I stayed with my sister in Francoise's beautiful house. We sat in the garden, in the middle of nature ,in one of the most beautiful areas in France and painted. We miss it very much and hope to be back soon!!!

We come afar from Australia and count our blessings that we accidently found La Bouquiere in 1990. Since then we have returned 7 or 8 times and this must show that we have been totally satisfied with what it has to offer. Many travellers welcome the opportunity to relax and absorb the rural setting in total comfort and with such friendly and helpful hosts. Bonnieux is very handily placed for visiting the many other interesting villages and sights in the Luberon Valley of Provence. Good restaurants, markets and shopping are only minutes away by car.
We have noted how well Francoise and Angel Escobar have grown their Bed and Breakfast and at all times they have put the guest first. We have artistic interests and Francoise as an artist herself has always been interested and helpful in our endeavours.
We recommend this establishment to all travellers and holiday makers.

We first stayed at this beautiful property on our honeymoon in 1992 and have been returning ever since. Nestled amongst the trees, this quintessentially provencal stone building wiith irs blue shutters looks over the beautiful Luberon valley. Each of the 4 rooms is filled with charm, furnished in the local style and decorated with paintings by proprietor Francoise.. There is a beautiful breakfast room on the ground floor with an adjoining kitchen available for guest use.
The gardens roll down to a swimming pool overlooking the valley, a perfect way to while away a sunny provencal day.
Your hosts Angel and Francoise are welcoming and helpul. Francoise is a well-known painter whose works adorn the house. Angel, a diminutive Spaniard is full of character and helpful advice, conveyed often through expressive gestures.
The property is just outside the beautiful village of Bonnieux, down a winding country lane. The moment you set eyes on it, you'll know it was worth the journey

I would think twice before staying here. It is located quite far in the country and requires several trial runs or you will not get back after dinner. The grounds were unkept and as the rooms are located under neath in the back of the home not particularly easy to negotiate in the dark. Although the rooms are nice In the rain they can become damp.

such a warm welcome again from the Escobar family, whilst visiting for the second time with my mother - this little corner of paradise is just a perfect escape from the hectic life most of us lead ! Near enough to interesting towns & villages for days out and restaurants in the evening, this attractive house offers tastefully decorated rooms with a blend of attractive antique furniture and modern comfort. Couple this with a quiet, peaceful garden sloping down to the pool, just off the beaten track and I can't think of many better ways of combining a relaxing holiday with a little sightseeing in this attractive are of the Provence. M. & Mme Escobar are also very knowledgeable about special places to visit in the nearby area - ones that you probably won't find in the guide books. I'm already counting down to our next visit in June 2010 ! Everall

We stayed in this lovely B&B for a week and used it as home base while making day trips around Provence. You need a car as it is located outside of Bonnieux on a country lane. Francioise and Angel are wonderful hosts. The B & B has three bedrooms, all with private washroom and access to a private patio. There is a shared common and kitchen area with a fireplace and places to sit and enjoy a glass of wine after a day of sight seeing or prior to going out for dinner.
Franciose provided excellent suggestions re: towns, markets and restaurants and was always very friendly and accommodating.
We hope to return one day and would definitely be repeat customers (if she has room).
Cathy

La Bouquiere is just a lovely place with a lot of beauty and individuality. Francoise and her husband are very welcoming and serve a delicious breakfast with fresh bread, croissants, fruitsalad, yoghurt and marmelade every morning on a beautiful sunny terrace with an amazing view. The pool is fabolous refreshing with a gourgeous view into the vineyards and mountains. All rooms have a private terrace, are beatifully made and feel like home. There is also a kitchen to make some tea. We can´t wait to come back.

I do not write reviews regularly, but I'm compelled to describe my experience at this lovely B&B. My wife and I stayed two nights at La Bouquiere in mid-June, which is a fantastic time to visit this area. It's set in an exceptionally beautiful area, peaceful and quiet. We were met by the owner, Francoises, who greeted us with a huge smile and showed us our room, the kitchen, the surrounding grounds and made us feel very welcomed. The room was excellent - exceptionally clean, nice bathroom, and a door leading to a private patio with a view of cherry orchards, a gorgeous garden, the Luberon valley below and Mt. Ventoux off in the distance.
Francoises prepared breakfast for us outside, some lovely jams, bread, croissants and coffee. We asked her husband, Angel, for walking tips to go to Lacoste and he helped us find a quiet, amazing trail to the nearby town. Francoises and Angel have been running the B&B for 30 years and you can tell they truly love hosting and sharing their property with guests. We mingled with the other guests over breakfast, but we also had plenty of privacy sitting in the early evening by the pool, or taking alfresco dinner on our patio.
The location is a 3km walk from the center of Bonnieux, but as my wife and I were on a walking vacation, we loved the secluded, quiet location of the B&B.
