This hotel is primarily for long-term people staying in the area to work. Many single men walking around that were friendly. We saw quite a few pizza deliveries and other fast food deliveries. No breakfast. The front desk staff were very nice.

We're back. It's a low budget hotel, but we couldn't afford much else. We stayed here in April. It was fairly clean, but the people hanging out in the parking lot, and LIVING in the hotel were kind of sketchy.
Now, it's been given a facelift with new carpet and doors, total new lobby, and it looks like the people have been cleared out from hanging out as well.
Bedding has also been updated.

The room had its own sitting area with a couch, easy chair, desk, fridge and microwave, plus the bedroom area. It was obviously designed for a traveler who will be at that location for some extended period, although my wife and I were staying for just one night. The room and common areas were clean and in great shape. Overall, the ambience, cleanliness, and comfort were much more than I expected from a budget hotel.

I stayed at the Springhill Suites near Chesapeake Square Mall for 2 nights and had a wonderful experience. The rooms are very nice and quite comfortable, and the free breakfast in the morning was great. Not only did u have the traditional continental breakfast, but u also had waffles, eggs, sausages, etc. U must get up early for this to get the full breakfast though, cause if u come closer to the end, u will only have the continental breakfast option. I was highly impressed with the fact that this hotel has an indoor pool and spa, and that it was so close to everything in the area. Definitely would stay here again.

stayed here they lied about being booked up because I requested that I be switched to 1st floor due to marijuana smell. I contacted owner and never response. Worst stay, worst customer service. I was told by owner daughter Maria/ hotel manager if I don't like how they handle things then I don't have to spend my $ there, after no refunds stated by her... never apology for being mistreated, she just laughed on r. She said her dad was the owner like he wouldn't care how she treated me....in a snobbish way, like my hard earned money I spent didn't matter. I felt belittled and looked down on. Luckily my bank gave me FULL REFUND FOR MY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE😊 if you're professional or polite and clean and value your hard earned money, then this place isn't for you. Housekeeping VERY rude drug addicts who steal, things won't be replaced either

The staff were very helpful and courteous, however, they don't have much to work with. The room was non-smoking but it was obvious that it had been smoked in at some time. Very stale smoke odor masked with some kind of freshener. There was a distinct lack of plugs for electronic equipment. The TV remote was cracked and almost broken in half. The pillows barely raised your head above the bed; they had to be folded double to get any kind of support. The bathroom was the best feature. The shower head gave a good stream and adjusted to accommodate my 6'3" frame. It was also surprisingly quiet. I tried to save money and I got what I paid for. Will not stay again.

LET ME START BY SAYING, I SHOULD'VE KNOWN BETTER THAN TO CHECK INTO AT A HOTEL THAT SELLS "BLUNTS" AT THE FRONT DESK!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unlike other guest, I didn't choose this hotel. The hotel was reserved by the guest of honor in advance for an event that I was attending in the area. I didn't even stay in my room (checked in at 2:32am and was gone at 3:07am) and was still charged for the night. I dropped off my husband and went to the store, when I returned my husband greeted me at the door and said that the hallway smelled of urine, the room wasn't clean and the bathroom was dirty. I told the front desk person that we wouldn't be staying and the first thing that she asked was "Is it because of the bathroom?" I told her the issues that I had and insisted that I not be charged for the night and she told me that I would have to take it up with the manager. I called and spoke to the manager and he told me that he reserved 5 rooms for that weekend and lost a lot of money because only one guest showed up. He said that somebody was going to pay because he lost money and that somebody was going to be me and that if I had any issues, I should take them up with the guest of honor that reserved the rooms and not him. I explained that I would've stayed at the hotel if the room was up to par but my issue is not with the person that reserved the room, it's with the hotel. He stated that he was done talking about it and was going to hang up on me. This hotel use to be a Marriott about 6 years ago, please believe that it is NOTHING close to the Marriott standard. It is in such bad shape and needs to be revamped immediately. The owners, management and staff need to be replaced and the hotel needs a complete renovation by someone that knows and understands the true meaning of HOSPITALITY.

This hotel was the worst I have ever stayed in I couldn't sleep because people was walking the hallway all night. Hotel room door didn't work. It was one thing after another. The ice machine didn't work. The rooms had a musty smell. Nothing was clean.

We stopped at the Studio & Suites on our way to Outer Banks, NC. We thought it would be a good and affordable place to stop for the evening before finishing our drive. Boy, were we wrong. Immediately upon arrival, we could tell the hotel (which had mostly positive feedback) was not your typical road trip hotel. There were 4-5 cars parked in the unloading zone, blocking it entirely, and the people in the cars were just hanging out and smoking (very obviously not actually unloading anything) . When you walk in the front door, there is a giant cardboard sign that states there is "No parties allowed" and "ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS". There was a group of adult men hanging out in the lobby (which reeked of cigarette smoke), and this group stared at my wife when she walked in to the point where she was extremely uncomfortable. It was very clear this establishment functions more as a temporary housing establishment, and not a traveler's hotel. The lady behind the counter was rude, and spent more time negotiating the price of a bottle of marijuana scented spray with the man in front of us than she did checking us in. Long story short, the atmosphere on our floor and in our room was not any better, as it was noisy and smelled like smoke, and we left the hotel about 30 minutes after getting to our room. Do not stay at this establishment if you are just passing through. May be fine if you know the people and area, but not a comfortable, clean, or welcoming place to stay.

This is no longer a Marriott. We were never informed off the change. Our reservations for 2 rooms and our large family were not honored. We called to confirm reservations the night before and still no one told us this was a Suites 4 Less and they confirmed via email and on the phone. Upon arrival, no rooms. No Marriott. Calling Marriott's central phone number did not help- we asked for other locations to find lodging and were put on hold several times for longer than 20 minutes while Marriot employess tried to figure out what was going on with this location. Luckily the nearby Hampton Inn helped us with accomodations. This hotel was awful. How can you not honor reservations or inform customers of such a big change? To add insult to injury we got an email asking "how was your stay"?!
