Merkado Restaurant, and Pablo, in charge of hotel activities, they went out of their way to make our stay more enjoyable. Also, Kid's club activities were well coordinated and fun for children (6 and 8 y.o.)
We have stayed at Meliá South Beach a few times but fancied a change to Calvia Beach. This hotel is great, all the staff are very friendly and always helpful. The rooms are a good size with a comfortable bed, shower is powerful and a good selection of toiletries, air conditioning is pretty good considering it was very hot outside. The Level team were great with everyone and always working hard to please the guests. It got pretty busy between 5pm & 6pm when there was free unlimited branded alcohol which me and my partner enjoyed very much. Breakfast in the Level was very good and had something for everyone, we also tried the buffet upstairs and it was also of a very good standard. All in all we would definitely come back to this hotel
Well being a lone traveler and like many not been able to have a break in a while, i decided to return to this hotel as i loved it so much before. Certainly it was a lot busier but that actually made up for the atmosphere and now there are three hotels in the Melia complex which you have access to. I cant thank all the hard working staff enough for such warm welcome and for making my stay magical. The level ladies and gentlemen, the cleaners, the kitchen staff amd even i think the boss when she kinda sorted out my room when it needed a spruce up. Is there a better hotel in the area with great staff, great food and a great location? Well not for me! I am sure you will not be disappointed if you book here . There's plenty of reviews that are like mine. Its a Gem of a place
We had a great week in the hotel, a week full of relaxation and a much needed good rest. From the moment we arrived (We were greeted by Hristo, who is a really nice guy) to the moment we left we were really well looked after by the Level Team. We stayed in a Level Room, the room was big and very clean. The Level Lounge was a great addition to the experience. Maria (Waitress) and Hristo are both great hosts, and are worth looking out for. 2 things worth noting, there are not enough sunbeds on the Level Pool area, and the Level dining in the evening is not in the Level area.
Lovely hotel staff worked really hard Breakfasts amazing the only thing that lets this hotel down is evening dining limited choice Nd Luke warm (if you are lucky) mainly cold not even a microwave to use
