Pension very well located for travelers by car, close to the center of Aveiro, motorways and beaches of Costa Nova and Praia do Barril in less than 15min by car.

Welcome and very helpful staff.
Indoor swimming pool (accessible by Reservation and with a swimming cap) and outdoor very well!
Amazing typical Portuguese breakfast, I recommend!
I also recommend massages at the SPA, I am currently 7.5 months pregnant and the relaxing massage was adapted for me, it was really great!

But beware, the Pension is under construction, obviously an extension. Therefore who says construction, says associated noises during the day. We came as a family, with an infant who still takes these naps in the afternoon, so with very complicated noises!
The work overlooks the Pension’s outdoor pool, so relaxation is not on the agenda.

In addition, the Inn is particularly poorly insulated!
Indeed, in the rooms have heard everything! The noises of the busy road, night and day, the noises of the room above, the noises in the corridors and the elevator that beeps all the time.
For a 4 star, the insulation is extremely disappointing!

Free private parking is available at -1 of the Pension, but watch out for access! The descent is really very steep, not suitable for low cars, we who have a 4x4, it was just right.

We are disappointed that we were not notified of the work before our arrival and overall of the very poor insulation. The rest of the Inn’s services are correct.

The hotel is located in a quiet area which makes it ideal to disconnect, retired if you want to visit the center of Aveiro.
It features an outdoor pool and a small spa.
The rooms are spacious as well as the bathroom, although amenities are quite scarce for a 4* hotel
Breakfast with quite ample hours with variety and quantity.
Very attentive and helpful staff.

Very pleasant atmosphere. Simple and tasteful decor, with very pleasant corners, such as the outdoor pool. Very clean room and bathroom, with toiletries and minibar.
Breakfast of great quality and variety of products. Very good restaurant. Helpful, friendly staff.
Just one drawback: the indoor pool needs some repairs to the coating and could be better equipped with water jets.

Disappointed by this aging and very poorly maintained hotel. Concerning the room, the bedspreads and "decorative" cushions were all stained and dirty (crazy for a hotel of this standard, I have never seen that even in a non-starred hotel). The bathtub has an antiquated shower head that can't even be hung on the wall for showering.
The Spa is a disaster, it is horribly dirty, the floors are clearly not cleaned and the water is cloudy. I didn't last 30 minutes with my daughter because I found it unhealthy, everyone has been simmering in this water for ages and the pool deserves a good draining. In short, the hotel must certainly have been very pleasant in its early days, but it clearly needs renovation work and, above all, a top-to-bottom cleaning. This is absolutely not consistent with the booking or Google photos. The copious breakfast is very good, however.

Very disappointing. I had high expectations based on the photos of the hotel, but it was disappointing.
There is no privacy when going to the spa, the hotel has a public gym, which makes it a public space. The conditions of the spa leave something to be desired, lots of broken tiles, and I went with a child, I was always scared.
The room was not cleaned the best, there was a lot of dust, both on the furniture and on the floor. We stayed in the first room on the corridor, which allowed us to sleep only when there was absolute silence (from 1am until 6am)
Regarding breakfast, there is a lot of variety, but quantity does not mean quality. I tried a wide variety and the only thing fresh was the bread...
It won't be repeated!

PROS
- General cleanness: About this point I didn't noticed any fail;
- Decoration and room size: I booked a family suite, so the bedrooms were big enough with 2 balconies and a hot tub.

CONS
- Towels in the bathroom: I stayed in a family suite, for a couple and a child, the towels available were not enough, I had to ask for more, and more than once until the staff delivered them to the room;
- Shower water temperature: Not easy to set up and not constant;
- Air conditioner in the bedroom: hard to setup, I was not able to set it up.
- View from thru window of the bedroom: the suite had a nice balcony, but I didn't used it, because there were some cables (phone or electricity, not sure) crossing the balcony... UNACCEPTABLE. (SEE PIC)
- Bedroom soundproofing: terrible, you can hear everything from the rooms around;
- Check-in and checkout: very cold and the general information given were not accurate, Even with the questions I made the answers were not very helpful, I felt the lady was in a hurry.
- Inside pool: bad, turbid water and the floor was taken off and the pipes were showing; (SEE PICS)
- Outside pool: Could be interesting, but despite the hotel guests that are already a lot, the space is also open to people not staying in the hotel, including birthday parties etc. Making hard to have a peaceful time around the pool;
- Internet available: free, but slow and always losing the signal. Not very stable;
- Garage: Free, but the entrance is very steep and the garage is full of pipes and equipments part of the pools system, giving a intense smell to chlorine and the floor with wide areas full of water.

DO I WILL RETURN?
maybe not!

Stayed here for a 5 day trip. Very friendly & efficient front desk. Thankfully, everyone spoke English as I haven’t spoken Portuguese in over 45 years.
Very clean contemporary room with a nice deck looking over the pool. Wonderful full breakfast every morning. The town is beautiful & very safe. I never had a thought of being uncomfortable. There is also underground garaged parking for your car. I never got to use the indoor pool, gym or Jacuzzi, but it looked wonderful. I would highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel provides everything you need at a high quality. The rooms were big, clean and the beds were comfy. The bathroom was hugh with a large spa bath. The wifi was free and worked properly. The breakfast was included and was great. Lots of different choices including hot bacon and eggs. I could also order an espresso rather than the bad filtered coffee. We had an evening meal as well which was reasonably priced and of good quality.

The hotel has a great spa with a pool, sauna, steam room and gym. Open long hours from 8am till 10pm. The gym is also a members gym so they have classes on if you like that sort of thing. The gym is small but well equipped. There is an outdoor pool as well but it was too cold to use. The outdoor area looks great. It has table football, table tennis and a large outdoor area to bathe.

The bar has got a pool table. It has plenty of parking on the street but also has a garage.
The only complaint from my partner was that the rooms were badly lit. The bathroom was also badly lit, which is no good for having a shave or putting on make up.

But on a whole bloody great!!

We booked the suite but when we entered the room it was far from clean, it was as if there was still people in the room. After mentioning this they gave us a suit on another floor. But you know what they say from first impressions... Also no compensation was offered.
New suite was big & very nice, nice bed & different rooms.

We were on our way from Lisbon to the Duoro valley via Averio and stayed overnight here.
The hotel was very standard hotel. Our room overlooked a busy street, which was quite noisy when the window was open. The indoor pool was very murky, but the sauna was OK.
Breakfast was good.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
A good overnight stop
