Detailed Reviews
The people who run this hotel are lovely, friendly, humerous and helpful. But, they are getting old and so is the hotel and its facilities.
On the up side, the hotel is cheap, generally clean and is very well placed: good for the airport, shops, beach, bars and resteraunts.
But there are too many problems to give it anything but this rating. Our bathroom was very smelly, the toilet was not secured to the floor and the shower made getting damp reasonably quick but there was no generous flow of water. The beds were reasonably comfortable and there was no appreciable noise from inside the hotel. Given that we visited in late September, the room was airless and overhot,
Breakfast was dire; two hard rolls and a soft sweet one. To go with this was a small portion of margarine (occasionally butter), one small container of jam and a slice of spam. Eating material would be the best possible description of this offering. The coffee was good and the tea was very weak.
Bizarrely the wifi was only on from 9am to 9pm and only in public areas. But you weren't allowed to drink your coffee if you were sitting on the sofa?!
A deposit had to be paid for the remote to the TV in our room. And the TV was so quiet that even at maximum volume, we couldn't hear it in the daytime.
We had friends come to visit us and while the desk phoned up to the room, they weren't allowed to come up to the room to see us!!

This hotel was very good value for money. Basic yet clean, clean towels evry day and owner very helpful. If you are looking for somewhere to sleep and shower you can't fault this hotel. Fab place to eat called the Grapevine just a couple of doors down, serve great English food and owners are lovely. This hotel also has a shower room for use if you have a later flight home.

This hotel is a great value, it was very cheap but very basic. On the other hand you can't expect luxury for a very little money. Rooms are small but you don't need anything bigger. We didn't like that the room was very hot as the windows are pointed to the west. There was no air condition or cooler in the room.
Staff is nice, the old guy speaks spanish and german but his son who was sometimes there speaks english.
Breakfast was very basic, everyday same food. One piece or slice of bread and one slice of ham and cheese. Nothing more.
I wouldn't probably stay there again but last year we were on a low budget so it suited us perfectly. On the other hand when you are on vacation you don't spend your time in a hotel room :-) And it's close to the beach and all the shops.

hotel not recommended, bad shower, soft light in the bathroom not to be seen and indecent cleaning (3 days a week they did not even change towels and sheets) while on the other days they made only the bed. basket full 7 days a week 7. television remote control nonexistent. Recommendation to spend a little more and change hotel also because from the lived experience I would say that the price was not very correct

The only acceptable thing about the hotel is the location.
The room was dirty already since we first entered and in the following days it was not cleaned.
Towels already had stains and in the following days they were not changed and/or cleaned.
I had the dirt bin in my room full for 3 days before they decided to empty it.
Since it was a 2 star we didn't expect luxury, but neither did such stuff with a total lack of service.

I work for hospitality and I understand ética.
Definitely understand this horror place is 2 stars, but work etic and respect is not there.
No uniforms we don't know who we paying and they have scammed me already and even cancel my stay despite tell him them I will be there soon.
Rooms are horrible, 1 toilet roll per 3 days stay so good luck.
Bed sheets are used and for sure never washed until someone complaints.
Floor is dirty bathroom smells.
And looks like is more a alterne than a respectfully place.
After 5 minutes came to the room and find this horror I told them about it and ask for refund. (Wich they gave back imediatamente but because I start recording)
They inspected the room before they pay me wich I understand but the way he done was just walk see and looked outside the window and look for excuses.
I walk 2 minutes to find a better hotel and same price clean room better breakfast.
I recomend Hotel Balear it's 3 stars and it's clean and charges the same. !

This hotel was horrible and thank goodness I only stayed one night. The hotel receptionist was an old guy who didn't have much English and was quite aggressive, shouting at us because my friend was on crutches and we were 10 minutes late vacating our room at 11.10 am. The room was unbearably hot and the hotel had no facilities. I know it was cheap but it was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in in my whole life. Even if it was free I would not stay there again.

To start with the positives Can Pastilla is a fab place with great beach and fab places to eat. It is 10min from the airport and about 20min on bus to Palma city.
Bari hotel is just 100m from beach and main area.
Now the hotel, upon our arrival the owner saw us arriving in our taxi and walked away and never offered to help us with our bags. We found this very strange that the owner wouldn't offer assistance with luggage for two ladies.
On entering the hotel it was lovely and cool so we thought "great there's AC", how wrong were we. We were then informed that we would have to leave the key of room every time we left the hotel. The owner seemed a bit obsessed with this and was there to take the key each time we left.
Now the room. We had a twin room it was TINY and the en suit bathroom was old with a shower from 1960 which needs updating and just a curtain that was too short. The room was so warm with no A/C, we had to hire a fan for 15euro.The room we had was number 19 and looks onto old bars with music playing all night. The TV is the size of a laptop which we didn't use as we were out a lot. The towels and bedding are very old and need replacing.
The room was cleaned daily but still smelt old and musty as did rest of hotel.
There was an older lady also doing reception duty she seemed to also do cleaning duty.
We didn't eat breakfast here as the idea of being served a bread roll and orange juice in a plastic cup was just not happing. As an adult I'm capable of picking my own bread roll and pouring my own orange juice.
Bari hotel is more hostel than hotel and it seems wrong to call it a hotel in fact it's a bit of a cheek.
On check out the owner couldn't care less and never even said goodbye or thank you.
My advice to him would be stop treating people like children and spend some cash on that "hotel" of his

I stayed in this hotel 2 weeks ago. And honestly, if i knew how bad it is i was going to i was going to give more money to sleep somewhere else.
The rooms are small, but this is not the problem. The problem is that they treat you like prisoner 2 persons 8 square meters room. No blankets, very old sheets with holes on them, always watching you when you go out and back. The breakfast like in a prison one old lady counting you 2 ham slices(pepper thin) and two cheese slices( pepper thin) and two pieces of bread (each with the size of... Very small)
One margarine(5 gr) not butter. You can't have more. I returned mine because i was going to eat outside and the lady put my food for the next morning.
Please think good before booking there.

I don't know what word to use for the beginning of my review.... I am disappointed, disgusted, furious and the list go on.
The place is not clean.... We found hair in the sheets. The room is like from horror movie...
There were no blankets even with cold week like this one. I wasn't able to sleep because of the cold. But no one in Hotel Bari speak English, German or French.
And the breakfast was horrible, the mother of the owner was counting 2 slices of ham and cheese in the plate with two pieces of bread for person and after the count was correct she gives you the plate.
