We are just back from a stay at the Lego pirate island hotel
Checkin at the holiday village reception took a while overall as only 1 desk was manned but was relatively quick once I was being seen to.
The hotel itsself is in the design of a costal village with a large play ship in the middle and lots of lego features round and about.
The room is fabulously decorated with wall to wall pirate and lego themes, even the corridor and stairwells are a feast for the eyes and during the day theres sounds of seagulls and lapping water in the corridors.
Thanks to corona you have to wear masks in communal areas but thats not so much of a problem. You need to select a slot for breakfast and the cold buffet is waiting for you on the table (saving the need to run up and down to a breakfast buffet). Personally, I could have lived without the assorted cuts of spam (and had more real ham instead) but that wasnt an option. Seeing as most guests were german, they probably lapped up the spam which is part of their culture so I am the odd one out, for now.
Pricewise, its insanely expensive. If you book through legoland with park admission in your package, and balance out the cost of 2 days admission @€40 per person it can be somewhat justifiable and on a par with the cost of a family hotel (where meals and child care are included).
On the other hand, with season tickets the cost of €300 per night for room and breakfast (and add €80 for evening meal) will not be something we will be doing any time soon again.
So to summarise..... its an amazing one off experience but way overpriced which will unfortunately rule it out for many, or rule out repeat visits for all but the wealthy or self employed people with a good tax advisor

Room Tip: For the few euro extra, a room in the castle or pirate village over the "themed rooms"...

We booked the Legolamd with an overnight stay as a surprise for our son.
We stayed in one of the themed rooms in the small bungalows.
It's great that you can park right in front of the accommodation and be in Legoland within 10 minutes.
The accommodation has everything you need for an overnight stay in my opinion. A bed for everyone, a toilet and a shower.
I don't need anything more to be happy.
I'm deducting a small point because there is a bit of mold on the tile mirror in the bathroom near the shower.
But it doesn't bother me during my stay.
Otherwise everything is clean.
Towels and bed linen are provided. There is a hairdryer and shower items are also hanging in the shower.
In the children's room there is a Lego box for the children and lots of play options outside.
We had booked dinner and breakfast at the jungle buffet and were very happy. Of course, you can't compare it to a restaurant. There is a selection of delicious and simple dishes in buffet form and there is something for everyone.
Overall it is expensive but great fun. We felt very comfortable

We stayed the Legoland holiday parc on both the way to and back from Italy, coming from the Netherlands. Locationwise it’s very handy for a lay over.
Both times we had a themed cottage which has a seperate bedroom with bunkbed. We especially enjoy this place because of the playgrounds for the kids, which come in very handy after over 6 hours in the car.
We doubted making the reservation because of the costs, around € 300 for one night. But if you realise this is for 4 people, offers 2 bedrooms, includes a good breakfast buffet and various playgrounds, it’s definitely worth it. And the kids really enjoy the experience.
The only complaint we had was there was an anniversary fireworkshow on the first night we stayed there. Nobody informed us this would happen during the check-in. The kids were asleep and at 10 PM it sounded like canons were fired from the cottage next door. It woke them and scared them a lot. We heard a lot of other kids crying in the cottages around us.

It was our first time visiting Legoland so we went “all in”. We stayed in the castle, paid the family special for a synthetic bedcover for the kid and a tiny Lego box. The Legos in the room were all sticky so we could not play with them. We needed to ask for a teakettle in the room, and afterwards they did not change the cups and glasses for our entire 4-days stay. Breakfast was ok.
It was great to have park very close by foot, and the playgrounds in and outside the park are the best thing.
Restaurants are too expensive for the type of food they are serving, especially the all you can eat one. We were craving and missing some authentic food, so the wurst stand was the best thing we ate there.
We enjoyed the mini golf and bowling.
The park did not seem anything special and we agree with many other comments that it is outdated. As we were there in April, there were no shows, and we only saw one Lego mascot. The Lego app was not working correctly, showing a ride open so we went for it across the whole park, learning once we were at the spot that it is actually closed.

We stayed at the knight hotel, we liked the interior of the hotel, the room, the quality of the furnitures and bathroom, the little Lego things in the room. Playground around the hotel is also a great idea. Well done Lego. This was a real experience for us. Breakfast is normal however its sad that there are no real vegan options available.

We have been to the holiday village for the fourth time now and have always been delighted. The layout of the rooms is always the same. There is a parent's area with a double bed and a small separate room for the children. They are lovingly furnished and always clean and well looked after. They are cleaned every day. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious. The food in the "Zur Tafelrunde" restaurant is also very good. There are many playgrounds to discover on the premises and for a fee you can also play bowling and mini golf. However, we have not been there when it was hot. This time we were there in June. The temperature was around 26°C and it was muggy and warm. It would have been enough to open the window at night to be able to sleep. But sleeping was out of the question due to the large number of frogs. So at night we had to turn on the air conditioning, which hummed loudly. However, it is covered by the closet, so it took a long time to cool the room down. It also became apparent that the very small children's room quickly became very warm.

We spent four days at the campsite this autumn, including two days' entry to LEGOLAND, and I have to say that this was the first campsite where, despite lots of children, the washroom, toilets and showers were always spotlessly clean, both at the campsite and in LEGOLAND. The staff were great and super friendly. The only negative point was the hot water. I think that this should always be available, and not just turning on the boiler at 7pm in the evening and hoping it will be warm. This should be improved and a better solution should be found. That's why I'm deducting two points for service.

We had a great time in the themed hotels! The decorations in the hotels and rooms was incredible and so much fun for the kids!
There are so many playgrounds to explore and fun to be had when you need a break from the hustle and bustle of the park!
The only negative we found were the options in the restaurants for people with allergies or food preferences:-(. There were no gluten free or dairy free options. We had to pay extra to order the kids menu with just a grilled instead of breaded chicken! OUTRAGEOUS!
My husband is vegan and had one!!! option on the menu! Besides that not giving him any variety or option to chose that dish had ingredients he can not eat. Thank god we brought protein powder and lots of snacks!

Firstly, the room was absolutely amazing and our 4 year old still speaks of it every day. I wish we never left it!! The rest of the hotel area and playgrounds were totally overwhelmed by the many, many, many people staying there, mainly in the large camping area: kids literally on too of each other on each playground (an issue at normal time...), no space in any of the restaurants unless you pre-booked (we had to wait until 9:30pm) and no chance of any social distancing anywhere. They restrict the number in the actual Legoland park (which was surprisingly pleasant) while they clearly fill the hotels and camping to the maximum.

Our entire experience was really great. However, I am specifically writing to tell you about the outstanding dinner we had in the steakhouse. First of all, our waitress (Pauline i think) was AMAZING! Funny, friendly, professional, knowledgeable... she was fantastic. That alone would have made this great. But, the food (steak) cooked by Timothy was the best I have had in 27 years in Germany. We were so well taken care of I just had to write and compliment these outstanding employees. I wish we could eat there every week. To ensure we give credit to the correct server, we were family Ritch room 127 and we had a 1900 reservation on 30 Aug. Thank you all!

Did you finally visit Legoland? If so, which one do you recommend now based on your experience?
We actually didn’t stay at the hotel. After I posted my review of the amusement park I realized I had put it in the resort site instead of the park site. Sorry, can’t advise you!
Hi, this is what I found on their website,
"Got a Merlin Annual Pass? Receive up to 20% off your overnight stay at either the LEGOLAND® Resort Hotel or the LEGOLAND Castle Hotel – including the school holidays!"
But I would suggest you email them with specific dates if you have to see what they can offer you.
Hi Tinatekle,
The rooms at the LEGOLAND Feriendorf castles are wheelchair accessible.
The ground floor has an entrance from the lobby and the first floor is accessible with an elevator from the lobby.
Enjoy your stay.
Yuval
