Bedroom door was old and deteriorated, it is quite apparent that the door had been forced and does not has properly security conditions. Inside the room, the door had a piece of plastic stuck in the wood next to the handle;
Electric cables were visible in the wall of the hall and in the wall where the bed was;
The bathtub was damaged and dirty, there were anti-slip strips attached to the bottom which can absorb all kinds of dirt and bacteria, the tub drain was completely rusted;
Curtain cloth in the bathtub that is completely outdated due to poor hygiene that it offers and it's support had so many years that it was yellow colored (originally white);
Mirror light bulbs in the bathroom were damaged, all of them.
The blue wall that it was against the bed had large black patches, presumed to be old stains;
The remaining white walls have numerous damp patches which give us great discomfort;
The air conditioning system even though it was old did not work either;
Light switches and AC sockets were wrongly placed, crooked and broken up;
The fan on the wall was clearly on the wall had loose screws;
Carpet with burn marks;
The metal supports of the furniture were completely deteriorated and rusted;
Behind the bed were three holes in the wall with visible electrical wires that were hidden with paper towel (at least they tried)
The insulation just does not exist, I could hear all of the rooms around and we could also hear the noise of the engines of the elevators all night long, allowing a sleep with several interruptions because of the noise that is heard throughout the hotel ;
The hallways and rooms had the smell of mold which shows clearly the lack of maintenance of the hotel;

Overall and in my opinion, the hotel needs a major overhaul at the level of hygiene, safety and presentation and it is obvious the implicit need of modernization.

Would not recommend this hotel to someone I didn’t like . We got a room on the fourth floor and it smelled like a combination of rotten wood and piss complained and got moved to a room on the third and was thrilled to see for feet of exposed electrical wire and ,for some reason a power outlet about seven feet off the floor in the bathroom . The lights in the stairway weren’t working around the second making them a death trap and management is about as rude as it can get without being outright aggressive

Not dog friendly and the staff not friendly. Discrimination against well trained clean pets. It’s old and needs renovation. Good location though . Parking nearby. I don’t recommend unless you are not looking for customer service and if you don’t have a pet. Good restaurants around.

Please be aware and never book this hotel! It should be closed by authorities! It's not a 3 star hotel! Dirty walls and carpets, old bathrooms, dust all over the windows and footers...

Um completo desastre. Sujidade, pó, humidade e um cheiro nauseabundo nos quartos.

This hotel looks to have last been refurbished in the seventies and shows it. I am a product of the early 1970's myself and cannot claim to have always looked after myself as well as I should. Compared to his place however I have the body of an Olympian. It looks tired to the point of decrepitude. The rooms are dark and drab and dirty. Everything is in wipe clean surfaces, cheap looking PVC being most evident. Sadly, too often it hs not been wiped clean, But then who wants to run a damp cloth over exposed wiring? There are bits of wire sticking out all over the rooms, but perhaps most attention grabbing are the bits around the light fixtures and switches in the beds. Who wants to reach for a light switch and encounter bare wires in the dark. Not me!

Avoid! Avoid!

Beautiful stylish retro 70's chic hotel. Loved the quality furnishing and fittings. Thankfully they have not refurbished since it was constructed. OK, the external fabric could do with a lick of paint, but hey we weren't there to look at the outside. The young receptionist chap was extremely helpful and happy. Very clean place. The hotel is in the centre of all local amenities at an absolute bargain price per night.

Old fashioned, last renovation maybe 20 years back, slow receptionist, bad breakfast.
The only good thing is the view from the breakfast room over the atlantic.
If you have no choice then better than sleep in a car... but not even worth one star. Try to avoid the hotel.
